About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our fundraising team and play a key role in growing income through corporate partnerships and fundraising events.
Reporting to the Head of Income Generation, you will help deliver our income generation strategy by identifying and securing new supporters, developing strong business relationships and creating engaging fundraising opportunities that inspire people to support our work.

Key Responsibilities
- Identify, develop and secure new corporate partnerships and sponsorship opportunities.
- Manage and grow relationships with existing corporate supporters.

Summary of the role:
The Governance & Performance Manager ensures effective organisational governance, performance oversight, and alignment between strategy and delivery.
The postholder is responsible for leading the coordination of governance processes, Board and Committee cycles, organisational performance frameworks, strategic project management and executive reporting. The Executive Assistant is a senior member of the Lead Bishop's Office, working closely with the Lead Bishop and Chaplain to extend and enable the Bishop's ministry and leadership across the Diocese of York. The postholder will provide proactive, strategic and highly professional executive support, ensuring that the Bishop's time, priorities and resources are used effectively in support of the Diocese's mission and ministry.
The Executive Assistant will act as a trusted colleague, organiser, coordinator and facilitator, helping to respond efficiently to a high volume of correspondence and invitations, to ensure that the Bishop is well prepared for meetings, visits and key decisions, that actions are followed through effectively, and that those who engage with the Bishop's Office receive a welcoming, responsive and pastorally sensitive service.

Responsibilities
Executive Support to the Lead Bishop
- Provide high-level executive support to the Lead Bishop.
- Manage a complex and demanding flow of correspondence and diary, ensuring that responses, appointments and commitments align with the Bishop's priorities and strategic objectives.

About the Role
This is a key role at the heart of The Loss Foundation's support services. A central part of the role is building strong relationships with our extraordinary community of volunteers, ensuring they feel connected to the charity, well supported and equipped to deliver high-quality support. Alongside this, you'll coordinate our programme of bereavement support events and ensure the systems and processes behind our services run smoothly. This is not a clinical or direct bereavement-support role - our support groups and services are delivered by trained volunteers.
