Who are Plus Services?
Plus is one of the most respected Learning Disability and Autism Charities in London with a proud history stretching back more than 30 years. We have an amazing team that is dedicated to supporting people to live their best possible lives and we have literally changed people’s worlds with the support we have provided.
Our Client Group is quite varied and during the recruitment process you would be specifically recruited to work with those that your personality, skills and experience would fit best with. Some have really challenging behaviour, but unless you had the capability to best serve those people you would be assigned to a different group. So, there is no need to worry about being out of your depth.
We also provide industry leading training and on-going support, so rest assured you will be ready for anything the job throws at you. I cannot promise you it will be easy, but I can promise you it will be worth it. And when you go home you will know you have made a massive difference and the world is a slightly better place as a result of your efforts.
Who are you?
You are a caring, compassionate and capable individual? You could be either already working within Social Care or are thinking about joining the sector. We recognise everyone, regardless of their personal history, talents, abilities and unique personal qualities
What does matter is you must care and you must want to enhance the lives of the people who we support and rely on us.
You will need to be comfortable spending large amounts of your day one-to-one with the Service Users, there is no leaping from client to client here with 15 minute blocks. You will need to be happy supporting people to learn new skills and become independent. And you will need to thrive on taking people out into the big wide world, expanding their horizons, bringing a smile to their faces and adding a spring in to their step.
To be considered for the role you will need to be able to:
• Do your share of weekend shifts, sleep-ins, waking nights and bank holidays.
• Be physically fit and able to move freely and physically and to support service users who may be physically dependent.
• Have a supportive attitude and want to help individuals to maximise their lives.
• You must be able to support people with Learning Disabilities who have different ways of expressing themselves
• Be eligible to work in the UK
In return we offer opportunities for professional development and real job satisfaction. We can help you to develop your professional skills and knowledge and progress toward recognised qualifications such as Diploma in Adult & Social Care levels 3/4/5.

Background information
About us:
National Voices is the leading coalition of health and social care charities in England. We have more than 200 members covering a diverse range of health conditions and communities, connecting us with the experiences of millions of people. We work together to strengthen the voice of patients, people with Lived Experience, unpaid carers, their families and the voluntary organisations that work for them.
Our mission:
We advocate for a more equitable and person-centred health and care, shaped by the people who use and need it the most.
We do this by:
- Understanding and advocating for what matters to people, especially those living with health conditions and groups who experience inequalities
- Finding common cause across communities and conditions by working with member charities and those they support
- Connecting and convening charities, decisions makers and citizens to work together to change health and care for good.
Our five-year strategy:
In September 2024 we published a new five-year strategy that was co-produced with our staff, our member charities, our Lived Experience Partners and our key stakeholders. This set out three clear goals:
- End unequal access
By addressing the barriers experienced by those facing the worst outcomes, we will find solutions that improve care for all.
- Transfer power to people and communities
As a leader in co-production, we will help communities to work with system leaders at national and neighbourhood level to make big decisions together. This will maximise the skills and capabilities of patients, ensuring care is truly person-centred.
- Shift the measures of success
By campaigning for better patient experience and outcomes metrics, we can ensure that what matters to people becomes the key measure of success for the NHS.
In the first two years of the strategy we have already made big strides. For example, our work encouraging the Government to focus on “getting the basics right” has seen major policy initiatives designed to fix access to primary care and the 8am rush. Similarly, our work on the experience of waiting for elective care has seen the introduction of the first ever set of minimum standards for waiting.
Our work on the 10 Year Plan, and on the Quality Strategy, has also seen both patient experience and outcome measures given much greater prominence in how the NHS judges success and National Voices has now been commissioned by NHS England to help design the future of patient feedback mechanisms.
We have also successfully campaigned for funding formulas to be revised to enable the NHS to directly address the inverse care law and tackle the impact of health inequalities head on.
But there are challenges ahead, not least the role patients and communities play directly in co-producing improvement. With ICBs under huge financial pressures, and so much change in the health and care system, we need to make sure every piece of work we deliver is of the highest quality and adds real value. This is the only way to help others across the sector understand the value that people with Lived Experience offer to problem solving processes and creating better and more inclusive solutions.

Head of Organisational Strategy and Operations (known internally as Infrastructure Lead) is a senior strategic leadership role within Healing Justice Ldn, working closely alongside the Executive Director to help shape and steward the organisational infrastructure, systems, and coordination practices needed for HJL’ s next phase of development.
The role exists to strengthen the connective infrastructure that enables HJL’ s organisational arms to operate autonomously while remaining aligned, collaborative, sustainable, and responsive within rapidly changing political, social, and movement landscapes.
Rather than focusing primarily on operational administration or hierarchical management, the role centres on developing values-aligned systems, organisational practices, and ways of working that support collective care, adaptability, organisational health, and long-term sustainability. Working across programmes, research, narrative strategy, operations, and leadership, the post holder will support communication, coordination, learning, and organisational coherence across the organisation while strengthening distributed leadership.
This role would suit someone who has previously held senior leadership responsibility across multiple organisational areas within a values-led, justice-oriented, community-based, or movement environment. As a newly created role within an evolving organisational structure, the responsibilities, focus, and ways of working within the role may continue to develop over time in response to organisational learning, growth, and changing needs.
Responsibilities
Organisational stewardship & coordination
Infrastructure & organisational development
Organisational sustainability & external relationships (Operational sustainability)
Organisational health, risk and resilience (Risk, Resilience & Infrastructure)

About Healing Justice Ldn
Healing Justice Ldn (HJL) is a community-led organisation working at the intersections of health justice, collective care, healing, and systems change. Rooted in disability justice, transformative practice, and liberation work, HJL develops community-led approaches to wellbeing that address the structural impacts of racism, ableism, state violence, and inequality.
Through research, training, political education, movement support, and healing practice, HJL works to build the infrastructures, relationships, and capacities needed for long-term collective resilience and liberation. The organisation supports communities, organisers, practitioners, and movements to develop sustainable approaches to health, care, and social transformation.
HJL operates through an evolving organisational model centred around autonomy, connection, collaboration, and collective stewardship. Different organisational “ arms ” hold distinct areas of practice while remaining connected through shared values, coordination structures, and relational infrastructure.
As HJL enters a new phase of organisational development, there is an increasing need for organisational infrastructure, systems, governance, and connective coordination that can support sustainable growth while remaining responsive and accountable within rapidly changing political, social, and movement landscapes.
