What you’ll be doing:

Leading on all operational aspects of these income streams and inputting into strategy with the Senior Philanthropy & Partnerships Manager, you will have responsibility for growing the Trust’s legacy, mid-level and major donor fundraising.

With support from colleagues across the department and wider Trust, you’ll provide stewardship to a portfolio of mid and high-value relationships, cultivate and secure new donors, and act as a champion for this crucial area of work across the organisation.

You will be an experienced fundraiser with outstanding communication skills and strong technical legacy skills and knowledge, as well as in-depth knowledge and track record of success in growing a major donor programme. You’re a proactive, positive and confident fundraiser with the experience and expertise to take the lead across our legacy and major donor income streams.

We are looking for an experienced Salesforce Administrator to expand capacity and play a key role in the next phase of our organisation-wide Salesforce rollout. Having successfully implemented Salesforce for donor management, we are now expanding the platform to support our international field operations. 

Working as part of our International Salesforce team, you will configure a brand‑new Salesforce NPC platform, integrate it with our existing NPSP donor system, and provide day‑to‑day support to users across 18 countries. You’ll be a Salesforce product champion - triaging support tickets, delivering configuration changes, supporting testing, and helping drive continuous improvement across the organisation.

About you 

You are a certified Salesforce Administrator with strong experience building and configuring Salesforce from scratch. You’re a confident communicator, an excellent problem solver, and comfortable supporting and training users in an international environment. Experience with NPSP and / or NPC is required. In this role, you’ll be working on the In Memory programme within Individual Giving (IG) to inspire people to donate and engage them in a meaningful way, that reflects their unique motivation for supporting the charity. You'll assist with and when required, project manage areas of the In Memory supporter journeys to drive acquisition and retention, ensuring supporters have the best possible experience.

• Assist with and, when required, project manage direct marketing campaigns, both online and offline. 

• Support the Senior IG Officer in creating and delivering successful supporter journeys.

• Manage relationships with creative, print and response handling agencies working on campaigns.

• Support the Senior Individual Giving Officers in achieving strategic objectives, monitoring income and expenditure and using database analysis to inform and improve the individual giving programme (with a focus on the In Mem programme).

• Integrate the direct marketing programme into Fundraising and Experience Directorate activities and support the overall Parkinson’s UK strategic plan.

• Manage the administrative tasks for the Individual Giving team, such as processing invoices, ordering stock and updating key documents and materials both online and offline.

• Proven experience of successfully scheduling and managing campaigns to deliver results against agreed objectives and targets. 

• Excellent copy-writing, creative and proofreading skills for both online and offline materials.

About the role
We are recruiting for a Participant Experience Officer to join on a full-time basis, working 35 hours per week on a fixed-term contract for 12 months. This is a home-based role, with occasional travel required for in-person team meetings and events.

As Participant Experience Officer you will work across the Events team, supporting the strategic planning, development and implementation of our Event participants’ supporter journeys. This includes working on a wide range of activities such as Memory Walk, Trek26 and third party runs and challenges.

In this role you will both advise on and directly implement multi-channel communications journeys, from the point of registration through to event day and beyond. This will include working with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate owned and paid stewardship channels, such as email, mail, social media, SMS and phone.

You will also support the testing and evaluation of stewardship across Events, ensuring continual development of our participant experience and that we are delivering the best possible experience for our participants, leading to continued engagement and lifetime value.

About you
Joining us, you’ll have experience of supporter experience within the not-for-profit sector, and a good understanding of the role of stewardship, with experience of developing and delivering multi-channel supporter journeys. You’ll be a good communicator with the ability to work collaboratively, influence and inform others.

Crucially, you’ll be able to manage a range of complex projects, meet deadlines and use problem-solving to implement solutions. You’ll also be able to interpret complex data and make recommendations based on analysis.

What you’ll focus on:

- Working with the Senior Participant Experience Manager, Participant Experience Manager and other Participant Experience Officers to oversee the supporter experience of all event participants.
- Working collaboratively with other teams, including Event Leads, Omnichannel, Data Analysis, Digital Engagement, Supporter Care and Regional Engagement to develop and maintain the best supporter experience.
- Contributing to the planning and development of event participant and volunteer stewardship journeys and deliver areas of responsibility.
- Leading and advising on the implementation of stewardship communications across a range of channels, including mail, email, SMS, social media and phone.
- Managing relationships with external agencies (including fulfilment houses) to ensure best value and optimum levels of service at all times.
- Developing robust data analysis and testing processes across events stewardship campaigns.
- Analysing the progress and impact of our supporter experiences, providing support to live campaigns and feeding into event evaluations with recommendations.

Main Duties:

Personal Specification:

Technical skills and minimum knowledge:

● Strong administrative experience, highly organised, and able to effectively juggle multiple administrative tasks at the same time!

● Competent in the use of Zoom/Teams and MS Office software. Training will be provided to upskill in the use of Canva, Mailchimp, donor databases and social media (such as LinkedIn and Instagram).

● Excellent written and verbal communication and relationship management skills, you will inspire and motivate existing and prospective supporters, providing excellent stewardship and crafting compelling donor updates, applications and appeals.

As SSAFA’s Audience & Marketing Insights Manager, you will provide central oversight and leadership in fundraising/marketing/communications (FMC) data, acting as the main interface to the Central Data Team (CDT), turning data into tools, frameworks, and insights that improve revenue and engagement performance.

You will be responsible for analysing FMC data to drive improvements to revenue conversion, brand awareness, volunteer recruitment, beneficiary reach metrics via data insights and cooperation with the CDT.

Your role will be critical in supporting our marketing, fundraising, and communications functions by transforming audience and campaign data into action, enabling evidence‑based decision‑making, and shaping strategic planning.  

The campaign insights you provide will guide FMC stakeholders in defining objectives, measuring and driving growth to their KPIs via an excellent ‘applied’ understanding of marketing data, and ensuring all activities are targeted, effective, and continually improving.

Your proven experience of using SEO tools and techniques will help to deliver improvements in performance, increase rates of optimisation, conversion and engagement, including A/B and multivariate testing.

You have experience of pulling data from internal and external data sources such as GA4, Brandwatch and Cision, and visualizing the data to educate stakeholders. You also have excellent presentation skills and ability to articulate data insights to all stakeholders.

Responsibilities

CRM

• Championing our team goal of maintaining a secure, clean, accurate and up-to-date database by data cleansing, encouraging best practice and understanding around the Salesforce org, to allow for data-driven decisions in the broader team. 
• Contributing to and developing written guidelines, retrieving and preparing data for upload through Data Loader, using Excel tools and functions to manipulate data (especially Vlookup, but also conditional highlighting, filters, formatting etc.). 
• Supporting ~60 internal users with day-to-day bespoke services including reporting, creating and editing list views, maintaining page layouts and best practices, all managed through cases and assigned to you by team needs. 
• Actively participating in projects, including owning tasks, critical thinking and inputting into project conversations, and liaising with stakeholders to suggest solutions. 
• Run training sessions for staff, from Salesforce basics to more advances and bespoke functionality. Frequently improve and monitor training materials to increase efficiency and adoption. 
• Using Form Assembly to create and manage forms, ensuring accurate data collection and entry into Salesforce and independently handling error messages coming in as a part of a rota (after training).
• Using Jira to proactively create and track work
• Work closely with Third Party support providers to progress work. This could be Partner consultancies, Salesforce Support, or other Products in use within the Org. 
• Working within the Salesforce NPSP data model, ensuring accurate management of constituents, relationships, and donations.

Marketing Cloud 

• This role will support our use of Marketing Cloud Engagement, alongside the CRM team and Partner organisations.  This will include:
• Supporting the use and development of Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement, including managing data extensions, contact segmentation, and audience creation to support targeted campaigns.
• Ensuring data quality and compliance within Marketing Cloud by maintaining accurate subscriber data, managing preferences, and supporting GDPR best practices.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to translate campaign requirements into technical builds, including personalisation, dynamic content, and automation.
• Monitoring campaign performance through reports and analytics, providing insights and recommendations to improve engagement and effectiveness.
• Supporting integration and data flow between Salesforce CRM and Marketing Cloud, troubleshooting issues and ensuring consistency across platforms.
• Contributing to documentation and best practice guidelines for Marketing Cloud usage, including campaign processes, naming conventions, and data management standards.
• Assisting with user support and training related to Marketing Cloud functionality, helping team members adopt tools and improve campaign execution.

This will include reviewing our processes, data capture and systems and making recommendations for improvement, where appropriate. You will also provide robust evidence to support evidenced based decision-making through your data analysis and visualisation skills. Critically, you will bring this evidence to life, demonstrating what difference we make to beneficiaries. You will have the ability to discuss complex data in a way that is engaging and easy to understand for a variety of internal and external stakeholders. 

SSAFA has recently brought together colleagues in digital and data roles across the organisation to form a taskforce with the aim of using technology to help our staff and volunteers communicate, share information and collaborate, and to develop products and services so that we can reach more of the people we support increasing our impact.  This role will have the opportunity to collaborate with these colleagues to deliver this aim with a particular focus on data and systems. Your goal will be to support a culture of continuous improvement informed by the work you do.

SSAFA’s current Strategic Plan highlights, ‘Understanding Need,’ as a core area of importance for the charity. To support our work in this area, SSAFA has recently received funding to develop an impact framework for our Casework service to demonstrate the difference we make to the Armed Forces Community.  You will form a key part of the team working to deliver this.

The Data Management and Insight Officer will support the day-to-day management of White Ribbon’s data systems, including CRM (Zoho Bigin) and email marketing processes, website data capture, reporting and audience journeys. The role will help ensure that data is accurate, joined up, compliant and useful, enabling teams across the organisation to better understand audiences, improve engagement, evidence impact and make informed decisions.

Key responsibilities

Data management and quality

• Manage and maintain organisational data, ensuring records are accurate, consistent, up to date and fit for purpose.
• Carry out regular data cleaning, including removing duplicates and improving the quality and completeness of records.
• Help to develop and embed clear processes for data entry, data storage, data management and reporting.
• Support colleagues to use agreed systems, templates and processes consistently.
• Identify gaps, issues or risks in current data processes and recommend practical improvements.
• Ensure that personal and sensitive data is handled securely and in line with GDPR, confidentiality requirements and internal policies.

CRM, systems and data flows

• Carry out he day-to-day management and development of White Ribbon’s CRM system, currently Zoho Bigin and any future CRM platforms.
• Map and monitor key data flows between systems, including Zoho Bigin, Mailchimp, Squarespace and other relevant platforms.
• Ensure that data pathways between systems are working effectively, including between Zoho Bigin and Mailchimp.
• Work with colleagues to improve how data is captured, stored, transferred and reported across platforms.
• Support the management of mailing lists, audience records, campaign data and supporter information.
• Work with system providers or external support where required to resolve issues and improve processes.

 Email marketing, audience journeys and segmentation

• Support the management of audience journeys, working with relevant teams to ensure the right emails are going out to the right audiences at the right time.
• Help to ensure that data is collected consistently through audience journeys, forms, campaigns and website activity.
• Support colleagues to understand and improve audience segmentation, including Ambassadors, Champions, Accredited Organisations, supporters, partners and other key audiences.
• Use data to help identify trends, engagement patterns, gaps and opportunities across different audience groups.
• Support the use of Mailchimp or other mailing systems, including audience management, reporting and data quality.

Website and Promise page administration

• Administer and support the data processes linked to the White Ribbon Promise page on the website.
• Ensure that Promise data is captured, stored, monitored and reported accurately.
• Work with the Communications Manager and relevant colleagues to improve the Promise user journey and related data collection.
• Support reporting on Promise activity, website forms and other key digital engagement points.

Reporting, insight and analytics

• Produce regular reports and dashboards for trustees, managers and staff.
• Run reports that support organisational planning, communications, fundraising, campaigns, accreditation, training and engagement activity.
• Use data to identify trends, risks, gaps and opportunities.
• Present findings clearly and accessibly for colleagues with different levels of confidence using data.

Surveys, monitoring and evaluation

• Support the development of practical monitoring and evaluation systems across the organisation.
• Help to collect, collate, analyse and interpret survey data, including surveys for Ambassadors, Champions and other key audiences.
• Draw out clear findings and recommendations from survey data and feedback.
• Support the collection of evidence, statistics, case studies and learning for reports, funders, trustees and organisational planning.
• Help White Ribbon better understand the impact and reach of its work through clear, consistent and meaningful data.

Organisational support

• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation to understand their data needs and support better use of systems.

The Philanthropy Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the wider Partnerships and Philanthropy team to deliver growth income targets year on year, including an ambitious target to double income from individual donors over 3 years.

The post holder will need experience in donor prospecting, including regular, efficient and in-depth prospecting, identifying, researching and planning approaches to donors. Experience in cultivation and stewardship is desired, as well as the ability to identify key moments to engage donors through communications and events. 

This role is a key link to other internal teams, the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams is essential. The post holder will be responsible for financial reconciliation, initial due diligence and data management. The role will also provide support to senior colleagues on donor meetings, diary management, room bookings, tours and cultivation events and other administrative tasks as needed. 

Weekend and evening work may be required according to business needs.

About you:

You will be a highly organised and detail-oriented person with excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong digital proficiency in CRM/database systems and data analysis, with the ability to manage multiple workflows, priorities, and deadlines accurately and efficiently. Experience in fundraising and/ or a similar role whilst maintaining high standards of record-keeping is a must; alongside being committed to putting young people at the centre of work.
