The Role
Having launched our Youth Adventure Programmes in Somerset in 2024, we are now looking for somebody who wants to take the next step in their fundraising career to build on the foundations of the last two years and significantly increase our presence in the county.
As our Regional Corporate Fundraiser, you'll be the driving force behind our local business partnerships, working with both large companies operating in the region and smaller local businesses looking to support their communities.
Your role will encompass:

Relationship building: Identifying and securing new corporate partnerships while providing high-quality stewardship to our existing Somerset-based supporters.

Community Engagement: Championing our work in Somerset by giving engaging talks to community groups and networking with local businesses.

Event delivery: Playing a key role in delivering local fundraising challenge events, the bi-annual Somerset Adventure Dinner and developing new opportunities to unite the Somerset business community behind our mission.
You'll work closely with the Corporate Partnership Manager and the Director of Fundraising and Communications to ensure each proposal is bespoke and every corporate partner understands the impact of their support on local young people. You must live in Somerset, have a good local awareness and be willing to travel around the county and beyond to nurture long-lasting, strategic relationships.

The Charity
At the Youth Adventure Trust, we use outdoor adventure to empower vulnerable young people from Swindon, Wiltshire and Somerset to fulfil their potential and lead positive lives in the future. We work with them to build resilience, develop confidence and learn skills that will last a lifetime, helping them to face the challenges in their lives. Dedicated support, guidance and mentoring from our staff and volunteers ensures young people receive the maximum benefit from our long-term intervention. All our services are provided completely free of charge to the young people who are nominated by schools and other youth organisations to take part.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a creative and dynamic person with a proven track record in creating, delivering and managing digital content across social media platforms to develop, implement and manage strategies to grow our online presence and raise our profile.
You’ll have demonstrable experience across a wide range of social media platforms with the ability to craft engaging content to build a rapport with your audience while continuing to uphold our brand and professional values. You will be managing multiple accounts held by the charity.
You will have experience of using third party management tools to create, plan and schedule content, analysing reach and engagement, and using analytical tools to help make informed decisions about our digital marketing strategies. You will regularly report back to the management team feeding into our wider strategy discussions, making recommendations on future campaigns.
You will be part of a wider communications team, working alongside the PR & Communications Manager, reporting to one of the trustees, fostering an organisation-wide approach working with all colleagues to ensure a planned, structured and collaborative approach to our communications and marketing planning.
As a small charity, flexibility is key to meet the needs of our shifting priorities and in between delivering and managing social media content – your primary focus – you will additionally support wider marketing activities with creation of digital content to support charity advertising, support the development of our online (web) content and more general activities across the communications team. While there will be some level of existing experience, training will be provided for anything bespoke.
As part of the role, you will help our UK-based volunteers to develop local social media activities and support them as required. This may involve making recommendations in their approach, supporting content creation and upskilling them to gain confidence in using social media.

We are looking for a strategic and hands-on Senior Fundraising Manager to lead our next phase of income growth. As our first dedicated fundraising leadership role, you will develop and deliver a multi-year income strategy, strengthen existing income streams, and identify new opportunities to diversify and grow our fundraising.

About the role
We are excited to be recruiting a Technical Project Manager to join our Technology directorate on a 12-month fixed term maternity cover contract.

You will work closely with delivery partners, internal stakeholders and governance forums to ensure projects are delivered to scope, budget and timeline.
You will be confident operating within both Agile and Waterfall methodologies and experienced in using tools such as Azure DevOps, MS Project or Asana to manage plans, risks and deliverables. You will also understand that successful delivery is not only about systems, but about people, adoption and sustainable change.

Your new role
As the Senior Tax Manager, you will take the lead on all day-to-day tax matters across a variety of tax areas, primarily VAT (partial exemption) and SDLT. As a Grant Programme Manager, you will oversee a multi-country grant portfolio, ensure strong financial stewardship, drive performance against strategic targets and strengthen partnerships with programme partners and donors.
Responsibilities
We are seeking a motivated Grant Programme Manager to join our Global Programmes team within GIF. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a complex grant portfolio and ensuring effective delivery, financial oversight and strategic alignment.
- Oversee and manage a portfolio of Small Farm Fund projects across multiple countries, ensuring delivery against BCI strategy and BCSS targets.
- Lead grant application and assessment processes, including reviewing proposals, analysing organisational viability and contributing to funding recommendations.
- Ensure effective financial stewardship of donor funds, reviewing budgets, tracking expenditure and identifying risks or corrective actions where required.
- Monitor and evaluate portfolio performance, ensuring robust data quality, learning integration and continuous improvement.
- Represent GIF in internal governance forums, including the Field Investment and Innovation Committee, contributing to funding decisions and strategic discussions.
- Engage with donors and external stakeholders, supporting reporting, relationship management and future funding opportunities.
- Support Large Farm Fund and Knowledge Partner Fund rounds, including assessment, monitoring and stakeholder engagement.
- Strengthen grant management systems and processes, identifying and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency, compliance and transparency.
- Collaborate closely with country programme teams, MEL colleagues and finance teams to ensure coordinated delivery and alignment across functions.

Experience
We are looking for candidates with the following skills, knowledge and experience:
- Degree in Agronomy, International Development, Anthropology or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex grant or project portfolios within rural development or sustainability contexts.
- Experience working with commercial and institutional donors, including proposal development and reporting.
- Strong financial oversight experience, including reviewing budgets and financial performance.
- Experience using MEL frameworks, logframes and performance monitoring tools.
- Willingness to travel for project visits twice a year (trips of between 7-10 days), and up to 2 trips per year for team/organisational meetings in Europe. If the successful applicant is based in one of our programme countries ie. CDI, India or Pakistan, the number of project visits would be greater.
