You will be responding to helpline calls, which can cover wide-ranging and multifaceted issues. You will be using helpline skills to listen to callers’ concerns and draw on your expertise to provide tailored guidance to service users. You will need to ensure that you follow helpline safeguarding and data protection procedures and accurately record information into our Parents Helpline database. And, above all, you will have a strong passion for helping parents and carers to support themselves and their child in the best way they can.

Please note that our Helpline currently works within a hybrid model, with members of the team coming into the office 1-2 days per week. Our position concerning working arrangements may change in the future. 

The part time position will consist of 28 hours (4 days per week), with core working days being Monday, Wednesday and Fridays. 

In this role you will be required to work one evening shift per week until 6.45pm or 8.45pm, depending on the operational requirements of the service.

We are considering piloting extended helpline opening hours later in the evening and/or at the weekend in the future, so this role will require occasional out-of-hour work.

About the Role

This role sits within the Academic Development & Standards Team and provides administrative support for the College’s education development work. The post holder will help with the day-to-day coordination and delivery of activity across CPD, Joint Speciality Fellowships (JSF), accreditation, educational consultancy, webinars, management of educational platforms (iLearn), SERI Lab.

The role is varied and will involve maintaining records, responding to enquiries, issuing certificates, arranging meetings, supporting webinars, collating evaluation data, booking travel and helping with finance administration. This will include support with draft invoices, payment management, credit card reconciliation and debtors’ information where required.

The post holder will work closely with colleagues across the Education Development, JSF, and eLearning teams, as well as with members, customers, faculty, reviewers and other external contacts. The role requires someone who is organised, accurate and able to manage a busy workload, particularly where tasks are time critical.

There may be a requirement to work outside normal working hours on occasion, particularly to support webinar delivery or other education activity. Occasional travel may also be required.

Experience/Qualifications/Key Skills

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is organised, methodical and confident in providing administrative support in a busy team environment.

The successful candidate will have a good standard of education, including GCSE English at Grade C or above, or equivalent experience. They will have proven administrative and organisational skills, experience of working with databases, and the ability to maintain accurate records.

A strong academic skill set is important for this role. The successful candidate should be confident working with written information, taking accurate minutes, drafting clear documents, collating evaluation data and supporting academic and educational processes. They should be able to review information carefully, identify key points and present written work to a high standard.

Strong communication and customer service skills are also essential, as the role involves working with a range of colleagues, members, customers, faculty, reviewers and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will be confident using Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and will be able to prioritise their workload with minimum supervision.

The role would suit someone who takes a proactive approach, uses their initiative and is confident working independently with minimal guidance. They should have:

· Good attention to detail.

· A professional manner and a flexible approach to work.

· Experience of supporting meetings, preparing papers or reports, and working within an academic, educational or healthcare environment would be valuable.

The role in a nutshell 

The Finance Director leads the Finance Team and is responsible for HOST’s financial management, ensuring strong compliance with policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.

The Finance Director is part of the HOST Leadership Team and would have line management responsibility for three Finance Managers within the Finance team. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Oversee HOST’s financial management, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures and relevant regulatory requirements. 

• Develop and monitor budgets for both HOST operations and hosted projects. 

• Provide regular financial reporting to the Leadership Team and Board. 

• Lead efforts to improve financial systems, controls and workflows. 

• Ensure robust financial oversight of hosted projects and HOST’s internal systems. 

• Contribute as an integral member of the Leadership Team, bringing financial insight to strategic and operational decision-making. 

• Manage cashflow strategy, including multi-currency considerations.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Part Time Advocacy Support Worker with the delivery of our Community One-to-One Advocacy project.

The Project Worker / Advocacy Assistant will work closely with the Project Manager to deliver a high-quality, person-centred Community One-to-One Advocacy service across the Royal Borough of Greenwich. Supporting the day-to-day delivery of the project, the postholder will help ensure that project objectives, outcomes, and timescales are achieved in line with organisational policies and funder requirements.

The postholder will work directly with individuals with learning disabilities, autistic people, and other vulnerable adults to help them understand their rights, access services, overcome barriers, and improve their independence and wellbeing. Hillside Clubhouse is recruiting an IPS Employment Specialist to join our dynamic Islington team, supporting people with mental health conditions to gain and retain employment.  The IPS Employment Specialists within the Islington IPS Service work within the nationally recognised IPS (Individual Placement and Support) model within NHS secondary and primary care mental health teams, based in the heart of Islington.

Who We Are: 

Hillside Clubhouse is a co-produced mental health employment support charity working across Islington. We support people with mental health conditions into training, volunteering, and employment opportunities. People can access our services via our Clubhouse, where they can share their skills and expertise with others and support the running of the charity.  Alternatively, they can receive support out in the community from one of our Employment Specialists based within NHS mental health teams.

The Role: 

We are recruiting for one IPS Employment Specialist role within our Islington IPS Service. This position will be based within the North London NHS Foundation Trust mental health services in the borough of Islington.

As an IPS Employment Specialist, you’ll play an important role in supporting people with lived mental health experience on their recovery journey by supporting them back into paid employment. This is an opportunity to offer ongoing support, to motivate and provide people with hope, while developing the tools and skills required to recover – ultimately transforming their lives.

A variety of skills are needed in this post including but not limited to: a strong ability to develop empathy and rapport with clients; a determined approach to seeking out job opportunities; a person centric-approach to working with people; strong communications skills to motivate clients; strong administrative capabilities and an attention to detail engage with prospective employers via business development and face-to-face meetings, as well as to be able to challenge some perceptions around mental health.

The role is dynamic and involves being integrated in a clinical team, working within the community, and we operate a flexible working policy where working from home is also permitted up to two days per week.

This ranges from making the case to increase investment in dementia research, embedding the concept of brain health with key decision makers, supporting new ways to diagnose the diseases that cause dementia, through to preparing health systems to be ready for future dementia treatments.

About the role: 

This role involves providing information, support and advice, particularly around welfare benefits, housing and learning disabilities, to Carers through one-to-one appointments, case work, and group facilitation.

• Providing advice and advocacy on welfare benefits and housing. Minimum of 3 days a week.

• Providing information, support and advocacy to Carers of people with Learning Disabilities. 

• Facilitation of the Learning Disability Carers Peer Support Group.

This is a hands-on role that includes the practical delivery of events. You’ll be involved in setting up and packing down, transporting equipment, and supporting on-site logistics. This can include lifting and moving equipment, putting up gazebos and stands, and driving the event van.

About KLS’ Future Foundations education team 

Future Foundations is an education programme of Katherine Low Settlement. Since 2004, KLS’ Future Foundations education team of 10 part-time staff and over 100 volunteers, have supported young refugees and their families in Battersea and the London Borough of Wandsworth to thrive in their education. Through mentoring, family support, casework and homework clubs, we provide the tailored support each young person and their family (if they have one) needs to overcome the barriers to education they face at home and school. 

Key Objectives for this Role 

Working closely with the Lead Youth Worker and Youth Worker you will help create safe, engaging and inclusive opportunities for children and young people to learn, build confidence and develop positive relationships. 

Homework Clubs 

• Support the running and planning of two weekly homework clubs for children age 5 - 14.

• Contribute to the development of engaging session plans and learning activities. 

• Research and source resources and materials to support activities and learning.

• Support to plan and run engaging and fun activities/ongoing projects for children attending the clubs.

• Use participatory approaches to ensure young people help shape activities and programme development.

• Encourage children and young people to take ownership of activities and contribute to decision-making within the clubs Implement our behaviour management policy and work from a trauma informed perspective. 

• Support the registration and onboarding of new participants, ensuring records and consent information are accurate and up to date Liaise with families/carers when necessary. 

• Maintain accurate records, registers, case studies, feedback, photographs and other monitoring information in line with organisational requirements and funding obligations.

• Maintain excellent safeguarding practices. 

• Support the wider Future Foundations team to identify support needs and make referrals to appropriate external services and partner organisations.

• Provide cover for youth, mentoring and homework club sessions when required.

Trips and activities  

• Support the planning and delivery of an annual programme of educational, recreational and enrichment activities, including trips during school holidays.

• Ensure that this is done in collaboration with children, young people, their families and other KLS projects.

Do you enjoy bringing people together? Are you organised and friendly? Chinnor Village Centre is looking for a proactive, caring person to support the clubs and community groups. From timetables to room setups, from welcoming participants to sharing what we do across our community and local organisations, you’ll help create a vibrant, inclusive programme of activities designed to bring older people together and end social isolation. 

We are a small, friendly team of Trustees and staff, committed to making the Centre the hub of community life. Ideally you will have experience relevant to the post but the right qualities to provide a caring, inclusive environment are most important. 

The postholder will work 2 days a week, on Tuesday and Wednesday. There may be an option to increase to Thursdays in the future. Additional benefits include 25 days holiday per year pro rata and a pension scheme. Training relevant to the post will be provided.
