The Active Ageing Coordinator will run BIAS’s very popular twice-weekly active ageing lunch clubs in Dollis Hill and Cricklewood, which attract over 50 attendees per session, working with a team of volunteers to coordinate activities including Irish music, dancing and bingo. We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic person who is happy to take a hands-on approach to the development and delivery of our active ageing project. You will need to have strong people skills and the ability to proactively build positive relationships with volunteers and service users, along with excellent organisational abilities.

The project (funded by the Irish Government’s Emigrant Support Programme) will also involve delivering occasional special events for club members, such as St Patrick’s Day and Christmas celebrations and health and wellbeing days. You will need a strong capacity to build relationships and partnerships with other organisations and community groups in the borough, and a willingness to work with the leadership team on the marketing and development of the clubs, including via social media.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Take the lead on the day-to-day running of BIAS’s two active ageing clubs in Brent, ensuring that they are welcoming, accessible and available to all.
• Carry out administrative tasks necessary for the successful running of the clubs, including shopping for club supplies, preparing refreshments, setting up music, organising entertainment and banking attendance fees, working within agreed budgets.
• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all club members during club sessions, and manage communication and additional engagement with members outside of club sessions.
• Record and maintain member and attendance information in BIAS’s client management system.
• Where needed and possible, provide support to BIAS’s Active Ageing Coordinator in Haringey borough, and cooperate on joint club initiatives.
• Working in close cooperation with BIAS’s Volunteer Manager, encourage volunteer recruitment and retention and supervise volunteers during club sessions, ensuring that they have a safe working environment and a positive, fulfilling volunteering experience.
• Contribute to the promotion of the active ageing clubs in the local community, help create content and manage community interactions on BIAS’s social media accounts, and represent BIAS at occasional community events.
• Organise an annual summer outing for club members, and work closely with the leadership team on the organisation of a Christmas event for the wider BIAS community.
• Plan annual Health and Wellbeing Days in cooperation with local health networks, and work with the management team to identify other possible initiatives to improve the health and wellbeing of active ageing club members.
• Develop and maintain good relations with other cultural organisations and community groups in Brent, with the aim of promoting cooperation and cross-cultural exchanges.
• Work with the management team to identify opportunities for expansion of the active ageing project and ways to increase community engagement with BIAS.
• Attend regular supervision sessions with the Head of Operations, and be willing to undertake training and professional development as needed.

These are the basic duties required of the Active Ageing Coordinator. However, it is necessary for all staff to be flexible and you may be required from time to time to perform other reasonable duties which are required for the efficient running of the organisation. We will also offer training opportunities to support your career development.

Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK. This post will require travel to club venues and transport of club supplies, so access to a car is required.

BIAS is a local charity which has supported England’s largest Irish community for over forty-five years. We deliver our support through our welfare advice drop-in service, our active ageing clubs and our Be-a-friend volunteer scheme. We raise over £2 million in extra income for the most vulnerable every year and have over 3000 attendances at our club services. BIAS has exciting plans for further expansion and has a range of medium- to long-term grant funding streams, including from Ireland’s Emigrant Support Programme.

At our North West London Home, we are recruiting a Head of Kennels who will share our compassion and commitment for animal welfare to provide front line leadership to our team of Kennel and Animal Care staff and volunteers. We care for up to fifteen dogs on site, in addition to dogs placed into foster homes. Our Head of Kennels is responsible for managing the day-to-day smooth running of our kennels and maintaining the wellbeing of all dogs in our care, so that their individual physical and psychological needs are catered for adequately, and in line with our standards and ethics.

This is a high profile and hugely important role for Mayhew as our Head of Kennels oversees each dog's journey through Mayhew from in-take to assessment and then to rehoming. Working with staff and volunteers across the Home, foster carers, adopters, other charities and rescues and members of the public, our Head of Kennels is instrumental in ensuring that our dogs have all they need - from feeding, exercising, cleaning, and socialising to finding their perfect forever home. The Legal Director provides strategic leadership on immigration, economic migration, asylum and nationality for ILPA, with a primary focus on legal policy, legislative analysis, member engagement and public influence.

1. Legal strategy and leadership

d. Advise the Trustees and Chief Executive on legal policy priorities, organisational positioning and risk.

Marauders Men's Health is a dynamic, South Wales-based charity dedicated to improving the health, wellbeing, and mental fitness of men through connection and support. We are the community where men can walk, talk, and grow together, underpinned by the Five Ways to Wellbeing model (Connect, Be Active, Give, Take Notice, Learn).

We have established strong foundations, including secured funding from the Big Lottery Community Fund over three years, a full Board of Trustees, and a growing programme of 8 events each week, including Walk & Talks and Sports Hubs. We are seeking an inspiring leader to drive our ambitious strategy to engage 7,000 men and provide 330 Personal Wellbeing Plans over the next three years.

Opportunity 
Reporting directly to the Board of Trustees, this crucial role is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and operational delivery of the charity. You will take the lead in executing our strategic vision and ensuring our operations are robust, particularly in the development of our key programmes and IT platform.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic & Operational Leadership

· Lead the day-to-day running and strategic direction of the charity in line with the Board’s vision.

· Develop, manage, and oversee the charity's resources and workstreams.

· Ensure governance, compliance, and policies/procedures remain in good shape.

· Support the Board with fundraising strategy and financial accountability, including financial forecasting and reporting to funders.

2. Programme Management & Delivery

· Directly manage the Programme & Projects Manager and the Regional Event Leaders, and assist in the recruitment process for the newly established Volunteering Co-ordinator and the Wellbeing Coach/Coordinator roles. 

· Drive the delivery and expansion of our core programmes, including the Physical Activities (Walk & Talks, Sports Hubs), Volunteer Engagement, Community Partnerships and the Personal Wellbeing Plans (PWP)18.

· Develop and implement the Marauders Pathway Programme to establish a culture of good citizenship and peer support.

3. People & Volunteer Management

· Provide leadership, support, and development for staff, managing issues such as payroll, sickness, and holidays.

· Oversee the Volunteer Co-ordinator to develop a comprehensive volunteer management process, including recruitment, training, and 'Reward & Recognition’.

· Help inspire 100 men to give back to the community through volunteering.

4. Partnerships & IT Development

· Maintain and forge new community partnerships (e.g. with voluntary organisations, NGO’s, other charities and social enterprises) to enhance volunteering, education, and wellbeing services.

· Spearhead the development of our IT Platform, focusing on a robust website and a Beneficiary Management System (CRM) for efficient reporting, data capture, and engagement.

· Oversee digital marketing and communications, including newsletters and social media content.

We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Wellbeing Children & Young People's (CYP) Lead to support and shape our therapeutic services for young people in Brighton and Hove.

Overview of key areas of responsibility:

Leadership

• Provide line management support and supervision to wellbeing workers (e.g. counsellors, practitioners, therapists, link workers and trainees).
• Work alongside a team of leads to support the running, development and management of the service.
• Lead induction, mentoring, and training of new staff, trainees, and volunteers.
• Foster a culture of learning, innovation, and continuous improvement across the team.

Core Clinical

• Carry out individual general counselling assessments of children and young people and make appropriate referrals.
• Provide guidance and oversight for complex or high-risk cases.
• Ensure all interventions are evidence-based, child-centred, and trauma-informed.
• Develop and oversee counselling protocols, therapeutic pathways, and risk assessment frameworks.

Safeguarding and Risk

• Lead and give oversight for safeguarding concerns, embedding a safeguarding-first culture across the service.
• Work to ensure all counsellors, staff, and link workers, are trained, confident, and compliant in safeguarding practice.
• Implement robust risk assessment and management processes.
• Monitor safeguarding incidents, identify themes, and strengthen safeguarding practice.

Service Development

• Work with the Service Manager, Leads and Clinical Leads to strengthen and expand counselling provision, including group work.
• Triage referrals and represent the service in multi-agency triage meetings.

• Build strong relationships with schools, health services, local authorities, commissioners, and community partners.
• Represent the service at local and regional forums, influencing CYP wellbeing strategies.

Qualifications, knowledge, and experience

• More than 2 years post-qualified at graduate or post graduate level Counselling Diploma or equivalent [of two years minimum duration including personal counselling or psychotherapy].
• BACP Registration or Accreditation and/or other eligible Professional Accreditation e.g. UKCP/HPC.
• Strong team-management and line-management experience is required, including demonstrated experience in supervising, developing, and supporting staff.
• A good level of understanding in therapeutic or counselling theory and practice and working to short-term models.
• A sound understanding of child developmental processes, Child Protection and Vulnerable Adult Safeguarding issues and procedures, along with proven experience in safeguarding young children.

• Develop a detailed fundraising blueprint, outlining language, approach, and strategy for each voluntary income stream (e.g. Trusts and Foundations, Individual Giving, Legacy, Corporate Partnerships).

Purpose of the role

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) provides strategic and operational leadership to ensure BDC Mind delivers high-quality mental health services, achieves organisational sustainability, and fosters a culture aligned to the charity’s values.

SALARY: £18,731 pro-rata including holiday pay, based on a working pattern of 30hrs/week across 4 or 5 days, and 39 weeks/year. £26,700 FTE

Our charity, the Jon Egging Trust, is looking for a highly motivated individual with experience of working with young people, to plan and deliver inspiring teamwork, leadership and employability programmes in North Wales. The role involves liaising with school staff, local partners (including the Military and local businesses) and volunteers to ensure programmes meet the needs of our young people and is supported by the Regional Manager, North Wales.  

The successful candidate will be based from home with a requirement to travel to partner schools and business sites in and around Anglesey, Bangor and occasionally along the A55 corridor. Fuel expenses are paid and travel time is included as part of working hours. Working with secondary schools to provide early support programmes, core delivery time is usually within the school working day and during school terms only. All other working hours can be managed with flexibility by the post holder to ensure that all administrative tasks are completed as required.
