At Likewise, the core of what we do is build meaningful one-to-one relationships with people who are finding life difficult, and use those relationships to help people feel supported and make change.
We're recruiting up to three Hostels Mental Health Support Workers to join a brand new service, starting this autumn. In this role, you would be doing that work inside Camden's homelessness hostels, going in to work alongside residents and the staff teams who support them. You would be embedded in a set of hostels, aligned to a part of the borough, with a regular on-site presence and a caseload of up to 15 people.
The people you work with are adults experiencing homelessness with complex needs, whose mental health is often a practical barrier to moving on. Much of the work is about helping someone stabilise and build the confidence to take their next step.
Camden's Adult Pathway is made up of 16 hostels, supporting around 600 people experiencing homelessness with complex needs. Mental health need in those hostels has risen sharply, and hostel staff are holding far more of it than they are set up or supported to hold. This is a new service, funded by government for three years. The model is designed but not yet lived, and whoever joins will help shape how it actually works.
Likewise is a community-centred mental health and wellbeing charity based in Camden. We believe that people thrive when they have access to meaningful relationships, supportive communities and opportunities to contribute. We're also committed to building a different kind of organisation, one that values trust, learning, autonomy and shared responsibility.
You don't need a specific qualification to apply, and we welcome people from a range of backgrounds. But this is not an entry-level role: we need people with real support work experience behind them. We care more about how you are with people, how you think and how you work than about your CV on paper.
If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.
We want to make our recruitment as inclusive as possible. If there is a part of this process where you may need reasonable adjustments to do your best, please get in touch to chat it through.
Your CV: we welcome either chronological or skills-based CVs, whichever works best for you.
Your cover letter: we will not accept generic letters; you need to answer the following question: Tell us about a time you supported someone through something difficult. What did you actually do, what was hard about it, and what did you learn? This can be from work or from volunteering. Please answer in no more than 500 words.
We support often isolated, marginalised or excluded people by building authentic relationships and community together.

About the role:
Every young person deserves more than a roof over their head. They deserve a place where they feel safe, seen and able to imagine a future for themselves.
We are looking for two Deputy Team Managers to join our Ofsted Registered Young Person’s Accommodation Services, with one opportunity in Camden and one in Greenwich. Working alongside the Service Manager, you will help turn our accommodation into places where young people aged 16 and over - including care leavers and young people facing multiple disadvantage - can build trust, discover their strengths and take meaningful steps towards adulthood and independence.
You will be a visible, energising presence in the service, giving staff the guidance, confidence and space they need to deliver exceptional support. From coaching colleagues and strengthening support and safety plans to responding to safeguarding concerns, missing episodes and periods of disengagement, you will help the team remain curious, persistent and ambitious for every young person. You will also make sure preparation for the future starts from day one, creating opportunities for young people to develop practical life skills, reconnect with education or employment and move towards a home of their own.
You will build strong relationships with local authorities and partner agencies, maintain high standards across housing management, health and safety and Ofsted compliance, and make sure young people are not simply consulted but genuinely heard. Their experiences, ideas and ambitions should shape the support they receive and the way the service grows.
This is an opportunity to lead with heart, challenge what could be better and see the difference your leadership makes in young people’s everyday lives. Through reflective practice, ongoing learning and development and hands on management experience, you will continue growing as a leader, with opportunities to progress across Single Homeless Project's (SHP) Young Person’s Services and the wider organisation.
About you:
- You believe in young people’s potential and know how to build trust, spark confidence and keep going when progress is not straightforward.
- You have experience supervising or developing staff who support young people, including care leavers and those facing multiple disadvantage.
- You understand Ofsted Registered accommodation and can help colleagues turn safeguarding, trauma-informed practice and professional curiosity into meaningful everyday support.
- You are a calm, encouraging and hands-on leader who gives clear guidance, strengthens practice and helps colleagues grow without taking over.
- You bring resilience, fresh ideas and a genuine appetite to develop, using your creativity to open up opportunities for young people to build skills, independence and hope for the future.
About us:
We’re London’s leading homelessness charity – and we get things done.
In a city where hundreds are forced into homelessness every day, our work has never been more needed or more challenging. And we’re not shying away. We’re rolling up our sleeves to make change and helping over 10,000 Londoners every year. We prevent homelessness, provide safe places to live and give people the opportunity to rebuild their lives and transform their futures. And we never give up.
We’re here for Londoners wherever they are on their journey. We start with trust, building relationships that help people feel safe, supported, and ready to move forward. Every day, we put people first in everything we do, challenging injustice and barriers that keep people from the safety, stability and opportunity they deserve. We stand alongside people as they rebuild and shape a future that feels their own.
Joining Single Homeless Project means joining a team that’s bold, compassionate and determined to do better for the people we support and for each other. You’ll work alongside colleagues with lived experience, in a space that’s trans-inclusive, disability-friendly, and actively striving to be anti-oppressive and equitable.
We’re not perfect, but we’re real. We listen. We learn. And we push forward, together. Because this isn’t just a job. It’s a chance to lead with empathy, spark change, and help build a London where no one is left behind.

About the role
This is a rare opportunity to lead one of the UK's most significant cultural fundraising campaigns. We're looking for an experienced major gifts or capital fundraising professional who thrives on building exceptional relationships and securing transformational support. You'll join us at a pivotal moment, leading campaigns that will shape the future of Scotland's national collection and leave a lasting legacy for generations to come.
At National Galleries of Scotland, you'll help secure the future of one of the world's great art collections, cared for on behalf of the nation. You'll raise transformational philanthropic support for projects that preserve Scotland's national collection, expand public access and create lasting cultural impact.
We're looking for a strategic and relationship-focused fundraiser with experience leading complex, high-value fundraising campaigns. You'll be equally confident working with major donors, senior colleagues, Trustees and volunteer leaders. You'll combine excellent judgement with strong planning skills, bringing together people, resources and fundraising strategy to deliver ambitious campaign goals.
While initially focused on The Art Works, you will have a longer-term remit to help shape future capital fundraising priorities that emerge from our strategic ambitions. You’ll personally progress high-value donor relationships while ensuring fundraising campaigns are strategically structured, insight-led, appropriately resourced and effectively delivered.
You'll help broaden our philanthropic reach by expanding a strong and diverse prospect base across local, national and international audiences. This includes developing approaches to high-value and discreet funders and making the best use of senior volunteers and networks.
The scale of the role is exceptional. You'll work on nationally significant projects with a compelling case for support. You'll enjoy flexible and hybrid working, generous benefits and the chance to make a lasting impact throughout your career.
The difference you’ll make
Reporting to the Head of Development, you will:
- Provide excellent strategic management of capital fundraising campaigns across the organisation, with an immediate focus on The Art Works as well as responsibility for supporting the planning and delivery of future campaigns, including the Mound Level Galleries redevelopment and other major capital priorities.
- Contribute to the development of long-term capital fundraising strategies, campaign plans and prospect pipelines to support future organisational priorities beyond The Art Works, ensuring continuity of donor engagement and campaign readiness.
- Translate campaign strategy, timelines and gift table requirements into clear delivery plans and actions across teams.
- Monitor progress toward income and activity targets, identify variances early and recommend tactical adjustments based on internal insight and external conditions.
- Lead the development and maintenance of campaign reporting, including dashboards, risk logs, income phasing and governance papers.
- Engage directly with major donors, trusts and foundations to cultivate, solicit and steward high-value gifts, working with senior colleagues, Trustees and Campaign Board members as appropriate to maximise outcomes.
- Oversee and direct cultivation and stewardship activity across the capital campaigns team, ensuring delivery of agreed fundraising strategies and a structured and strategic approach to progressing prospects and delivering income targets, while working closely with the wider Development team to ensure a coordinated and consistent approach to donor engagement.
- Expand the philanthropic prospect base by identifying new opportunities and supporting approaches to high‑value or discreet funders.
- Oversee the preparation of high‑quality briefings, materials and follow‑up for senior‑level donor meetings and solicitations.
- Coordinate all donor hospitality activity for the campaign, liaising with colleagues across the Development team and other teams as required, including events, briefings, site visits and other cultivation opportunities.
- Lead the implementation of donor recognition and stewardship frameworks, ensuring consistent, high‑quality supporter experiences.
- Ensure operational readiness for the public phase of the campaign, coordinating colleagues across Development, Communications and Visitor Experience to create effective giving pathways and engagement opportunities.
- Provide day‑to‑day direction to the Development Manager – Capital Campaigns; the Campaigns Coordinator and other team members (to be brought in on a temporary basis as required at key campaign stages) to support high standards of documentation, planning and internal communication.
- Promote collaborative, inclusive working practices across the team and wider organisation.
Who we are looking for
To succeed in this role, you’ll need the following range of knowledge, skills, and experience:
- Significant leadership experience in capital or multi‑year fundraising campaigns with £multi-million targets.
- Experience of developing and sustaining a portfolio of high net worth prospects at 5, 6 and 7-figure levels including discreet and invite-only funders.
- Experience modelling and managing fundraising cash flow, campaign pacing and income phasing across multiple fundraising priorities, ensuring alignment with organisational and project delivery requirements.
- Ability to expand donor networks at local, national, and international level.
- Strong presentation and writing skills, with the ability to influence, articulate complex ideas and inspire support.
- Experience planning and delivering high‑quality cultivation events and donor engagements.
- Strong understanding of fundraising sector trends, major donor behaviour and the philanthropic landscape.
- Experience working closely with senior stakeholders, including Directors, Trustees, volunteer fundraising campaign board members and other high‑level advocates.
- Strong knowledge of UK charitable giving and tax considerations relevant to fundraising.
- Highly motivated, with the ability to act on initiative while exercising good judgement about when to involve others.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills, with confidence interpreting financial, pipeline and performance data.
- Experience using CRM/database systems such as Spektrix or similar.
It would also be great if you have
- Experience of fundraising for multiple capital projects and transitioning donor relationships between successive major campaigns. Knowledge of the arts, culture, heritage, community engagement or education sectors.

Health & Wellbeing Lead - Love Barton
Are you a Christian leader passionate about supporting adults to thrive in the face of challenging circumstances?
At Love Barton, our mission is simple: to see people and families in Barton flourish, whatever their circumstances. Together, we're working towards fewer people facing food insecurity and poor mental health, young people with the self-esteem to make good decisions, and parents and carers with the confidence to see their children thrive.
What we do - and why it's great to work here
Barton is a council estate on the outskirts of Oxford with a tough reputation, but we see something different: a community brimming with talent, kindness and resilience. As a Christian charity established in 2022, we work in close partnership with Barton Community Church to tackle the deep-rooted obstacles - poverty, family breakdown, poor mental health, low self-esteem - that stop people here reaching their potential.
We already run a listening service, a twice-weekly emergency foodbank, and a family food pantry, supporting hundreds of adults and children each year. We're a small, close-knit team, and every person who joins us gets to see the direct impact of their work on real lives in the community.
The role and its impact
As Health & Wellbeing Lead, you'll head up an exciting set of projects on the Barton estate - leading volunteers and managing programmes that meet the health and wellbeing needs of the local community. You'll manage and grow our existing services, and work with the Charity Director to spot new opportunities and support fundraising.
Key details
- Position: Health & Wellbeing Lead
- Reporting to: Charity Director
- Location: Barton, Headington, Oxford (OX3)
- Hours: 18 hours a week (2.5 days, ideally Monday–Wednesday)
- Salary: £28,000 pro rata
- Contract: One-year fixed term, with potential to extend
- Start date: September 2026 (a later date may be agreed for the right person)
- Closing date: Wednesday 12th August, 12pm
- Interviews: Week commencing 17th August
What you'll be working on
- Hear4You listening service — recruit, train and support volunteer listeners, and develop the referral system (from GP and self-referrals) so more people can be supported. You'll also help grow our new Hear4You creative coffee morning for adults facing loneliness, family challenges or poor mental health.
- Emergency Foodbank — recruit, train and support the volunteer team running our twice-weekly sessions with Community Emergency Foodbank, ensuring everything runs safely and to Food Hygiene Standards.
- Family Food Pantry — in partnership with Mercy In Action, recruit, train and support volunteers to keep our weekly food pantry running smoothly for local families on low incomes.
- You'll also network with other providers and stakeholders, represent Love Barton at Health & Wellbeing partnership meetings, offer pastoral care and support to those experiencing hardship, help deliver seasonal projects like Christmas hampers and school holiday activities, manage project budgets and reporting, and work with the Charity Director and trustees on funding.
This job is for you if...
- you're a committed Christian, passionate about alleviating poverty and seeing people thrive
- you're a leader who can inspire and motivate others, but you're also a team player
- you're compassionate and empathetic, with a genuine understanding of the needs of a disadvantaged community
- you build authentic relationships easily - with community members, funders and service providers alike
- you communicate well with people of all ages and backgrounds
- you have experience managing people, particularly volunteers
- you have experience in one or more of: mental health support, family support, community work, or pastoral care
- you're organised, self-motivated and manage your time well
- you're committed to your own self-care and ongoing personal development
Essential: there is a genuine occupational requirement for this post to be filled by a practising Christian. You'll also need the right to work in the UK, and the post requires an enhanced DBS check.
