As our reputation and client base continue to grow, we’re seeking a Social Media Operations Officer to support the day-to-day delivery and ongoing development of our Social Media Moderation service.
Role overview
This role will play a vital part in ensuring our charity partners receive a high-quality, insight-led service while providing additional support to our team of moderators and Team Leaders.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Social Media Moderation Manager and wider leadership team to support operational delivery, reporting, onboarding, quality assurance, and administrative processes across our portfolio of charity accounts.
The role would suit an organised, proactive individual with strong attention to detail, excellent written communication skills, and a genuine passion for supporting charities and online communities.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting and insights
Produce weekly, fortnightly, monthly, and campaign reports for charity partners.
Collect and analyse moderation data across accounts, including response rates, hidden content, escalations and key themes.
Gather standout comments, community feedback and examples of positive engagement for inclusion within reports.
Support the development of benchmarking documents and trend analysis across accounts.
Prepare meeting notes and action logs following account meetings.
Moderator support
Assist with onboarding new moderators, including arranging inductions and sharing key documentation.
Support the creation and maintenance of moderator handbooks and guidance documents.
Identify recurring learning themes and help coordinate quality assurance and development activity.
Work alongside Team Leaders to ensure they - and moderators - have the information and resources needed to deliver excellent moderation.
Account administration
Support the onboarding of new charity partners, including helping to create and maintain moderation packs.
Keep account guidance documents, FAQs, escalation processes, and key contact information up to date.
Assist with meeting preparation, minute-taking and action tracking.
Ownership of rota administration and maintain awareness of moderator availability.
Coordinate internal documentation and process improvements.
Service development
Contribute ideas to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Social Media Moderation service.
Support the creation of internal resources, templates and standard operating procedures.
Assist with projects aimed at enhancing moderator wellbeing, training, and development.
Shadow account management activities with opportunities for future progression within the agency.

Shaftesbury is happy to consider fundraisers or officer level candidates looking to step up into their first manager level role. At present this role doesn’t line manage, so management experience is not necessary. About the Role
As Funding and Compliance Officer, you will play a key role in managing the full assessment lifecycle, from answering applicants' queries and presenting at funding webinars, to assessing applications through to completion. This is a high-impact senior role at the heart of the organisation, combining hands-on delivery with trusted advice. You’ll work closely with the Board and executive team to ensure decision-making is clear, accountable and aligned with Charity Commission guidance and best practice.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you’ll lead on coordinating governance activity, enhancing Board and committee effectiveness, and driving continuous improvement. You’ll oversee the annual governance cycle, support trustee development, and champion inclusive, well-informed decision-making that enables our leadership to thrive.
Requirements:
Significant experience in charity governance, company secretariat or a comparable senior governance role
Strong understanding of charity law, trustee responsibilities and good governance practice
Experience supporting Boards and committees, including planning, papers and effectiveness reviews
Demonstrable experience improving governance frameworks, processes or systems
Confidence advising senior stakeholders with discretion, diplomacy and authority
Experience working collaboratively across executive teams to embed effective governance practices
Clear, credible communicator, both written and verbal
Highly organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
Practical and solutions‑focused, with a bias for action
Calm, measured and trusted, with strong professional judgement

Join the MS Society as our new Senior Individual Giving Manager (Development).
We’re looking for a motivated, organised and creative Senior Individual Giving Manager to lead our ambitious, supportive development team at the MS Society for a 12-month fixed term maternity leave cover.
You’ll be responsible for the strategic planning and oversee the delivery of multi-channel fundraising campaigns and supporter engagement projects ensuring they are delivered to time, income targets and expenditure budgets. You’ll have space to be creative, freedom to test new ideas, and the chance to shape the future of our development programme.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience working in Individual Giving roles. You’ll have a proven track record of managing successful direct marketing campaigns from start to finish. You’ll analyse results, test new ideas, and find ways to improve future campaigns.
With great interpersonal skills, you’ll manage a high-performing team, work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to deliver high-quality campaigns and build relationships with supporters. With a creative and enthusiastic approach, you’ll take ownership of your work, shape our individual giving programme, and make a real difference to people living with MS.
