About the role:
This role involves providing information, support and advice, particularly around welfare benefits, housing and learning disabilities, to Carers through one-to-one appointments, case work, and group facilitation.
Key Responsibilities Include:

Providing advice and advocacy on welfare benefits and housing. Minimum of 3 days a week.

Providing information, support and advocacy to Carers of people with Learning Disabilities.

Facilitation of the Learning Disability Carers Peer Support Group.

Recording and maintaining accurate case records, adhering to AQS standards.

Brief role description
Working within our Communications team, you will play a central role in strengthening the charity’s public profile by supporting the delivery of media activity across national, regional, trade and specialist media that showcase the impact of the charity’s services. Who we're looking for
We're looking for an experienced communications, PR or media professional with a proven track record of securing coverage across print, broadcast and online media. You'll have experience working in a press office, communications or journalism environment and be confident handling media enquiries and building positive relationships with journalists and other stakeholders.
You'll be a strong writer who can produce engaging press releases, statements, media briefings and other content for a range of audiences. You'll have a good understanding of what makes a compelling news story, experience creating impactful content, and the ability to turn complex information into clear and engaging communications. You'll also be comfortable using media monitoring and evaluation to understand what is working and help shape future activity.

Role: Executive Assistant

Job Purpose
The Executive Assistant will provide administrative and internal and external stakeholder management support to the Executive Director. The role will also provide some support to the Director of Finance and Administration, and the wider team.

Responsibilities
- Support the ED to align time, attention and decision-making with organisational priorities, ensuring focus on high-impact work.
- Provide diary support to the Executive Director, including coordination of meetings, focus-time, effective travel planning, and other cross-team calendar management.
- Provide inbox management support to the Executive Director, assisting with task and diary prioritisation.
- Provide administrative support to the Executive Director, including travel bookings, expense reporting, and credit card statement reconciliations.
- Act as the first point of contact for the organization, including monitoring and responding to email inbox.
- Provide a liaison point between the ED and senior leaders, staff, and external stakeholders, ensuring timely follow-up, actions, and clear communication.

Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience in executive assistant roles (essential), ideally with some experience and understanding of an NGO or Not For Profit working environment.
- Alongside required professional experience, proven relevant training courses and certifications will be advantageous, e.g. IEAA, Prince 2 or equivalent.
- Excellent computer skills, including confident proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Outlook, Powerpoint and Excel.
- Demonstrable experience in project delivery and project management methods.
- Some previous experience of events planning and management is preferred.
- Ability to represent Oceana UK in a professional, diplomatic, and responsive manner.

About the role

Each year about one thousand seven hundred and fifty people die as a result of road collisions on the UK’s roads. This represents an enormous loss. Each person killed or injured will be someone’s parent, partner, child, a favourite relative or best friend.
At the Road Victims Trust, we help provide effective, personal support to those affected by death or life changing injuries resulting from road collisions is a significant issue.
We seek to provide support for the bereaved and people otherwise affected by road death or life changing injuries, who are resident in Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire.
Purpose of the Role
To develop and manage corporate partnerships that generate income and raise awareness of the Road Victims Trust, while representing the organisation externally and supporting its presence across key networks and platforms.

Key responsibilities

Support the Grants Manager to deliver our evolving grants and capacity building provision to the youth sector; bringing together our work to ensure a streamlined offer

The physical effects of the disease are brutal, but the social effects are even worse. Severe stigma means that people can be thrown out of their families and communities. Rejected and isolated, they are left with no opportunities and no hope. This is not how God wants people affected by leprosy to live. Our work aims to restore life in all its fullness.
The Leprosy Mission (TLM) is the world’s largest leprosy-focused organisation, a pioneer in our field, with 152 years’ experience serving people affected by this disease. We work in nine countries across Africa and Asia.
TLM is a Christian charity, serving people of all faiths and none. You will represent the Mission’s purpose and ethos to external audiences. In this role you will pray with supporters, team members, and people overseas. You’ll also produce Christian communications.
