About Degrees
The Degrees Initiative is a UK-based NGO that builds the capacity of the Global South to evaluate solar radiation modification (SRM) geoengineering, a controversial proposal for reducing some impacts of climate change by reflecting sunlight away from the Earth. Degrees is neutral on whether SRM should ever be used, but we believe that the Global South should be empowered to conduct their own research and to play a central role in SRM discussions. The initiative has been working in different forms for over a decade, and our work receives worldwide coverage and widespread acclaim.
Role
The Events Officer will coordinate and support the planning and delivery of Degrees’ international events, including workshops bringing together Degrees-funded researchers, policymakers and other stakeholders, and the biennial Degrees Global Forum. Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, the Events Officer will help ensure high-quality events that strengthen collaboration, showcase research outcomes, facilitate engagement with policymakers and advance Degrees’ mission to build capacity in the Global South to engage equitably in SRM deliberations.
The Events Officer will also provide general administrative support to the Policy Engagement team.

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape and grow St Luke's corporate partnerships programme. The Corporate Partnerships Officer will play a leading role in generating new income and developing relationships with businesses whose values align with our mission. Working closely with the Head of Corporate Partnerships, this role will identify, cultivate and secure new corporate partnerships that support St Luke's work through sponsorship, charitable giving, employee fundraising, volunteering and wider social value initiatives.

Corporate Partnership Development

We're looking for someone with experience of verging or similar church support work to provide Maternity Cover for up to 12 months. Working with the expert volunteers in the Methodist Heritage Committee and teams at our heritage sites, as well as Connexional (national) staff team colleagues in archives, property and communications, for example, you will be someone who can ensure coordinated best practice for the Church in heritage management in relation to historic properties, advise on collection care and develop engaging interpretation and outreach.
This role has an occupational requirement to be a practicing Christian in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.
We are also open to considering remote/homeworking arrangements (salary may vary accordingly).
