Role Overview

Reporting to the Trusts Manager, the postholder will be responsible for maximizing income from Charitable Trusts and Foundations, building and nurturing elationships and inspiring long-term support and sustainable income in line with the organisational strategy.

Our Location

We are based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, so we are easily accessible by road and rail. Main Purpose

The Head of Research: Evaluation and Qualitative Methods is a new post for L&W – as we seek to deepen our capability and expand our capacity.

The post-holder will direct research projects across all of our areas of work, providing specific leadership and expertise in programme and system-level evaluations, and projects mobilising innovative or advanced qualitative methods (such as system mapping, co-design methods, ethnographic methods, creative methods and/or theory-based/realist evaluation).

What you'll do:
- Lead and motivate your team to ensure the championing of and maintenance of a positive local culture within your service
- Deliver effective supervision and team meetings with staff and ensure that information, reporting and communication
- Responsible for the personal development of staff, identifying high performers and feeding into the organisations succession plans
- Ensure that Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) required as part of the Contract are met and recorded correctly
- Develop key business relationships with all appropriate relevant customers/external parties to ensure service delivery excellence and maximise new business opportunities in own patch

Corporate Partnerships Manager

City Year UK is seeking an experienced and motivated Corporate Partnerships Manager to drive new business and nurture existing corporate relationships.

Join a youth and education charity which empowers diverse 18 to 25-year-olds to tackle educational inequality through a year of full-time volunteering in schools. As mentors, tutors and role models in schools, our volunteers support children who are furthest away from opportunity in the UK.

Position: Corporate Partnerships Manager (internally known as Development Manager)

Location: Remote (with travel to London)

Hours: Part-time, 4 days per week (28 hours per week)

Salary: £40,000 pro rata (£32,000 for 80% part-time role)

Duration: Permanent

The Role

This role is central to building a strong, sustainable income pipeline and increasing support for our programmes.

You will:

· Identify, cultivate, and secure new corporate partnerships to grow income and impact.

· Manage and develop a portfolio of corporate accounts, strengthening relationships and maximising financial and in-kind support.

· Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to develop and implement a strategic fundraising approach that increases income, improves renewal rates, and generates a robust pipeline of new partners.

· Represent City Year UK at external events, meetings, and conferences to promote our mission and build partnerships.

· Contribute to research, proposal development, and cross-team projects to support organisational objectives.

Main areas of responsibility include new business development, account management and external engagement and profile raising.

About You

We are looking for someone with experience in corporate account management and business development.

You will also have experience of:

· Securing new corporate partnerships and managing existing accounts.

· Working with senior stakeholders, including trustees, CEOs, or senior executives.

· Preparing and delivering compelling proposals, presentations, and reports.

· Managing a portfolio of corporate partners to maximise financial and in-kind support.

· Using CRM or fundraising databases like Salesforce to manage pipelines, record interactions, and report on partnership progress.

As the Head of Governance, you will work closely with the Director of Governance & Purpose (Company Secretary) to support the Chair of the Board of Trustees and the Chairs of committees with advice and support on standards of good governance, and compliance - particularly around or SDI status. 

Reporting to the Director of Governance and Purpose, the successful candidate will also ensure ongoing monitoring of governance effectiveness and continuous improvement, and the efficient and effective administration of governance process, including trustee and committee member recruitment and onboarding, tracking appointment terms, and annual skills audits. Along with other members of the corporate governance team, you will support the Board of Trustees and its committees, including the creation and retention of proper meeting records, and the appropriate support, training and development of Trustees and senior volunteers serving on committees of the Board. 

Together with the team, you will also provide support to ad hoc working groups and volunteer committees that may arise from time to time to provide important local insight and input to governance decision-making.
