Bringing together workstreams in ecological management, estate management, visitor experience and engagement, this project is based on a shared vision and aims to deliver ecological, social and economic wellbeing outcomes for the nature reserve and the surrounding area. 

The successful candidate will initially manage and co-ordinate the development phase of the project to include the detailed planning and deliverables to successfully obtain permissions and funding for the delivery phase.

These posts offer an excellent opportunity for a project manager with a proven track record of successfully delivering large scale, multidisciplinary strategic projects in cooperation with colleagues, partners and the local community and for a senior projects officer to support and co-ordinate for the development phase of the project which will include the detailed planning and deliverables to successfully obtain permissions and funding for the delivery phase, which is an excellent opportunity for a to build their experience supporting a high profile, multidisciplinary strategic project in cooperation with colleagues, partners and the local community. 

Excellent co-ordination and collaboration skills and the ability to drive delivery are essential to allow you to support and enable the organisation to bring our vision for a Wilder Hickling to life and to make an even greater impact for wildlife in Norfolk. 

There is the potential for this role to be extended into the delivery phase of the project subject to the successful outcomes of the development phase.

The ability to communicate in Welsh fluently and confidently is essential for this role.

You will be responsible for the pipeline of projects, understanding and responding to the different needs of our customers by providing advice and considered feedback, and be willing to have challenging but constructive conversations. Funding Officers will ensure our grant management and assessment play an effective part in contributing to the Fund’s knowledge and learning as a grant maker. You will manage your own caseload, liaise with grant recipients, undertake project visits, identify and manage risk, supporting organisations to deliver their projects and measure their impact.

Peterborough Citizens is part of Citizens UK, a nationwide alliance that brings together local groups to campaign for social justice and community improvement. In Peterborough, it works with schools, faith groups, and community organisations to address issues like housing, safety, and opportunity. We’ve been active for five years, building local leadership and creating positive change through collective action.

This role will focus on delivering the Pride in Place: Listening to Leadership programme across Peterborough. The Community Organiser will support the delivery of a 12-month programme that moves from listening → action → leadership, building long-term community power and neighbourhood governance.  The role combines core community organising practice with structured delivery of engagement, analysis, and leadership development.

Community Organising

Through our theory of social change, called community organising, we train thousands of everyday people to lead change in their communities, equipping them with the skills to hold politicians and other powerholders to account. We are made up of 500+ member organisations in powerful alliances throughout the UK. Our members include schools, universities, faith groups, parents’ groups, health practices, charities, trade unions and other civil society organisations.

Purpose

At Citizens UK, our organisers and project staff work within communities to develop leaders, strengthen organisations, campaign for change and organise across difference. There are various project roles and operational, communication, finance and HR roles that support the organisation and project staff and organisers to deliver on this mission and work. Main Responsibilities

As a Pride in Place Community Organiser with Peterborough Citizens, you will use the Citizens UK method to build relationships across civic institutions—such as schools, faith groups, and community organisations—to develop local leaders and strengthen their collective power. You will lead a broad listening campaign to surface shared concerns, support communities to identify priorities, and co-create strategies that turn those issues into winnable campaigns, including engaging decision-makers and organising public actions. Grounded in the belief that local people can shape their neighbourhoods, you will help deliver tangible “you said, we did” outcomes, build sustainable structures for resident voice and accountability, and contribute to the wider Pride in Place initiative by embedding long-term community leadership and change.

​As an experienced Learning and Development Lead/Co-ordinator. You should have:

• ​Sector Knowledge: Experience in Adult Social Care and an understanding of CQC standards.

• ​Technical ability: Comfortable introducing a Learning Management System (LMS).

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced community fundraiser to play a key role in developing and delivering inspiring fundraising products and campaigns that build strong supporter relationships and generate sustainable income for the Hospice.

Reporting to the Community and Events Manager, you will lead on a portfolio of community fundraising activity, including ownership of the Hospice’s In Memory fundraising programme. You’ll create thoughtful, supporter focused journeys for people with a close personal connection to St Luke’s, ensuring every interaction is sensitive, engaging and impactful.

Working collaboratively across fundraising, communications and supporter care teams, you’ll help shape innovative campaigns, analyse performance and deliver exceptional supporter experiences that strengthen long-term engagement.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the planning, delivery and evaluation of community fundraising campaigns and products
• Managing and developing the In Memory fundraising programme
• Creating engaging supporter stewardship journeys
• Monitoring income, activity and performance data to inform future planning
• Working collaboratively across teams to deliver integrated fundraising activity
• Ensuring all fundraising activity complies with relevant regulations and best practice

To be successful, you will have:

• Experience delivering community fundraising campaigns or products
• Strong supporter stewardship experience, ideally including In Memory fundraising
• Excellent project management and communication skills
• Experience using CRM systems and analysing supporter data
• A collaborative approach and passion for delivering excellent supporter experiences
