Responsibilities and Person Specification:
This is an exciting opportunity to lead the delivery and ongoing evolution of our ambitious Trusts and Foundations fundraising strategy, securing transformational five- and six-figure grants that will drive our long-term impact and growth.
We're looking for an exceptional relationship-builder and communicator with a proven track record of securing five- and six-figure grants from Trusts and Foundations. You'll be confident translating complex data into compelling funding propositions and using your outstanding written, verbal and presentation skills to inspire support for our mission.

This is a full-time role, 35 hours per week, which you can choose to work over five days or a 9-day fortnight. We also are open to this role being worked on a part-time basis on a minimum of 28 hours per week.

As Foundations Manager, you will research, develop and manage relationships with our partners and prospects, with a particular focus on partnerships at the six and seven-figure level. About the role
The Business Development and Fundraising Manager will play a crucial role in delivering a key pillar of our strategy: to build Claremont’s financial strength and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development, Marketing and Promotion

Develop and implement marketing initiatives to increase bookings for Claremont's halls and meeting rooms.

Promote our hire spaces across online platforms (such as TagVenue and Sharesy), build new partnerships, and grow bookings through local networking and word-of-mouth.

Job Overview

Working with the Business Development and Fundraising Lead, you will identify, initiate, and lead

Key Responsibilities and Day-to-Day Duties
Bid Writing & Evidence Gathering
- Collaboratively write funding bids that help deliver on Space’s strategic objectives and income generation plans.
- Collate evidence that strengthens Space’s ability to write informed and comprehensive funding bids
Relationship Management
- Work with the Business Development and Fundraising Lead to develop and manage a supporter stewardship process to attract new and sustain existing donors and other supporters.
Systems & Administration
- Adhere to and build effective processes and systems for tracking fundraising activities, money, contacts, records, and reporting.
Corporate Partnerships & Business Development
- Identify local businesses to engage with Space Youth Centres and Chances School.
- Create opportunities for corporate partnerships and income support that align with the organisation's mission and values.
Marketing & Campaigns
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create fundraising and engagement campaigns and materials, such as brochures, emails, newsletters, and social media content.
- Develop campaigns and content for engaging staff and the public in their own fundraising initiatives for Space Youth Services (e.g., managing JustGiving pages, best practice guides, and website content).
- Recognise, reward, and celebrate young people’s achievements, learning, and successes - acting as the vital link between on-the-ground success stories and the Marketing team.
Community Engagement & Local Events
- Work with local Youth Work managers to develop and implement local fundraising plans, including the planning and delivery of community events.
- Manage and attend events when required. Work at times that are conducive to community fundraising activities and participants, including evenings and weekends on occasion.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute central fundraising events, community outreach, and engagement strategies.
Volunteer Support
- Work with the volunteer coordinator and Social Action Manager to support local fundraising volunteers.

The position
The Head of Fundraising & Business Development is one of three new senior leadership roles we're creating alongside our CEO, the first time OUTpatients has built a leadership team of this kind. About the role

The Role
The Development Team secures vital funding to support core programming and public engagement, exhibitions, collections care and major capital projects at Royal Museums Greenwich. We work with philanthropists, companies and trusts & foundations, building a community of generous and loyal supporters from our Patrons Circle and legacies to major grants and corporate partners. Our current focus is to secure a team target of £2M revenue income in this financial year, and deliver the funding needed to deliver First Light, a landmark capital transformation of the Royal Observatory Greenwich.

Reporting to the Senior Manager: Development Business Operations, and working with all our fundraisers, the post holder will play a vital role in creating action led prospect pipelines.
Key responsibilities include the identification and assessment of new prospective donors to increase Royal Museums Greenwich's donor pool - based on a solid understanding of current projects and priorities. Prospect pipeline activity will be supported by detailed research profiles and due diligence, ensuring that fundraisers are informed and focussed and to ensure prospect cultivation actions and deadlines are regularly recorded, kept on track and on target.
The role is responsible for maintaining the department's systems, processes and data - always aware that effective management maximises income generation and donor engagement and always seeking improvement in these areas. This role has responsibility for day-to-day management of, and training on, the fundraising database: Blackbaud’s RE NXT. The database is a vital tool in recording fundraising opportunities and actions, recording gifts, stewardship and donor interactions with Royal Museums Greenwich. As such, a good understanding of data protection law and how it is applied will play a large part in this role.
The successful candidate will have a track record in successful research, an interest in the heritage sector, and will demonstrate strong writing and analytical skills. They will be able to work on their own initiative, as well as having an understanding of the importance of data management and how process improvement can lead to more efficient working.
This is a full-time, permanent role in Band 6 - Management and Competent Specialists. Core hours of work will be 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 9am - 5pm, with an additional hour to be worked as agreed upon with management. Occasional evening working will be required - as part of the wider team - to support fundraising events.
Salary: £31,400 per annum.
