Role summary
The Communications & Marketing Manager will manage the Ben Kinsella Trust's day-to-day communications, marketing and campaigning activity, helping to raise awareness of our work, engage key audiences and support the charity's objectives.
This is a hands-on role that combines communications, digital marketing, CRM management, data insight and project management. The postholder will plan, create and deliver content across the charity's channels, including email marketing, websites, social media and paid advertising, using data, testing and performance insight to continually improve engagement and impact.
A key part of the role is the effective use of the charity's CRM and digital systems to manage audience data, support segmentation, and strengthen the effectiveness of communications and campaigns. The postholder will be confident using digital tools and will actively identify opportunities to improve performance through SEO, automation, testing, analytics and other digital marketing techniques.
The Communications & Marketing Manager will also manage the delivery of public awareness campaigns, including Knife Crime Awareness Week, overseeing projects from planning through to evaluation and ensuring measurable outcomes. They will act as a gatekeeper for the Ben Kinsella Trust brand, ensuring consistent and high-quality communications. Through recruitment and line management of a Communications Officer, they will ensure our communications and marketing activity is consistently professional and on brand, increasing reach, engagement and impact.

The Pepper Foundation is a local charity funding children’s hospice care at home, specialised play and family days for children living with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions in Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire. The Community Fundraiser will be joining Pepper at an exciting time as we launch our new three-year fundraising strategy. Backed by committed investment and with full Board approval, we are delighted to be growing the charity to deliver sustainable income that directly supports local children and families with hospice care in the comfort of their own homes.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced relationship-builder to lead and grow community fundraising and challenge events activity, helping to raise vital income for The Pepper Foundation.
You will take ownership of a varied portfolio of community fundraising activity, building and developing relationships with volunteers, schools, clubs, local businesses and community groups, while also nurturing existing supporters and creating an excellent experience for everyone who engages with us. You will lead the day-to-day delivery of our community fundraising and challenge events activity, proactively identifying new opportunities, developing a strong pipeline of support and managing your portfolio to grow income and deepen engagement with The Pepper Foundation.
Hours: 30 hours per week (37.5hrs FTE) working from home - applicants must live within Hertfordshire or Buckinghamshire (or surrounding counties)
Salary: £25,600 pro-rata (£32,000 FTE)
Key Responsibilities:
Financial
• Deliver or exceed agreed income targets across community and challenge event fundraising activities.
• Manage agreed budgets for community fundraising activities and challenge events, monitoring income and expenditure and ensuring activity is delivered in line with agreed targets and plans.

• Use Donorfy, our fundraising CRM, to administer and manage fundraising activity accurately and effectively, working with the Database Volunteer as needed.

We are seeking a driven Marketing and Communications Officer with significant initiative and ability to influence through social digital content production.
In this role, you will execute the strategic direction of our communications, by expanding our reach through engaging, persuasive content. Using data analysis, the successful candidate will enhance engagement with the Nazareth Trust’s key audiences on our TNT supporter database.
You will support the Marketing and Communications Manager by researching and leveraging compelling stories that will engage and inspire activism and giving from our existing supporter database.

Casework is at the heart of everything Medical Justice does. We assist vulnerable people in immigration detention to access medical evidence. The evidence we produce forms the basis of our advocacy work to secure lasting change, including our research into the systemic failures in safeguarding and healthcare provision, the harm caused by these shortcomings, and the harmful effect of immigration detention itself on the health of those who are subjected to it.
As a Caseworker you will have your own caseload and be working directly with people in immigration detention, many of whom may be very unwell, traumatised and experiencing deterioration in their health. You will coordinate with our clinicians and, if clients have legal representation, their lawyers, to organise medical assessments. You will maintain communication with your clients throughout this process, acting as a key point of contact.
We are looking for an experienced caseworker, who can use their compassion and organisational skills to support clients in extremely vulnerable situations. We are looking for someone who has experience dealing with clients in crisis situations, who is resilient and able to manage complex, often traumatic, caseloads in a professional and empathetic way. You will play a key role in striving to ensure clients receive access to adequate healthcare and that they obtain high-quality independent medical evidence to progress their legal cases. As well as working as part of a small, dedicated team of caseworkers dealing with around 500 referrals a year.

Main Responsibilities
Promotion of FoCUS
· Encourage and enable people with experience of mental health services and carers to join FoCUS and to influence SABP’s services.
· Increase awareness of the benefits of user involvement and representation in building people’s confidence, sense of worth and self-esteem and in helping people to achieve greater social inclusion.
· Promote FoCUS to people who use SABP’s services and carers, across Surrey and Northeast Hampshire. Using a variety of communication and engagement methods including attending relevant outreach and community events with an exhibition stand or promotional materials.

· Provide a quarterly report on activities and membership to SABP.
Development of volunteer FoCUS Representatives
· Encourage FoCUS members to put themselves forward to become a volunteer FoCUS Representative, explaining the nature and commitment of the role.
· Work with FoCUS Representatives on plans for engagement in their Areas and to agree their individual level of involvement in promoting FoCUS. Help them prepare their respective contributions to their Community Group meetings.
· Organise and attend a quarterly meeting of the FoCUS Representatives to prepare contributions to FoCUS Committee meetings, and provide support as required.

Manchester Central Foodbank is a busy Trussell Trust-affiliated food bank, with centres in Central, North, and East Manchester. We were established in Ardwick in 2013 by students at the Manchester Universities’ Catholic Chaplaincy, making us the first student-led food bank in the country. Since then we have grown significantly, expanding our weekly sessions into Harpurhey and Openshaw.
Our core aims are to deliver the best quality support that we can to the largest number of our neighbours in need, while working with partners and influencing and organising at a neighbourhood and citywide level to reduce and end the need for food banks in Manchester.
We currently support 16,000 people per year with nutritionally balanced 3-day food parcels. This is double the number of people we supported in the first year following the Covid-19 pandemic, and four times the number supported in 2019. We also provide financial inclusion support with advice workers in public sessions, access to energy vouchers, SIM cards, and other voucher or material support. We coordinate across a network of 200 active front-line referral agencies with the aim of ensuring everyone who accesses our service has appropriate, specialised, and ongoing support alongside the material provision that we provide.

Key responsibilities
As Chief Executive Officer you will be the key senior staff leader for the charity. You will lead the team to ensure they have the resources, frameworks, and support to effect smooth day-to-day running of our frontline support service.
