The role

As Manager of Philanthropic Giving, you will lead myaware’s trusts, foundations and high-value philanthropy fundraising, driving sustainable income growth through a strong and well-managed funding pipeline. You will shape and deliver strategies to secure both restricted and unrestricted income, manage the full bid lifecycle, and build long-term relationships with trusts, statutory funders and high-net-worth individuals.

Working closely with the CEO, senior leadership and trustees, you will develop compelling funding propositions, steward funders through excellent reporting and engagement, and represent myaware at meetings, events and networking opportunities. You will also maintain accurate records through our CRM system, track performance against targets, and contribute to income planning and reporting. This is a strategic and hands-on role with real impact for people affected by myasthenia.

The Manager of Philanthropic Giving will be predominantly home based within the UK (with occasional working and meetings at Derby HQ) and will work in co-operation with the fundraising team and all myaware colleagues to deliver agreed fundraising targets and campaigns. Own transport is essential for this role as occasional travel throughout the UK will be required to attend donor meetings, events and networking opportunities, as well as the ability to travel to the Derby office. There may be the need to occasionally work during weekends and evenings and therefore there is a need to work flexibly when required.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for an experienced and motivated fundraising professional with a strong track record in major donor and Trusts & Foundations fundraising. You will have experience securing significant gifts, building and stewarding long-term funder relationships, and writing compelling funding applications and impact reports.

You will be a strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal, research and organisational skills, confident managing a complex pipeline and working collaboratively across teams. You will be comfortable working independently, using CRM systems, and engaging senior stakeholders, including trustees and high-level donors. Most importantly, you will share myaware’s values, demonstrate empathy with our cause, and be committed to making a meaningful difference through philanthropy.

Who are we?

Myaware is the only charity in the UK dedicated solely to the care and support of people affected by myasthenia. 

We are working hard to raise awareness of myasthenia, as it is a little-known condition. We provide support for people with myasthenia and their families, whilst offering advice and tips for living with the condition. 

We also fund the research that brings us closer to finding a cure as well as funding specialists nurses and advisors. 

Members of myaware have full access to a wide range of support services and events including our specialist benefits and welfare advisor. 

Myaware supports people with myasthenia and their families.  We campaign for better medical services for people with myasthenia and work to inform medical professionals. 

The myasthenias are a group of neuromuscular conditions. They are rare but also manageable and can affect anyone, regardless of age, gender or nationality. Myasthenia gravis, ocular myasthenia and Lambert-Eaton myasthenic syndrome are autoimmune conditions whereas congenital myasthenic syndrome is caused by an inherited genetic fault. It is thought that there are approximately 20,000 people currently living with myasthenia in the UK.

JOB DESCRIPTION:Payroll & Accounts Administrator 

• Responsible to Payroll Manager 

• Responsible for Payroll, Staff Expenses, Accounts Payable and other admin duties. 

• Salary for a FTE £27,000 to £30,000 (Pro rota for part time hours) 

• Location: On-site/Head Office, Pelham Road, Nottingham

• Hours per week required: 52.5 in total across two vacancies

• Two vacancies available: 30 hours or 22.5 hours per week (Monday-Friday/Specific days/hours to be confirmed upon successful appointment) 

OVERALL PURPOSE OF POST: 

To provide professional, proactive and comprehensive Payroll services for management in the support of over 300 staff. The role will focus on all payroll related activities for Care Staff across all areas of the organisation. 

In addition, the post will provide any required by the Payroll Manager in relation to any other payroll tasks across TuVida. 

To also oversee the administration of funds spent by departments to ensure all spend is withing policy, approved and backing receipts / invoices received. 

The role also support the day-to-day finance administration of supplier invoices, supplier payments and reconciliations. 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Timely completion of all administrative activities to support the payroll process including collating and reviewing payroll information in line with the necessary time line, preparing the payroll file for signature and audit purposes, submitting the payroll file for payment processing and responding to any queries received from care staff. 

• Manage the distribution of payslips ensuring data compliance is met. 

• Accurately maintain employee data in all systems including Sage Payroll, Webroster and the National Minimum Data Set. 

• Produce all regular weekly and monthly reports and ad-hoc request to support the Operational Teams and Senior Leadership Team. 

• Support the annual leave for care staff including the calculation of entitlement each year. 

• Undertake electronic filling, photocopying and general administrative duties as required in the support of payroll. 

• Set up new starters in payroll ensuring all necessary paperwork is received 

• Support Care Staff induction process regarding payroll matters 

• Process leavers through payroll including final payments and holiday adjustments 

• Ensure that sickness is paid in accordance with current regulations and company policies 

• Manage the Soldo account ensuring account holders receive the funds needed once approved. 

• Ensure all spend on Soldo, Credit Cards and Petty Cash is reconciled each month with backing of all spend. Includes preparation of required Sage Accounts posting. 

• Processing supplier invoices and maintaining accurate records 

• Managing supplier statements and supporting accounts payable processes 

• Preparing payments for approval and maintaining payment records 

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS 

The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate: 

• Previous experience in accounts administration, bookkeeping and payroll. 

• Able to demonstrate knowledge and experience with Payroll and payroll systems desirable but not essential as training will be provided. 

• Able to demonstrate understanding of confidentiality. 

• Experience of providing Payroll support to organisations with headcount over 200 desirable but not essential. 

• Computer literate. 

• Possess a good understanding of Microsoft Office (including Excel). 

• Excellent communication skills are essential. 

• Able to deal with Care Staff with a sensitive and understanding approach. 

• A practical approach when managing tasks and time

Working closely with colleagues across the organisation to deliver high-quality, responsive digital, data and technology support, you'll play a crucial role in enabling teams to work efficiently and maximise impact for children.

About the role

As Service & Support Analyst, you will be a key member of the Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) function, providing first and second-line support to colleagues across Save the Children UK. You will ensure that technology services are reliable, accessible and easy to use, helping staff to do their jobs effectively.

You will troubleshoot incidents, fulfil service requests, work closely with suppliers and technical teams, and play an important role in improving service quality, user experience and operational efficiency.

In this role, you will:

• Provide 1st and 2nd line IT support to colleagues, managing incidents and service requests in line with agreed SLAs and ITIL processes.
• Support the installation, configuration and maintenance of desktops, laptops, mobile devices, peripherals and software.
• Work with third-line teams and external suppliers to resolve technical issues and reduce repeat incidents through effective problem management.
• Take ownership of support tasks, contributing to continuous improvement of processes, documentation and knowledge bases.
• Deliver clear, customer-focused communication and hands-on IT support, including supporting senior leaders to ensure a seamless IT experience.
• Maintain accurate IT asset and software licence records and support the setup and delivery of IT services for internal events and programmes.

• Proven experience working in a 1st and/or 2nd line IT support role within an ITIL-based service environment.

The Salesforce and Systems Manager will play a key role in the Programmes team ensuring that our systems and processes run smoothly, that data is accurate and well maintained, and that we continue to innovate through our use of data systems to improve delivery and working across the wider Trust.

You will lead the usage and development of our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform, Salesforce, for the delivery and evaluation of our programmes. You will be responsible for overseeing the building and management of application and evaluation forms ensuring that internal and external colleagues views have been considered. Whilst this role sits within the programmes directorate, you will lead on Salesforce for the Trust as a whole and collaborate with other teams to ensure optimal running of the platform.

You will manage a number of external relationships, including our external Salesforce partners, application site partners and other digital and data partners to ensure that work is well managed, delivered on time and on budget. You will work closely with the Senior Impact and Evaluation Manager to ensure data on applications, evaluations, and long-term destinations is of high quality and securely held.

The role will report to the Senior Impact and Evaluation Manager, and work alongside, and with support from, the Data and Evaluation Officer.

Main duties

• Act as the Trust’s in-house Salesforce lead, keeping up to date with sector updates (including Artificial Intelligence), training staff members in how best to use Salesforce

• Lead on the management and integration between Salesforce and the Trust’s other data collection platforms including Form Assembly, Sutton Trust Online, Campaign Monitor, and Zoom

• Work cross-Trust to identify potential Salesforce process improvements or system changes that will deliver efficiencies, prioritising these and overseeing their build and deployment

• Manage relationships with external stakeholders including web developers and Salesforce/Form Assembly representatives

• Manage the build and development of programme application sites with input from programme leads

• Responsibility for quality of data coming into and held in Salesforce, complying with GDPR requirements

We are seeking an experienced communications lead to join our external engagement team and play a key role in shaping Martingale’s external profile and scholar recruitment.

As Communications Manager, you will lead on several critical aspects of Martingale’s work including all external communications from social media to PR, and brand management. Crucially, you will lead on the annual recruitment campaign for Martingale’s Postgraduate Scholarships. This three-month campaign each autumn is a fundamental part of Martingales work, ensuring we are finding and supporting as many talented people to apply as possible. Working closely with the Head of Communications and External Engagement, you will lead on all Martingale’s external communications.

A key responsibility will be ensuring that Martingale’s messaging is consistent, with a bold brand presence and strong collaboration with various external stakeholders including funders, universities, media, and government. You will also line manage the Events and Communications Officer who leads on all Martingale events and social media.

Key Responsibilities:

Working with the Head of Communications and External Engagement, you will lead on the design and implementation of end-to-end marketing for the recruitment campaign for Martingale Scholars:

• Ensure widespread marketing of the Martingale Scholarship opportunity across the UK, including in media (e.g., student newspapers), on university campuses and on graduate job boards.
• Coordinate an effective paid advertising campaign across multiple channels.
• Directly engage prospective scholars to increase interest and convince them to apply for Martingale opportunities. For example, leading email campaigns, visiting university campuses, or hosting webinars.
• Build relationships with university academics, careers departments, student societies, graduate careers platforms, and other organisations who work with Martingale’s target audience. Encourage them to share Martingale opportunities to relevant people.
• Develop marketing materials and coordinate circulation: leaflets, brochures, social media content, video, email and newsletters, case studies and interviews with relevant people incl. current scholars.
• Procure and coordinate any relevant external providers: e.g., paid digital advertising agencies.
• Manage the Applicant Tracking System, embed and manage a CRM system for enrolled scholars.

Manage brand and increase brand awareness:

• Manage and develop Martingale Foundation’s brand identity, and the identity of our programmes: visual identity, communication style, digital presence, in-person style and feel of events.
• Design and manage a creative and innovative social media campaign across multiple channels, incl. paid ads.
• Manage the website, including maintenance, development, and SEO – with agency support.
• Lead engagement with media outlets and relevant press, including student newspapers. Write engaging press releases and generate interest in Martingale.
• Develop innovative opportunities to grow Martingale’s brand awareness including opportunities for you or the CEO to showcase Martingale’s work.

Stakeholder management and communications:

• Produce and coordinate engaging communications and events for scholars and applicants, alongside the Programme’s team.
• Manage relationships with partner universities Marketing and External Relations teams, ensuring they are consulted and pleased with progress, while also delivering on their commitments.
• Develop collaborative relationships with charity partners or organisations with similar missions to Martingale, as well as potential employers of Martingale Scholars, and ensure they are aware of Martingale’s mission and progress whilst supporting recruitment and brand building efforts.
• Build productive relationships with funders relevant communications teams.

Organisation and team:

• Line manage the Events and Communications Officer, ensuring they are supported, clear on responsibilities and how they fit into the wider strategy of Martingale.
• Work across all departments in the organisation, ensuring that staff are supported to produce communications and that all Martingale’s work is being promoted effectively.

Monitor and report on the progress of the Martingale Foundation:

• Lead the production of impact reports.
• Collect and analyse data from applications, and annually review and refine the Martingale Scholarship’s recruitment campaign to make appropriate adjustments in future years.

About the Organisation:
We are a small, values-driven charity providing peer support services to bereaved adults. We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Operations Manager to oversee the charity’s general operations and ensure the effective, compliant delivery of our services.

Who we’re looking for

We are looking for an experienced, people-oriented project manager who is excited to help us deliver and scale innovative data programmes. You will work directly with organisations from across the third sector to understand their missions and translate their challenges into well-scoped projects. You will also support teams of volunteer data experts to scope projects and deliver impactful data science solutions.

You don't need to write code or run analysis yourself, but you should be comfortable working alongside technical experts, asking the right questions to scope data projects, and translating between technical and non-technical stakeholders. You'll need to hold conversations with data scientists about what's feasible, help charity partners understand what's possible with their data, and know when to bring in additional technical expertise.

If you don’t have all the experience and skills listed below, please still consider applying. We don’t expect a candidate to have 100% of these, but we do want to know that you have relevant experience and an appetite to learn in other areas.

Essential skills and experience

• Project management: You are a skilled project manager, successfully leading projects involving multiple stakeholders from conception to completion. Working hours and location 

This is a full-time role (35 hours per week); however we will consider part-time options (28 or 32 hours per week) for a strong candidate. Working hours are flexible, but we ask that 75% of working time is within the hours of 10am and 6pm, to facilitate team working and real-time collaboration.

The role requires regular out-of-hours commitments - roughly one weekend per quarter and 2-4 evenings per month for volunteer events. This work is part of, rather than additional to, your hours, and you must take time off in lieu for any extra working hours.

Our organisation is remote-first, and this role is hybrid, with access to London office space on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and quarterly in-person commitments in London. We have a preference for candidates able to work from our office space in London at least one day per week. There may be occasional national travel within the UK for other events and conferences, with reasonable expenses covered.

We offer flexible working patterns, both in terms of hours and remote working. We are incredibly excited to share a brand new role at Head In The Game as we enter a major period of growth.

We are recruiting an Area Operations Manager to lead and shape the delivery of our work across West Kent and South London. This is a senior, hands on role and a huge step forward in the expansion of our charity. 

While the role is primarily home based, the successful applicant will need to regularly travel to West Kent and South London to support the delivery of the programme.

This position sits at the heart of our organisation. You will be responsible for the quality, safety and consistency of our programmes, while supporting and leading the brilliant staff and volunteers who make our work possible. The impact of this role is real and direct, helping us reach more people, in more communities, through sport and physical activity that supports mental health and helps prevent suicide.

We are looking for someone with strong experience in the charity or community sector, who understands high quality delivery, safeguarding and partnership working. Just as important is a genuine passion for mental health and the power of sport to change lives. This role is ideal for someone who is people focused, values led and excited by responsibility and growth.

This is a 1 year rolling contract, salary £28,000 per year plus travel expenses and pension, with flexible working and regular travel to programme venues.
