We are seeking a proactive, forward-thinking, part-qualified or qualified accountant to lead the development of an efficient, AI-assisted finance function for the charity. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be part of Home-Start Southwark and Lewisham's senior leadership team, in the only finance-focussed role within the team, taking ownership of the organisation's financial systems, reporting, and compliance — and critically, you will have the opportunity to strategically shape how finance operates over the next 6–12 months.

You will have the rare opportunity to shape the tools, processes, and reporting frameworks from the ground up, working directly with the CEO to make finance a strategic enabler rather than an administrative burden.

Location: UK-Med Office, Manchester, UK (hybrid working) with an expectation of approximately 15% international travel/deployment, as required by UK-Med.
Want to put humanitarian crises on the front pages and shape the global conversation when it matters the most?
UK-Med is looking for an exceptional Media Manager to lead our press office and secure high-impact media coverage that brings the realities of humanitarian emergencies to audiences across the UK and beyond. UK-Med is a frontline medical aid charity. Born of the NHS, we’ve been working for over 30 years
towards a world where everyone has the healthcare they need when crises or disasters hit.
In the past 12 months, UK-Med has attracted significant media attention for our emergency responses in Gaza, Ukraine and around the world. Our work has featured as the lead story on BBC News at Six and Ten, across national and regional television and radio, on the front pages of national newspapers, on BBC Radio 4's Today programme, and in leading UK and international media outlets.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Fundraising & Communications team at a pivotal moment in UK-Med’s growth and reputation as the UK’s official Emergency Medical Team. As Media Manager, you will lead our media relations strategy, build strong relationships with journalists, identify opportunities to raise our profile, and ensure our stories reach the audiences that matter.
This is a high-profile role in a fast-paced, creative team where no two days are the same. You'll thrive under pressure, exercise sound judgement, and respond confidently to breaking news and media enquiries while helping colleagues tell powerful stories from some of the world's most challenging humanitarian crises.
You will lead the Press Office, acting as the first point of contact for media enquiries and ensuring requests are managed quickly, professionally and directed to the appropriate spokesperson.
We're looking for an outstanding communicator with excellent writing skills, a strong understanding of the UK media landscape, and the confidence to advise senior leaders and colleagues at every level on media engagement and reputation.
We offer a competitive salary and benefits along with a friendly working environment and the opportunity to make a real difference through humanitarian work.

Change lives, shape communities and unlock funding for projects that make a real difference.
We're looking for an exceptional bid writer and funding specialist to help bring ambitious ideas to life across North Wales.
This isn't a typical fundraising role. At Groundwork North Wales, every successful application helps create greener places, stronger communities, new opportunities and lasting positive change for people and the environment. As our Business Development Officer, you'll be at the heart of turning ideas into reality. Working with passionate colleagues across a wide range of environmental, heritage and community projects, you'll identify funding opportunities, develop compelling bids and secure the investment needed to deliver meaningful impact across the region.
We're looking for someone who loves the challenge of crafting persuasive funding applications, building relationships with funders and spotting opportunities that others might miss. You'll combine strong research skills, attention to detail and excellent writing ability to help secure grants, trusts and tender opportunities that support our mission for People, Places and Planet.
In return, you'll join a supportive and purpose-driven organisation where your work has visible, tangible results. Every funding success will help deliver projects that improve local environments, celebrate heritage, support communities and create a more sustainable future.
Based at our Wrexham office, this role offers full or part-time hours (minimum 21 hours per week), flexibility to support work-life balance, and the opportunity to make a genuine difference through your professional expertise.
If you're an experienced fundraiser, bid writer or business development professional looking for a role with purpose, we'd love to hear from you.
