The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) is seeking an experienced and influential Policy and Public Affairs Manager to lead our work in Northern Ireland. This is an exciting opportunity to shape policy, influence decision-makers, and ensure the voices of paediatricians and child health professionals are heard at the highest levels.

Reporting to the Associate Director of Policy and External Affairs / Head of Policy and Public Affairs (Devolved Nations), you will lead the College’s policy and public affairs activity in Northern Ireland. You will develop and communicate policy positions that reflect the national context, engage senior stakeholders across government and the health sector, and maximise the College’s influence to improve child health outcomes.

You will work closely with colleagues across the UK to ensure our four-nation advocacy is aligned, while remaining responsive to the specific needs of our members in Northern Ireland. You will also line manage a Policy and Public Affairs Officer, supporting their development and overseeing external-facing outputs.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the development of policy positions and public affairs outputs specific to Northern Ireland
• Engaging with Ministers, MLAs, government officials, statutory services, and third sector stakeholders to influence policy and practice
• Producing and overseeing consultation responses and policy briefings
• Acting as a source of expertise on the Northern Ireland political and health landscape
• Supporting College Officers with high-level stakeholder engagement through briefings and policy advice
• Drafting media content including quotes, press releases and opinion pieces in collaboration with communications colleagues

Essential skills and experience include:

• A primary degree and/or extensive relevant experience in policy and public affairs or a related field

• Strong understanding of the political and health policy landscape in Northern Ireland

You might be out and about across Cumbria, gathering content at our sites and with project teams, or in the office putting together videos and infographics.

You’ll need a strong understanding of the social media landscape and an ability to select and tailor content for different channels, finding ways to increase supporter engagement and reach diverse audiences. You’ll also be great at explaining your ideas – from the serious to the silly – and getting people involved.

Our ideal candidate is a first-rate copywriter with confident photography and videography skills. You’ll need to have experience with video editing and graphic design tools, and plenty of creative energy to keep our content fresh.

You’ll work closely with our Digital Engagement Manager and will have access to a training budget to help improve your skills.

Key responsibilities:

• Planning and creating content for our social media channels, to support the Trust’s objectives and communication strategies.
• Liaising with staff from across the Trust to understand the scope of our work and ensure that project communication requirements are fulfilled.

Immigration Caseworker

We are seeking a motivated Immigration Caseworker to train to IAA Level 2 and provide high quality advice to people experiencing immigration issues.

About the Role

This role has been created as part of a funded project to train two Immigration Caseworkers to IAA Level 2 and expand local immigration advice provision. Immigration advice is regulated and highly complex, so you will follow a structured training programme while managing an independent caseload with support from a specialist team.

Key responsibilities include:

• Working towards an agreed IAA qualification level with a personalised training plan
• Keeping accurate training and supervision records in line with regulatory requirements

The National PR Lead will be responsible for the successful delivery of Public Relations and Media strategies to support a designated portfolio of work. You will play a vital role in leading priority PR workstreams. Your expertise will ensure we use the most effective PR tactics to meet team and organisational goals. You will also leave your impact on major policy campaigns, including high-profile initiatives such as Dying in Poverty and Fix End of Life Care.

You will be responsible for: 

• Delivering PR and media strategies for specific portfolios, leading priority workstreams, and ensuring effective tactics to meet campaign and organisational goals.
• Leading PR strategy development, execution, and evaluation to increase brand recognition and media reach; managing campaign objectives and sharing insights for continuous improvement.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and methodical Facilities Management Operations Analyst (CAFM & Ops) known internally as CAFM and Ops Performance Analyst, to join us here at the Francis Crick Institute.

This role will be a key part of the facilities team whose objective is to ensure that scientific research does not get disrupted due to building operational matters.

You will play a key role overseeing asset management and maintenance scheduling through our CAFM system (Planon), keeping operations efficient and uninterrupted.

You’ll use the CAFM system to monitor performance, produce KPI dashboards, and drive process improvements and system upgrades.

This is a pivotal role where your work will safeguard and strengthen the environment that enables ground breaking discoveries.

What you will be doing

At the Crick, you will:

• Be an operational owner and system administrator for the Crick’s CAFM system (Planon)
• Provide Management information to Department Heads and Service Leads, extract and manipulate data from the building systems, develop and build reports in line with user bespoke requirements using available IT tools. Develop and measure KPIs across building services functions, create dashboards to enable clear communication and monitoring of performance trends, ensuring relevant statutory and regulatory compliance is captured.
• Maintain the Planon system to ensure the Crick CAFM system remains at optimal performance and is fully supported.
• Identify, develop and manage continual improvements (including system version upgrades) to the CAFM system
• Support site audits of building and science equipment to ensure all recorded asset data is current and accurate.

About you

You will have:

• Experience of interrogating and reporting with CAFM systems and other Facilities related software packages*
• Experience in Power BI development, including data modelling, DAX, and creating and maintaining live dashboards with automated refresh using DirectQuery or live connections*
• Experience of developing, building and presenting management reports and supporting dashboards*
• Operational experience in managing / reporting on maintenance performance KPI’s/SLAs*

About the role

Home-based role within the relevant region (subject to meeting homeworking assessment requirements, including a minimum broadband speed of 18Mbps and a dedicated space to work from).

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced communication professional to join our successful Campaigns and Regional Engagement team.

In this role, you will help raise the profile of physiotherapy across your appointed regions/countries and support CSP’s work to influence key local and regional stakeholders. Through the development of effective, targeted communications, you will engage and inspire Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) members to promote the value of physiotherapy within their communities.

A key aspect of the role is building strong relationships with CSP members and especially with our member-led regional networks and country boards, which will involve frequent in-person engagement and travel. You will also contribute significantly to CSP-wide campaigns and events, working collaboratively with colleagues as part of regional and country CSP staff teams.

About you

You will have first-class communication skills, be confident, self-motivated and able to work effectively across team boundaries. Educated to degree level, or equivalent, you will bring expertise in at least one, and ideally several, of the following areas: Stakeholder engagement; media and PR; digital communications; public affairs; writing for publications; event management.

You will be comfortable managing a varied workload, working independently while remaining closely connected to a geographically dispersed team, and travelling regularly to support member engagement across your region.

About the role

As Programme Manager, you’ll lead a portfolio of dynamic, purpose driven projects from early design through to delivery and evaluation. The Role

This role is about ownership, resilience and impact. You will manage a portfolio of customer accounts, working proactively to reduce arrears, prevent bad debt and support residents to sustain their tenancies.
