About the Role:
You will lead and coordinate community fundraising activity across the North Midlands and Scotland, driving income through events, challenges and supporter-led initiatives. Working closely with local supporters, groups and partners, you will ensure every interaction is well-managed, recorded and maximised for long-term engagement. This temporary role will have a direct impact on the charity’s ability to fund services and reach more people in need.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, deliver and evaluate a calendar of community fundraising events and activities across the North Midlands and Scotland.
* Support, steward and motivate individual fundraisers, community groups and corporate supporters to maximise their fundraising potential.
* Manage and update the CRM and donor database to ensure accurate recording of supporter interactions, income and event activity.
* Coordinate logistics for community events, including venues, materials, volunteer support and risk assessments.
* Develop tailored fundraising materials and communications to engage and retain community supporters.
* Provide timely, high-quality supporter care, responding to enquiries and ensuring a positive experience at every touchpoint.
* Monitor income and activity performance, producing regular reports and insights to inform future planning.
* Collaborate with internal teams to align community fundraising with wider campaigns and brand messaging.
Key Requirements:
* Proven experience in community fundraising or a closely related fundraising role.
* Demonstrable track record in planning, managing and delivering fundraising events and activities.
* Strong CRM and donor database management skills, with experience of maintaining accurate records and generating reports.
* Excellent relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and motivate a wide range of supporters.
* Strong organisational and time-management abilities, capable of managing multiple projects across a wide geographic area.
* High standard of written and verbal communication, with confident presentation skills.
* Ability to work on a hybrid basis with two days per week in Sheffield and travel across the North Midlands and Scotland as required.

The Communications and Programmes Officer will work with colleagues to support the delivery of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation UK Branch's strategy. This post will help deliver the UK Branch's communications activity and support the UK programme's grant-making and projects.
The UK Branch aims to strengthen arts and civil society ecosystems and emphasises transnational collaboration between Portugal (where the Foundation is headquartered) and the UK. Our grantmaking programme has three focus areas: arts opportunities, NGO capacity-building and climate-health. We fund and support partner organisations working in these areas and directly deliver projects in-line with our programme goals.
