We are looking for enthusiastic and talented individuals to join us as Energy Advisors to help deliver the vital Home Energy Scotland advice service in the Highlands and Islands. You’ll be the first point of call for householders who need free and impartial advice about how they can lower their bills and reduce their environmental impact. You will have experience engaging with customers and your excellent communication skills will help you support householders and relay technical information to a non-technical audience.

Home Energy Scotland is a free, impartial advice service funded by the Scottish Government and managed by the Energy Saving Trust. Changeworks has been involved in delivering the service for 17 years, and currently manages advice centres in the Highlands and Islands and South East of Scotland.

We provide high quality advice and information on topics including energy efficiency in the home, renewable technologies and saving water. We also support many people who are living in fuel poverty and refer householders to grants and funding to keep their homes warmer for less. The ideal candidate and the role​

We're looking for someone who is passionate about helping people and confident communicating with a wide range of customers. As an Energy Advisor, you'll provide high-quality, personalised advice that helps customers understand their options, take action and make positive changes to their energy use.​

You will join a supportive team of customer-focused advisors in a fast-paced environment. The role involves handling inbound enquiries and making outbound calls to existing customers. An interest in energy, sustainability or the environment would be an advantage, but it isn't essential as full training will be provided. You will require good IT skills and have a stable internet connection.​

As the Home Energy Scotland Highlands & Islands Advice Centre, we support customers across Argyll & Bute, Highland, Na h-Eileanan Siar (Western Isles), Orkney and Shetland. To be eligible for this role, you must live within one of these local authority areas.

The Energy Advisor induction programme includes working towards the City and Guilds Energy Awareness in the Home qualification. Dramatherapy is a form of psychological therapy that uses drama and theatre processes to support people in exploring emotions, developing insight, and promoting personal growth. It is a creative, evidence-based approach used in a wide range of clinical, educational, and community settings. 

Purpose of the Post: 

This role provides the administrative foundation of the organisation, ensuring its day-to-day operations run smoothly, efficiently and reliably. The Administrator is the central point through which systems, information and processes are held and maintained. 

The postholder is responsible for coordinating membership administration and core systems. They ensure accurate record-keeping, support financial and governance processes, and coordinate the practical delivery of organisational activity. 

Through consistent, attentive administration, this role enables the wider organisation to function effectively. It supports a coherent, responsive service that members can trust and rely on, making an important contribution to the stability, professionalism and effective operation of the Association and, in turn, the wider field of dramatherapy. 

Working Hours & Location 

This is a part-time role (22.5 hours per week) and is home-based.

The postholder will have flexibility in how their contracted hours are worked across the week, subject to the operational needs of the Association. At least 15 hours will need to be worked during normal business hours to attend team meetings, respond to member enquiries, and fulfil key organisational responsibilities. Working arrangements will be agreed with the line manager and reviewed as required in supervision. 

The postholder will also be required to attend the Directors' Meeting, which takes place once a month, either on a Saturday morning or on a weekday evening. Attendance at these meetings forms part of the contracted hours for this role. 

There may also be occasional requirements to attend other meetings or events, such as the annual conference or team away days, which may fall outside the postholder's usual working pattern. Where additional hours are worked to attend such events, time off in lieu (TOIL) will be offered within the following two weeks. 

Job Description: 

Membership Administration & Data Management 

• Database Management: Maintain organisational records and information, ensuring they are accurate, up to date and complete to the best of the Association's knowledge and strictly comply with UK GDPR and data protection regulations. 

• Member Pipeline: Process new member applications, renewals, category switches and lapses smoothly. 

• Onboarding: Support new member onboarding by issuing welcome packs and ensuring seamless access to systems and benefits. 

• Offboarding: Where members do not renew, update the database, send a feedback form, and track reasons for departure. 

• Reporting: Maintain systems for tracking membership data and produce regular statistical reports for management. 

• Policy: Support the implementation and development of organisational policies and procedures in collaboration with directors and committees. 

Financial 

• Financial Tracking: Work with the bookkeeper to ensure financial records on Xero are complete. 

• Invoicing: Work with the bookkeeper in to set up and release payments once approved by the company director. Send invoices and invoice reminders where membership fees have not been correctly paid. 

• Staff Annual Leave Tracking: Manage and track staff annual leave records. 

Member Enquiries & Customer Service 

• Inbox Management: Act as the first point of contact for the organisation, managing the central inbox and handling routine membership queries with clear, timely responses. 

• Signposting: Direct complex or specific enquiries to the relevant resources, directors or volunteer committees. 

• Feedback Collection: Gather and analyse member feedback (both impromptu and via structured surveys) to help improve services and satisfaction. 

Core Communications & Digital Channels 

• Website & Infrastructure Maintenance: Maintain and update website content via the admin backend (updating committee member profiles, helping members with login issues, and updating job listings). Ensure core plugins and page layouts are regularly updated to their latest versions. Troubleshoot and fix any automated background tasks or form workflows that are not functioning as expected, and proactively source appropriate external IT or web developer expertise when a complex technical fix is required. 

• Social Media: Manage member applications to the members-only Facebook group, including tracking usernames to remove lapsed members. 

• Newsletters & Email: Add any administrative or membership-related updates to the monthly newsletter and proofread final copy before sending. 

• Cyber Security Incident Response: Act as an initial administrative responder if a cyber security incident is suspected, following the organisation’s cyber incident response playbook. This includes knowing how to force log out affected users, revoke active sessions where possible, reset passwords, reset or rotate other access credentials where required, preserve relevant records, and escalate promptly to the allocated line manager and board of directors. Credentials may include passwords, security codes, access tokens, API keys, recovery codes, or other information that proves a person or system is authorised to access an account. 

Committee & Volunteer Support 

• Committee Administration Support: Provide administrative support to volunteer committees, including maintaining committee webpages, distributing communications, adding meetings to committees’ Teams calendars where requested, updating records, and supporting agreed administrative processes. 

• Volunteer Admin: Assist with the administrative onboarding and retention processes for volunteers, ensuring they have the guidance and resources needed. 

• Internal Communication: Facilitate effective and GDPR-compliant information sharing between different branches of the professional body. 

• Annual Governance Minute-Taking: Assist with taking minutes once a year, specifically for the organisation’s General Meeting (AGM/GM). 

• Annual Report Formatting: Support the preparation of the organisation’s annual report by formatting supplied content into a clear, consistent and accessible document, ensuring headings, images, tables, captions, branding, layout and proofreading corrections are applied accurately before review and publication.

• Financial Health & Transactional Accuracy: Invoices, renewal notices, and approved payments are processed accurately and strictly on schedule to maintain healthy organizational cash flow. Financial records in Xero and internal staff leave logs are kept consistently up to date, ensuring the bookkeeper and directors have reliable financial data. 

• Service Excellence & Responsiveness: Members, committees and external enquirers experience a seamless, professional, and timely customer service journey, characterized by steady frequent inbox management and the elimination of communication backlogs.

The Role:

We have an exciting 12-month fixed-term opportunity for an experienced Volunteer Coordinator to join FARA Foundation at this pivotal time. This critical new role for the organisation will play a key role in the development and growth of volunteering across all areas of the organisation with special emphasis on the retail arm.

We are looking for someone who has previous experience working as a Volunteer Coordinator in a Charity Retail environment who is keen to use their experience and develop their skills and expertise further in this important role. This post will need to work closely with the Chief Operating Officer, Trading Director, Retail Area Managers and shop managers to ensure that they operate to a high standard and in an effective and efficient manner.

This role requires a clear and confident manner, excellent written and spoken communication skills and the successful applicant will need to demonstrate good skills in writing and digital literacy. This role is expected to be physically present in shops, with travel across London between shops expected in each working week.

The Candidate:

• You will have great interpersonal skills and be willing to develop effective working relationships with all management, shop, support staff and volunteers.
• You will have a desire to make things run effectively and smoothly they will be able to plan and organise their work while having a high degree of motivation and good time management.

You’ll be responsible for fundraising and delivering a plan to raise funds from a variety of sources - including trusts and foundations, digital fundraising and individual giving. We expect that trusts and foundations funding will form a large part of this role and this includes securing larger and multi year grants.

Income generation

• Develop and implement a fundraising strategy to raise funds from a variety of sources(trusts and foundations,companies, individuals, digital fundraising, the community and events).

Lead the strategic and financial development and oversight of CBM UK’s international programme portfolio, ensuring the organisation delivers its programme strategy with maximum impact and effectiveness in alignment with CBM Global’s strategy. Support and line manage the team to translate strategic priorities into actionable plans to ensure excellence in programme funding, development and delivery.
2. Drive quality and effectiveness within CBM UK projects and across CBM Global by
a) ensuring effective coordination of tasks, forward planning of key activities and events, and providing space for collaboration, problem-solving, escalation and innovation across the portfolio.
b) identifying and improving policies and procedures that ensure proportional programmatic oversight and support complex institutional funding management.
c) supporting Programmes staff to work with country teams to pursue a localised approach to programming, drawing on the CBM Global localisation roadmap.
3. Work with Programme Funding colleagues to lead and oversee the development of strategic partnerships and packaging of programme approaches that secure institutional funding for CBM UK’s programmes, including by strengthening intelligence on donor trends and funder priorities, developing immediate responses to new opportunities as they arise in line with CBM UK’s mission.
4. Work closely with CBM UK finance, fundraising, communication teams and other CBM Global Members in creating and responding to opportunities for funding, driving growth, and promoting effective use of CBM UK’s voluntary income to leverage match funding.

Organisational leadership (20%)
1. Contribute to the overall leadership and strategic direction of CBM UK through the Leadership Team, and in collaboration with the CEO, including contributing to Board meetings.
2. As part of the Leadership Team, take shared leadership responsibility for the wider CBM UK team of staff and volunteers, supporting effective collaboration and organisational cohesion, and taking on cross-functional responsibilities where appropriate.
3. Encourage and promote a culture of ambition, learning and excellence across the CBM UK team.
4. Be responsible for producing and initiating regular reports, briefing papers and other relevant programmes information for the CEO and Board Programmes Committee as appropriate.
5. Lead on supporting the Board Programmes Committee, working closely with the Committee Chair to ensure members are provided with the information necessary to permit strategic oversight and robust risk management.
6. Lead UK’s engagement with CBM Global's programmatic leadership, in particular Directors of Programmes in other CBM Member Teams (Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, Switzerland), CBM Global Secretariat, and Technical Directors, working towards greater alignment, escalation of issues, and collaboration to advance CBM UK’s approach to localisation.

Representation and advocacy (10%)
1. Represent the organisation at the highest levels, including deputising for the CEO where required. Act as a key spokesperson for CBM UK with a range of external audiences, including institutional and statutory donors and strategic partners, media, policy and decision makers and other international and national non-government organisations. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key geographic stakeholders, including diplomatic representatives, ensuring effective engagement and alignment with CBM UK’s programme priorities.
2. In alignment with Advocacy and with Advisory colleagues, contribute to best practice in the UK disability and development sector by forging good relationships with UK-based and international NGO and disability sector networks to advocate for the adoption of inclusive development policies and practices, and champion innovative inclusive programmatic approaches.

The Advocacy Director holds primary responsibility for delivering ECC’s advocacy strategy internationally and within the UK. This strategy aims to ensure states’ legal obligations on casualty recording are recognised and upheld globally, and that casualty data is used effectively to shape policy responses to conflict.

ECC’s advocacy work is focused primarily within the human rights and humanitarian multilateral fora in Geneva, but also incorporates work with New York-based UN targets within the security field. In parallel, as a UK-based organisation, we seek to influence domestic decision-makers including those within the FCDO, MoD, and parliament.

The Advocacy Director will be ECC's most senior external face after the Executive Director. As a key figure within a small organisation, the Advocacy Director will lead advocacy activity directly, building and stewarding relationships with state delegations, UK parliamentarians, UN officials, and civil society partners. The role requires exceptional political judgment, fluency across both multilateral and Westminster environments, and the credibility to represent ECC at the most senior national and international levels.

JOB PURPOSE

This is a pivotal role within The Passage’s Fundraising Team, created to help support the transformation of our supporter data systems and ensure we become a more data informed, insight driven organisation and fundraising team. You will be the main contact for the fundraising CRM working with the fundraising team and other teams within The Passage such as finance and IT to ensure the smooth running of all systems and processes.

As the dedicated data and CRM Manager for Fundraising and Communications, you will support colleagues with reporting, analysis, campaign set-up and selections, and data strategy. Your work will ensure our data is accurate, accessible, and GDPR-compliant, enabling smarter decision-making, improved supporter journeys, and to help grow income. You will also be working with the Marketing and Communications team to implement email soft opt-in for our supporters. This is a unique opportunity to shape how we use data to engage, retain, and grow our supporter base at a time of exciting change. 

MAIN DUTIES 

1. Fundraising CRM Project Leadership 

• Manage and maintain the current Salesforce system, ensuring it remains functional, accurate, and fit for the purposes of stewarding donors and maintaining accurate records of donations 

• Act as the day-to-day lead for the CRM system within the Fundraising and Communications team, ensuring it meets team needs and supports strategic goals. 

• Document workflows, integrations and processes to ensure the long-term sustainability and usability of the system for vital processes such as donation processing and gift aid 

• Work with IT and the fundraising team to evaluate onboard 3rd party platforms to support fundraising initiatives. Ensure any changes are approved with senior stakeholders and documented.

• Be a custodian of GDPR within the Fundraising team and be the main point of contact with The Passage’s Data protection lead and ensure all policies and procedures are up to date and in line with current fundraising regulations. 

2.CRM and Data Management 

• Work collaboratively with the IT team and procurement team as the fundraising representative to recommend improvements to the current CRM and any other related projects. 

• Maintain and improve the quality of supporter data through regular cleansing, deduplication, and tagging to ensure accuracy and GDPR compliance. 

• Ensure ongoing system performance and data integrity by embedding data hygiene routines and best practices. 

• Work with the Finance team to support integration between the CRM and finance systems for seamless donation and income reporting. 

• Working with data flows and setting up integrations, ensuring the system runs smoothly on an ongoing basis, making updates, troubleshooting issues whilst maintaining data consistency. 

• Work on system migrations and leading on maintaining proper process structures and documentation during those transitions. Keep track of installed packages, security keys, and their passwords and related administrative processes. 

• Be responsible for all data imports from our 3rd party platforms, ensure that data is uploaded in line with regular upload schedule in an accurate manner. 

• Work with the Marketing and Communications team to help implement soft opt-in 

• Manage one database volunteer to complete database tasks. 

3. Data Selections, Segmentation and Campaign Support 

• Collaborate with the Fundraising team to perform targeted data selections for appeals, newsletters, stewardship journeys, and events. 

• Develop and maintain segmentation structures and logic to support personalised supporter journeys and strategic targeting. 

• Work closely with the Marketing and Communications team to provide campaign-ready data for fundraising, advocacy, and engagement activities. 

4. Reporting and Insight 

• Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports that provide real time insight into fundraising performance, donor behaviour and campaign results. 

• Create and deliver regular and ad hoc fundraising analysis to inform strategic decisions and performance tracking. 

• Proactively identify opportunities to improve donor retention, upgrade journeys and lifetime value through data driven insight. 

5. Cyber Security 

• Work closely with the IT team to manage security/GDPR of the Fundraising crm 

• Develop knowledge in this area and undertake training as required. 

6. Other Duties: 

• Provide ad-hoc administrative support to the Fundraising and Communications team. 

• Support and attend fundraising events as required.
