Internally, you’ll provide leadership and direction across the events and engagement function. You’ll support and mentor staff, recruit and induct volunteers, fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing environment.
This role requires both strategic planning capabilities, as well as skills in organisation and hands-on delivery. About the role
We are currently seeking to appoint a Safeguarding Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the day to day operational safeguarding functions for our charity. You will manage a team of Safeguarding Officers to ensure that an effective and robust safeguarding service is provided. The post holder will provide professional advice and support on safeguarding matters to staff and volunteers, as well as liaising and meeting with external bodies, and occasionally delivering training.
You will have experience of the voluntary youth or community sector as a direct practitioner, and knowledge of Early Help and statutory guidance relating to safeguarding children and adults at risk. You will also have experience of managing a team where safeguarding is the main focus area of your work.
Our safeguarding team operates centrally in London where we are responsible for providing support, advice and guidance to our volunteers relating on all safeguarding matters across the UK. Our Safeguarding Officers act as our lead professionals in managing safeguarding casework in line with our policy, procedures, national guidance and in line with our statutory duty.
Whilst this is a Monday- Friday full time position, a flexible approach to work and working patterns is a must, as is the ability to work effectively and respond appropriately in challenging circumstances.

Job Purpose
We are looking for a versatile and enthusiastic public-facing team member to support the development, launch and operation of ANT’s new commercial ventures - including plans to launch ecotourism, commercial rental offerings at Lower Chew Forest and carry out scoping of green burials - to start generating commercial income which can go back into supporting the charity’s ongoing work.
This is a dynamic role that will involve supporting the successful launch and operation of new ventures through focusing on optimising and improving the experience of paying visitors to the site, taking into account all aspects of their journey with us - from hearing about us and booking to their actual visit, and onto aftercare and follow-ups to encourage repeat visits. As part of this, the role will also support the development of new branding and marketing materials and ‘added value’ extras that can enhance the visitor experience and generate additional revenue.

Main responsibilities
Leading on ensuring excellent visitor experience, including facilitating bookings; fielding customer service needs, enquiries & issues (digital, on the phone and in person); identifying and solving or escalating issues; and tailoring our digital marketing and on-site offerings to ensure guest satisfaction

• You will ensure the safety and wellbeing of clients in the service at all times including ensuring that Safeguarding and emergency alert procedures are followed as laid out in Depaul’s Policy and Procedures.

About the role

About the role
The Regional Communications Officer role is an exciting and varied opportunity to work with Emmaus communities across the South of the UK, helping to raise their profile and engage supporters.
You will work closely with up to four Emmaus communities to identify their communications needs and deliver a mix of activity to help them achieve their goals.
