The new CEO will need to combine strategic leadership with operational grip. They will need the judgement to lead a complex, emotionally sensitive charity and bring the credibility to build relationships across the care sector.

The successful candidate will lead the next phase of organisational development, with a particular focus on sustainable growth, quality of service delivery and financial resilience.

Reporting to the Chair and working closely with the Board, this is a hands-on role, balancing vision with delivery.

Sitting within the Digital Solutions team, the Technical Operations Analyst makes sure the technology that underpins the movement works as it should. You’ll be the day-to-day operator of the Microsoft tech stack, the first port of call for staff and volunteer tech queries, and the bridge between Scripture Union and its third-party technology partners.

In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to:

• Own and improve our core digital platforms, keeping cloud services, collaboration tools and file sharing running smoothly

Coin Street Nursery is seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to join our friendly and dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who takes pride in creating fresh, nutritious meals from scratch and is committed to promoting healthy eating for young children.

After the formation of a new government in Wales, this role will be working closely with politicians, government officials, sector leads, and people with lived experience of homelessness to ensure Crisis’ goal of ending all forms of homelessness in Wales is a priority and bring about the changes needed to meet this goal.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have excellent knowledge and experience of developing and securing policy change at a national government level and raising the profile of an organisation through advocacy and strategic communications.

Ideally you will have experience across policy, public affairs and media work, and excel at building stakeholder relations. You will be an experienced spokesperson and understand how to communicate policy matters in a simple and concise way. You will have understanding and knowledge of developing policy and influencing objectives informed by frontline staff and working with people with lived experience of an issue and staff.

Can you tell a great story?

Hope into Action is an inspiring story.  It starts with a couple, Ed and Rach Walker, who decide to use £30,000 of their own money to buy a house for people who were homeless in Peterborough in 2010.  And from this seed, an organisation has grown which 16 years later has 134 houses and has seen over £34 million invested in homes for people who were homeless.

Hope into Action is a story of how faith in God has been put into action and led to resources being shared, new relationships being formed and people’s lives being transformed.

Last year we housed over 500 people who had been homeless. Each of those individuals has a story to share of how Hope into Action has helped them. This is the story we want to share.

The Communications & Engagement Lead is responsible for implementing Hope into Action’s communications and engagement strategy. Working closely with the CEO, they will be responsible for telling the Hope into Action story and driving increased engagement with our vision for every church in the UK to be engaged in ending homelessness.

At least 50% of the role is harvesting stories from around our Network to create engaging content which expresses our vision and mission. We want someone who can be both responsive and strategic. To hear a story from our frontline workers and be able to share it on our website and social media later that day – whilst also working towards the longer term goal of more people in the UK being aware of our work and its impact.

You will lead a high-performing team (4 direct reports) and volunteers to grow sustainable restricted and unrestricted income, strengthen supporter and partner relationships, and raise the organisation’s profile across Hampshire and beyond.

Working closely with the Director of Development, Engagement and IT, you will develop and deliver annual plans for income generation, communications and marketing. Working with your team, you will use insight, strong relationship-building and compelling, service user-informed storytelling to increase engagement, generate leads, improve awareness of mental health, and support more people to access Solent Mind’s services.

Hours: Full-time or part-time, 30 to 37 hours per week.

Location: Southampton, combined with home working.

About you

You will bring strong leadership experience in fundraising, communications and marketing, with a track record of delivering income growth, developing successful campaigns and building long-term relationships with funders, donors, partners and stakeholders. You will be an excellent communicator, confident using digital channels and CRM systems, and comfortable managing budgets, targets and performance reporting.

About the role

This is an exciting and varied, relationship-focused role within a successful corporate partnerships team. Working with the Head of Corporate and Employer Partnerships, you’ll help manage partner relationships, develop funding proposals, track income, and identify new business opportunities to support strategic growth.

Person Specification

• A practising Christian, passionate about personally representing the values and beliefs of Spear, and our mission to equip and support young people facing barriers to employment.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, establish effective processes and structures, and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
• Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport and engage effectively with people from a wide range of backgrounds and professional levels.

Martin House has been caring for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions from West, North and East Yorkshire for more than 30 years. Every year we care for more than 550 families at our hospice in Boston Spa, in hospitals and in their own homes. We also support more than 200 bereaved families each year.
