We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Trusts and Grants Fundraiser to join our High Value Engagement Team to help us in our mission to tackle the devastation of Stroke.
Position: CE387 Trusts and Grants Manager
Location: Home-based, UK Nationwide. However, occasional travel will be required as part of this role (may include team meetings or other work-related meetings)

The Role
Reporting to the Head of Trusts and Grants, you’ll lead a mixed portfolio of high-value funders with the potential to give £50,000+. Your ultimate goal will be to build six-figure, long-term funding partnerships, ensuring every supporter feels valued, inspired and connected to our work.
Key responsibilities include:
· Driving significant income growth by meeting and exceeding agreed personal and team fundraising targets.
· Nurturing and developing existing five- and six-figure relationships with trusts and statutory funders.
· Identifying and cultivating new high value funding opportunities, working collaboratively with senior leaders and specialist colleagues across the organisation to inspire donations.
· Delivering exceptional stewardship, partnering with internal teams to create high-quality, impactful funding applications and meaningful progress reports that demonstrate impact.
· Undertaking insightful research into trusts and statutory funders to shape strategic, tailored approaches.

About the Role
As the Sponsorship Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and effective running of the sector leading Child Sponsorship product driving high levels of supporter satisfaction and long term loyalty. The Service User Network (SUN) is an innovative, community-based service providing open-access, facilitated peer support groups for people experiencing emotional difficulties, isolation, and unhelpful behavioural patterns. Based on therapeutic community principles, SUN actively involves members in running, developing, and evaluating the service.
Beyond support groups, SUN offers social events, focus groups, community meetings, and a regular newsletter, fostering a safe, empowering, and inclusive environment for members.
SUN has been recognised for its commitment to lived experience and staff wellbeing, holding the Gold Lived Experience Charter award and the Enabling Environments award from the Royal College of Psychiatrists. The service combines online and face-to-face provision, ensuring accessibility across Surrey and North East Hampshire.
The Role
The SUN facilitator with lived experience will be working closely with a SUN specialist clinician to deliver regular Service User Network (SUN) support groups in different community-based locations across Surrey and North East Hampshire.
SUN provides community-based, open access facilitated peer support groups and aims to help people develop effective ways of coping and improve their relationship with themselves and others.
As a SUN Facilitator, you will:
- C-deliver regular SUN support groups in the community, both face to face and online
- Work in collaboration with the co-facilitator and the SUN members, within support groups
- Use own lived experience of mental health problems associated with a diagnosis of personality disorder to support the development and knowledge of the service and wider services.
- Contribute to ensuring that any potential risk is being constantly assessed within a culture of positive risk taking and shared responsibility.
- Contribute to team supervision and business meetings and consider information regarding the safety and wellbeing of the people who access the service.
- Co-lead on different areas of the service on a rota basis, i.e., reporting, outreach, and member involvement.
- Actively engage in 1:1 check-ins and managerial supervisions.
SUN facilitators receive regular supervision and ongoing support to sustain this emotionally rewarding role.

- Personal lived experience of mental health issues associated with personality disorder
- Previous experience of working within a professional environment

You will be a forward-looking and collaborative Head of Philanthropy and Corporate Partnerships, a vital role as we enter an exciting new phase for the charity. As the Head of Philanthropy and Corporate Partnerships you will inspire, and lead, income generation from corporate partnerships and philanthropists. The Matthew Hackney Foundation is a small, registered charity (Charity No. 1208669) dedicated to improving access to emotional and mental health support for children and young people who would not otherwise be able to access counselling.
We currently provide funded, school-based counselling across 23 Surrey schools and support approximately 45 children, young people and their caregivers each week. We are proud of the strong, trusting relationships we have built with the schools we work with, all of whom provide appropriate, private spaces for counselling sessions. Session days and times are arranged collaboratively, with flexibility for our counsellors wherever possible.
The Role
This role is particularly well suited to newly qualified counsellors or therapists looking to build confidence, experience and regular school-based hours within a highly supportive charity setting.
We are delighted to invite one or more fully qualified Counsellors to join our small, passionate team on a self-employed basis, initially for the Summer Term 2025.
You will provide a minimum of 3 hours of counselling per week in one school. There is flexibility to take on additional paid hours, up to 6 hours per day and up to 5 days per week, delivered across different schools, depending on availability and funding. Placements typically run for up to 11 weeks, aligned with individual school terms.
You will need access to your own transport, as travel between schools may be required.

What's the role about?
In a time of constrained funding the primary responsibilities for this role include a significant focus on helping to identify and develop fundraising opportunities, supporting our various partners to build their own organisational fundraising capacity, and working to secure financing to deliver against a range of national and regional environmental priorities.
The Programme Manager will in addition lead and oversee several Caribbean-based RSPB project managers to ensure successful delivery of projects within the region and ensure that these contribute to impactful outcomes for species and habitats and delivery of the Strategic Outcomes of both the RSPB and our partners.

As Finance Manager, you’ll lead the day-to-day finance operations at B Lab UK, ensuring high-quality financial reporting, strong controls and effective oversight of transactional finance. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you’ll oversee our outsourced accounting service, manage our in-house Accounts Receivable function, and play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, audit and financial planning.
Working collaboratively as a strategic partner, you’ll help embed efficient and effective ways of working that support organisational growth, sustainability and impact.
What you’ll be doing
• Managing and liaising with our outsourced accounting service to ensure accurate and timely financial records.
• Overseeing invoicing, income collection and aged debt reporting.
• Preparing monthly management accounts, including analysis and narrative for budget-holders and the Leadership Team.
• Developing and maintaining financial procedures and controls to protect B Lab UK’s assets.
• Supporting financial planning, including budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling.
• Providing clear financial insight to support strategic and operational decision-making.
• Supporting the annual audit process and statutory accounts under Charity SORP.
• Line managing the Senior Finance Officer and Credit Controller, supporting their development and performance.
• Contributing to Finance & Operations projects, including systems and process improvements.
The kind of things we’re looking for…
• A qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent experience) who is committed to ongoing professional development and raising the bar in their practice.
• Strong experience preparing management accounts and confidently explaining financial information to non-finance colleagues in a clear, supportive way.
• Demonstrable experience establishing, improving and maintaining robust financial controls and processes.
• Experience of budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling, with an improvement-focused approach that looks beyond the status quo.
• A solid understanding of charity finance, including statutory accounts, VAT and audit processes (or the motivation and capability to develop this quickly).
• Proven ability to line manage and support a small team, bringing out the best in others and fostering collaboration.
• Strong communication skills, with the confidence and integrity to guide stakeholders through complex financial matters.
• An analytical, solutions-focused mindset, with experience developing systems or processes that help teams go further together.
• A clear commitment to justice, equity, diversity and inclusion, and to being a force for good through your work.

Introduction:
We are looking for an exceptional Programme Manager to join our UK Overseas Territories team to develop and manage an ongoing programme of international conservation projects in St Helena, Ascension, Tristan da Cunha and the Pitcairn Islands. Working closely with the RSPB’s network of territory partners the successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating the development of an ambitious portfolio of impactful projects conserving and protecting the unique biodiversity of these special islands.
What's the role about?
Your main duties will include:
- Facilitating the development, funding and implementation of a diverse programme of partner led projects including policy, species, habitats, science and capacity focused interventions
- Working closely with partners to ensure development and the successful delivery of projects and the ongoing development of organisational capacity.
- Define the RSPB role in supporting territory governments in identifying and prioritising impact focused recovery and conservation programming across the Southern Ocean UKOTs.
- Work with internal fundraising teams to identify new funding opportunities and to develop new projects and secure legacies/extensions to existing projects.
- Building and maintaining a network of stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Internally this will include: relevant Programme Boards, the Globally Threatened Species Nature Recovery Group, Leadership Teams, Heads of International Programmes, Conservation Science and Policy Colleagues
- Externally this will include: BirdLife Partners and other NGOs, UK and Territory Government Departments, Fund-raising bodies.
- Management of budgets (up to £1m p.a.)
- Reporting on progress through CORA
- Assisting the Head of UKOTs in running a Leadership Team to oversee the UKOT project pipeline and to maintain and build team morale and cohesion.
Essential skills, knowledge and experience:
We are looking for a professional, persuasive and engaging individual with an excellent understanding of programme management and the development and funding of compelling, high impact projects. They should have the skills and personality to be able to bring together dynamic teams and lead cross-organization collaborations.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following experience:
- Educated to degree level.
- An ability to lead, inspire and influence a wide range of people, both internally and externally.
- Extensive experience of international partner led conservation delivery
- Demonstrated background of managing multifaceted projects and programmes in complex settings with immovable deadlines.
- Experience of line-management. Including H&S procedures for international work.
- Proven ability to manage budgets up to £1m p.a.
- Proven ability to secure external funding for projects through grant applications and especially governments and other institutional funding. Experience of the Darwin funding mechanisms of particular relevance.
- Experience of partner development working with small international NGOs to increase their capacity.
- Experience of working with UK and International government departments and ministries.
- Experience of managing contracts with partners or contractors.
- Excellent networking skills and experience of facilitative leadership.
- Knowledge of Project and Programme Management Frameworks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Competent IT user including MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint SharePoint and CORA.
Desirable skills, knowledge and experience:
- Experience of working in the UK Overseas Territories
- An ability to make occasional International trips. Although most of these would result in periods of up to two weeks away from home the extremely isolated locations of some of the territories may require longer timeframes away.
