Overall Objectives

Job Summary
We’re looking for an inspiring and strategic leader to shape how the public sees, feels and experiences St John Ambulance. As Creative Content & Brand Lead, you will define and deliver a compelling creative vision across our content, storytelling and campaigns, ensuring every touchpoint reflects our brand and resonates with our audiences. Whether motivating people to donate or volunteer, or providing clear, trusted clinical information, your work will play a vital role in strengthening engagement and impact.
As part of the Fundraising, Brand and External Communications team within the Operations and Income Generation Network, you will be instrumental in building brand understanding and consideration to support fundraising growth. You’ll champion the value of brand and creative content across the organisation, leading with a positive, adaptable and resilient mindset. About You
You are an experienced creative, content or brand leader with a strong track record of delivering impactful work for high-profile, purpose-led organisations. You will bring significant expertise in developing content strategies and leading creative output across complex environments. You are confident managing multi-channel brand campaigns end-to-end, working across in-house teams, freelancers and agencies to deliver high-quality, audience-focused content.
You have proven experience of leading and developing high-performing teams, setting clear direction through vision, strategy and measurable objectives. Comfortable operating in large, complex organisations, you build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and know how to navigate complexity to get things done. You are highly organised, with strong project management skills, and are always looking for ways to improve processes and team efficiency.
A skilled communicator, you bring excellent presentation, copywriting, editing and proofreading abilities, underpinned by exceptional attention to detail. You are confident leading meetings and working groups, and able to influence and engage a wide range of audiences. You keep a close eye on external trends and best practice, using insight and inspiration to continuously evolve creative approaches and raise standards.
You are a strong brand guardian, with the ability to ensure consistency and quality across all channels and touchpoints. Alongside your strategic strengths, you are comfortable with hands-on delivery, with working knowledge of design tools and the ability to create draft creative assets and presentations where needed.

About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for an operations professional who shares EJF’s commitment to environmental justice and is ready to take on real responsibility across a fast-growing global non-profit organisation.
As Operations Officer, you will play a hands-on role in keeping EJF's international operations running smoothly across 16 countries on four continents, with a particular focus on our five European offices.
Your remit will be broad. From ensuring offices function efficiently and IT systems operate safely, to providing HR support to line managers and coordinating across teams in multiple time zones, no two days will look the same. Over time, you will develop a working knowledge of the full operational landscape of an international NGO, building skills and experience across functions that few comparable roles can offer.
You will bring at least three years of experience in an operations, coordination, or administrative role, ideally in an international or multi-site environment. You will also have strong organisational skills, sound judgement, and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
This is a role for someone who takes pride in getting things right, thrives on variety, and wants to contribute meaningfully to an organisation working on some of the most urgent environmental and human rights issues of our time.
Key responsibilities
Operations, Systems & IT Support: This includes user onboarding; troubleshooting technical issues with our hardware or software (calling in external support when needed); managing access and settings; and supporting digital security procedures.
HR & People: This includes implementing recruitment and induction processes; maintaining staff records and ensuring timely staff reports and appraisals; supporting effective transactional HR services across European offices; and answering ad hoc staff queries.
Office management: The role will ensure that offices in the UK, Belgium, France, Germany and Spain run efficiently and provide staff with excellent places to work and collaborate.
General Administration & Organisational Support: This will include managing shared inboxes and calendars; supporting significant procurements and associated financial processes; maintaining institutional registrations and log-ins with relevant entities; implementing systems and processes across the team as required; organising all-staff and management team meetings; and providing ad hoc support for events and other administrative tasks.
Essential skills and experience

At least three years’ experience in an operations, coordination, or administrative role, ideally within an international or multi-site environment.
Strong organisational and time-management skills, with a proven ability to juggle competing priorities and deliver consistently to deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the confidence to liaise with colleagues, partners and suppliers across diverse cultures and time zones.
Sound judgement and discretion when handling confidential or sensitive information, including HR and personnel matters.

Confident IT user, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace and the ability to learn new systems and tools quickly.

Fluency in English.
Desirable skills and experience
Experience working across more than one operational discipline (HR, IT, facilities, finance).

Help shape a new Supported Lodgings service and make a real difference to young people aged 16–21. In this fast‑paced role, you’ll assess need and risk, coordinate placements with trained community hosts, and provide practical, strengths‑based support that helps young people build stability, skills and confidence on their journey to independent living.
You’ll also recruit, train and support hosts, work closely with partners across housing, care and safeguarding, and actively promote the service in the local community. About Woman's Trust
The charity was established in 1996 to meet the gap in specialist mental health services. Woman’s Trust is led by and for women and aims to ensure that women affected by domestic abuse can live a life free from further harm and abuse. Our approach is trauma-informed and person-centred, empowering survivors on their journey to recovery from the trauma. We are committed to a positive, inclusive and equitable environment for our staff, service users and volunteers.
Alongside delivering our existing 1-1 counselling, self-development workshops and therapeutic support groups for women who have experienced domestic abuse, we are focused on developing our innovative mental health services for young women and girls, delivering new peer-led support groups and providing therapeutic groups to children and their mothers. About the role
You will support Trusts & Foundations and Statutory income generation for Woman’s Trust, led by the HOF. You will secure five and six-figure, multiple-year grants and support the increase of organisational income from £1.2m to £3m in the next 3 years. You will effectively communicate our services and campaign aims and develop funder partnerships and relationships aligned to our strategic priorities. You will manage and deliver the whole cycle of trusts and foundations income generation, including regular prospecting, producing impactful funder reports and maintaining our CRM system
