We’re looking for a confident and enthusiastic fundraiser with a track record of delivering and leading major donor fundraising, membership schemes, corporate partnerships as well as securing significant funds from Trusts and Foundations.

The Fundraising Manager is responsible for implementing the charity’s fundraising strategy to increase our fundraised income to support all areas of our activity. This will be achieved by connecting donors and supporters to our mission to delight and unite communities through the power of live performance and participation.

The charity has ambitious plans for the future. We will continue to invest in the beautiful Theatre Royal Winchester. With the absence of Arts Council England National Portfolio funding, we will be transitioning to a new structure and funding model for future Hat Fair festivals. Through our engagement projects we will continue to have impact on our local community both in central Winchester and the wider district.

The Fundraising Manager role will be vital in:

• Helping to develop a sustainable fundraising model to secure future Hat Fair festivals

• Securing funding from Trusts and Foundations for community projects, core revenue to support our artistic and creative ambitions, and capital works

• Cultivating and securing large gifts from Major Donors

• Growing our membership base – our members are loyal and key advocates of the charity and audiences for our events

• Managing the relationships and developing our Corporate Partnerships

Reports to:  Associate Director of Business and Operations

Main responsibilities:

Sexual violence in prisons has long been ignored, leaving men without adequate support. Over the past year we have been part of a committee with HM Prison Service, Metropolitan Police and NHS England to create a Service on responding to serious sexual assaults within prisons in London. We want to raise awareness amongst prison staff of the appropriate responses to sexual violence and gather information about the needs of male survivors in prison to inform future service provision.

This new role sits at the heart of Bristol’s Nature Together project and is all about redefining what park quality really means. Not from behind a desk, but by working directly with communities to understand what matters most to them and turning that into practical, achievable change.

You will work alongside residents, community groups and Bristol City Council to co-create a way to define clear quality measures for local parks and translate them into realistic management plans. These plans will shape improvements on the ground and feed into the development of a Bristol-wide Quality Park Standard that can be used across the city and beyond.

Do you want to use your skills to make it possible for people with myeloma to live longer and better lives?  Are you an experienced event organiser looking for a new challenge?  We are looking for someone with event and project management experience who has excellent communication and relationship building skills to join the team responsible for delivering our programme of events. 

You’ll have good negotiation and presentation skills, a focus on detail and the ability to manage a variety of tasks often to tight deadlines.  You will need a thorough understanding of the principles of event management and how to identify and meet the needs of service users through event delivery as well as knowledge of systems for event evaluation and service improvement.

Previous experience of organising digital events and training or facilitating groups would be an advantage but not essential. 

About the role

The Information Events Coordinator will deliver the patient and family myeloma and AL amyloidosis information events programme consisting of face-to-face and online events hosted by the team and held throughout the UK, developing the strategy for the programme and implementing event activity with the aim to increase participation and attendance.

The role holder will organise the planning, coordination and delivery of the information events programme including administration, promotion and marketing, dealing with event logistics and delivery on the day.  You will monitor the associated income and expenditure for the information events programme ensuring that the programme is delivered to budget.

You will also be responsible for organising the planning and delivery of the digital events programme, dealing with promotion and marketing and taking ownership of technical aspects of running online events as well as developing marketing material and a publicity and communications strategy for the information events programme.

About this role

The Programmes Quality and Delivery department is a key unit within SPANA’s Global Programmes Directorate (GPD). The team ensures effective oversight of the design and delivery of working animal health and welfare interventions in collaboration with a range of national NGO partners across more than 20 countries in Africa, the Middle East, Asia and Central and South America. SPANA is strengthening the GPD to support partners to develop and deliver transformational and sustainable improvements in working animal welfare. 

Reporting to a Senior Programmes Manager, the Programmes Officer provides essential grant administration and project management support to a portfolio of partners, ensuring effective oversight across the lifecycle of grants. This involves developing effective working partnerships remotely and identifying risks and issues that need to be escalated. The Programmes Officer works closely with technical colleagues responsible for Monitoring Evaluation Accountability and Learning (MEAL), animal health and welfare, education and behaviour change and the wider organisation (e.g., communications, fundraising, advocacy and policy). 

Contract, location and salary

This role is a full-time (34.5 hours per week), permanent role. This is a UK based position, with 1-2 days per month (or more if preferred) worked from SPANA's office in London.

We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Operations Manager to play a vital role at the heart of our organisation. We are looking for a Foster Scheme Coordinator to coordinate Battersea’s London Foster Scheme, working in conjunction with Operations and Clinic in sourcing suitable temporary homes for those dogs in our London site requiring foster and supporting both foster carers and dogs during their time away from Battersea.
The Foster Scheme Coordinator will maximise further growth impact and development of the Foster Scheme and the engagement and retention of our Foster Carers through the implementation of the Volunteering and Fostering strategy for Battersea.
They will provide guidance and support to existing and potential Foster Carers including managing their expectations.
Finally, they will ensure that all the behavioural and medical needs of foster dogs are met whilst on foster, sometimes dealing with contentious issues in a professional and sensitive manner.

Would you be willing to develop a good layperson’s knowledge of health and wellbeing issues through reading and training?

We're seeking a Health & Wellbeing Officer to support the delivery of our health and wellbeing community-based projects, including Healthy Hubs in East Herts and Broxbourne, and other initiatives across the operating area.

The post holder will also play a key role supporting the development of new programmes and working alongside a team of staff and volunteers to deliver these services.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated team delivering a number of community-based health improvement projects. The role holder will receive training to become a Certified Stop Smoking Practitioner, will undertake delivery of Wellbeing Checks and will also ensure access to Dual Testing Kits and Condom Wallets as part of a programme to improve sexual health across the operating areas in East Herts and Broxbourne.

The role also includes regular liaison with food support agencies and organisations supporting communities with information and advice about financial resilience and debt advice, improving mental wellbeing, becoming more active, losing weight, healthy eating and reducing drug and alcohol use.

Community Alliance (CABEH) is a growing organisation with an ambition to support the voluntary sector achieve meaningful change across Broxbourne and East Herts.

Essential skills, experience and personal attributes:

• Experience of working or volunteering in a community setting.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team of paid staff and volunteers.
• Previous experience or a keen interest in supporting community health and wellbeing needs.
• Knowledge of issues affecting local communities and the VCFSE sector and other partners working to support community health and wellbeing.
