About the role

We are recruiting a paralegal to join CCLC’s friendly and committed Community Care team and work with a small but dedicated team of experienced solicitors.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a keen interest in upholding the rights of vulnerable children and young people who is seeking to progress their legal aid career in the charity sector. Our lawyers benefit from a good work-life balance and realistic financial and chargeable hour targets. We advise children and young people up to the age of 25, and families, on a wide range of community care and public law issues. After training, the role can be split between working from home/office-based with flexibility as to the balance between the two, dependent on team requirements.

Our community care team works closely with colleagues in the Immigration and Family teams, as well as with other organisations within the Coram group, including Coram Voice and the Migrant Children’s Project. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a passion and commitment to upholding the rights of vulnerable children and young people.

As well as conducting casework for individuals, our community care team undertakes strategic litigation for the wider benefit of children, young people and families, and is actively involved in policy issues impacting our client base.

The Sheppard Trust provides homes for older women in housing need, and we support them to live independently.  We reduce loneliness and isolation by fostering a supportive community spirit. 

We're planning to move to brand-new, purpose built accommodation near Hampton Court village in Surrey.   Whilst we wait for the build to complete, 20 of our existing residents are temporarily housed in Mill Hill, with 4 housed in Greenford.  Their new homes are expected to be ready in July 2026.   The aim of this role is to support these residents before, during and after our move, as well as to plan, organise and deliver the logistics of the moves.

We're a small friendly team who are currently flexibly hybrid working.  This role is based on 21 hours a week, with two visits per week to Mill Hill and occasional visits to Greenford and Hampton Court.  The rest of the work could be carried out from home if desired.  From July to September when the moves take place the workload will be higher and more on-site attendance may be necessary on move days.   

The right appointment is important to us, so we're willing to discuss proposals for alternative working arrangements including adding additional responsibilities to create a full time role. There will be the opportunity to apply for permanent positions at the  new site if wished.

The Silver Line Helpline is recruiting for 2 Helpline Volunteer Co-ordinators to join their fantastic team providing a vital service to older people across the UK.  The Silver Line Helpline is a free, confidential telephone service offering friendship, conversation and support to older people, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

As a Helpline Volunteer Co-ordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting and growing a valued team of volunteers who deliver a high quality, safe and compassionate service to older people. You’ll ensure volunteers receive a good onboarding experience, feel confident in their role and are supported every step of the way.

Working closely with colleagues across the Helpline, you’ll manage volunteer recruitment and onboarding, deliver training, respond to enquiries, and help volunteers use a range of IT systems. You’ll work flexibly in a fast paced, 24 hour service environment, including taking and making calls to older people when needed. Your work will help ensure volunteers are well trained, supported, and empowered to deliver a consistent, empathetic and safe service.

These exciting positions offer hybrid working between home and our Blackpool office. We currently require office attendance a minimum of once a quarter. As Digital Innovation Officer, you’ll help deliver and grow Project Intercept, our deterrence programme with tech companies. We work with platforms such as Google, Meta and Aylo to create online interventions that deter harmful behaviour and guide people to confidential support through our Stop It Now service. Working closely with the Innovation Programme Lead, you’ll take charge of the technical running of our chatbot, track the impact of our online warnings, and help manage day to day work with global partners.

You don’t need to be a developer, but you should be comfortable navigating platforms, problem-solving and learning as you go. Yada is a small charity working to prevent and remove the stigma around the sexual exploitation of women and girls. Based in West Sussex our services include specialist 1-1 tailored support to self-identifying women involved in the sex industry, as well as partnership working to deliver preventative workshops to women who may be at risk of sexual exploitation.

Our training offer to professionals who support women who are being sexually exploited has also grown over the last few years. In 2025 over 200 professionals received our training. We are at an exciting time in the development of the charity as we look to expand our services, including reviewing our established training offer and exploring new options. 

The role

The Training and Resourcing Lead will have a key role to play in shaping and strengthening Yada, building on our previous success, and ensuring the charity’s sustainability as a respected specialist in the area of sexual exploitation locally and nationally. The role will have responsibility for leading on the review, design, development and delivery of our training offer to external partners and professionals, including networking and proactive local partnership building, to ensure all professionals who support women who are vulnerable to sexual exploitation receive training support. The role will also have responsibility to research, design and deliver a package of short internal training sessions for the development and upskilling of our outreach staff to ensure they remain trauma informed and current as specialists in supporting women in the sex industry. There is an expectation that the post holder will become Yada’s specialist in the sexual exploitation of women who are at risk, and be able to share this knowledge.

About you

We are seeking a self-motivated and organised female who has experience at collabarative working and relationship building, with previous experience in presenting or training.  She should have the ability to take on a specialist area and share this with others in a professional manner in person or online, promoting positive learning. Ideally this person would have previous experience or knowledge of working with vulnerable people, demonstrate an understanding to responses to trauma and PTSD, or show a commitment and passion for marginalised communities and be willing to learn. Knowledge of violence against women and girls would be an advantage.​

The Geological Society Publishing House has an exciting opportunity within the publishing operations team for a ‘Publishing Platform Lead’ to maintain our established flagship publishing platform the Lyell Collection.

Overall responsibilities / requirements …

To oversee the smooth running of the Society’s publishing platform, which showcases our portfolio of online titles. Reporting to the Head of Publishing Operations (HoPO), you will be chiefly responsible for the management, support and maintenance of the Atypon powered Lyell Collection platform.

You will collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless operations and stay up to date with the latest emerging platform technologies. You will be responsible for maintaining the Society’s online publishing platforms, so an understanding of a range of standard integrations, workflows, html and XML is essential.

Key accountabilities

Platform maintenance

• Oversee and maintain the Atypon Web Admin Tool (WAT) for the Society’s scholarly book and journal platform.
• Manage a queue of platform maintenance and change requests, including triage, feasibility analysis, testing and quality assurance.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for reporting platform issues to Atypon (the hosting provider), managing communications, and monitoring the support ticket system to ensure timely resolution.
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot platform issues reported internally and communicate resolution statuses.
• Support development of new platform features and assist with implementation and QA.
• Maintain, validate, edit, and troubleshoot JATS XML while staying current with JATS and NISO standards and ensuring vendor compliance.
• Set up new pages and journal/book series sites within the platform as needed, ensuring all new website content is consistent with site templates and branding.
• Ensure that any new developments are tested and work as per requirements, utilizing the test facilities of the platform via sandbox areas. 

Third party tools and services

• Act as the point of contact with vendors who provide supporting or downstream services for the Lyell Collection, e.g. CrossRef, Digital Science, indexing services etc.
• Oversee the smooth deposit of selected content via Zipline into the GeoScienceWorld (GSW) platform, hosted by Silverchair. This is published via multiresolution doi on both the Lyell Collection and GSW.

Accessibility

• Manage web accessibility compliance in collaboration with internal teams and external vendors by overseeing the implementation of necessary improvements in line with publishing standards and directives.
• Check that any changes in XML tagging or online display meet accessibility requirements.
