An exciting opportunity has arisen for a House Unit Manager, Residential to join our Nursing and Quality Team. This role will require the successful candidate to be accountable, alongside a team of Clinical Leads and Deputy House Managers, for leading and managing a team of nursing and care staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality care to children and young people.
You will be the lead professional responsible for coordinating the overall care and management of the children across a minimum of three Residential Houses and be the key contact for the family and multidisciplinary team.

Role Requirements
· In collaboration with the Placement Managers, you will ensure care is appropriately planned and resourced, and you will ensure care is delivered in a safe manner at all times.
· You will be responsible for ensuring that the care in the Houses enables the children to access rehabilitation sessions, clinics, education and leisure activities as scheduled in their timetable.
· You will work as part of a leadership team comprising of a House Unit Manager, 4 x Deputy House Managers / Deputy Clinical Leads and 4 x Clinical Leads.
With experience of working in a complex environment, across a large and diverse workforce, you will be exceptionally organised with a high-level of attention to detail. You will naturally possess excellent inter-personal skills, and an ability to consult and positively engage with key stakeholders across the organisation.

Flexible working

We support flexible and agile working. This role is London-based, with an expectation of working from our Central Office or one of our services at least 2 days per week to support collaboration, leadership, training and relationship-building. Due to the nature of the role, you will also work across different London and regional services and be expected to spend a significant part of your time our engaging with colleagues and clients in our services.
Our Central Office is currently located in Tower Hill, with a plan to relocate to a new space in Farringdon in summer 2026.

About the role

The Senior Health Organiser will be primarily responsible for commissioning the delivery of health supporting activities and positioning our organisation to become a centre for innovation in health equity and community-led approaches to health creation.

The aim of this work isn’t for Pembroke House to be commissioned by the state, but for us to support a flourishing community that traditional healthcare systems can respond and adapt to.
We’ve done a lot – from partnering with the South London and Maudsley NHS mental health trust on community-connections, to opening the Walworth Living Room with support from Impact on Urban Health, and resident-led research through our recent Social Model of Health work.
Today, the Walworth Living Room is home to a range of programmes that build community health through ranging from collaging, to fitness classes to shared meals. And it’s embedded in our wider-organising for a just neighbourhood – with a particular focus on food and housing.
We’re now looking for an inspiring individual to take this work to the next level, working with partners in and around Walworth to build and curate a programme that positions the Walworth Living Room as a pioneering centre for community-led health.

Who we’re looking for:
You will be passionate about a vision of health that starts with community and addresses the systemic barriers to health.
You will be a natural organiser, with the ability to build wide-ranging relationships and alliances with community groups and organisations who are working on programmes that build community health. Ideally, you will already have relationships with these types of organisations in and around Walworth.
You will be a well-organised person who has experience with all stages of event and activity delivery, from planning, to logistics, to delivery, to evaluation and monitoring, and can ensure activities are delivered well from start to finish. You will have the ability to manage multiple streams of work simultaneously, keeping projects with different deadlines on track.
You will have experience working in low-income/working class communities and communities of colour. You’ll be someone who does not approach this work from a “saviour” viewpoint, but someone who respects the experience and expertise in the community, and who is keen to work alongside community members and the staff team to plan work that reflects the interests of the people who use the WLR. You will care as much about the process of planning and as you do about the events themselves.
You will also understand the structure of the NHS locally and will be a credible and challenging voice in the ‘traditional’ health system, able to translate the work of the WLR and the interests of the NHS.

The role
The Events Assistant will support our Engagement Officers in the day-to-day coordination and delivery of the events and outreach, such as our Fellas’ Forums and Fellas’ Fairs. Working alongside the Engagement Officer, Engagement Manager, Office Administrator, and wider team, they will assist in the promotion, organisation, facilitation, and evaluation of events and engagement activities, including large-scale events.
They will support a range of administrative and practical tasks, demonstrating strong organisational skills, the ability to multitask, and confidence in completing delegated responsibilities. Key Responsibilities:
1. Training and Development
- Collaborate with Learning and Development Lead and Practice Team to ensure training programs are inclusive, accessible, and responsive to the needs of diverse communities.
- Use adult learning principles to design and deliver creative, innovative, and bespoke training solutions aligned with local demand, strategic priorities, and funding requirements.
- Will deliver training through online learning systems, including learning management systems (LMS), virtual training tools, and e-learning platforms.
- Develop and apply robust quality assurance and evaluation processes for all training activities. Collect feedback, analyse outcomes, and implement improvements where required.
- Deliver both internal and external training sessions across TLC subject areas.
- Coordinate and facilitate job specific inductions for new starters, ensuring all staff receive ongoing professional development in line with the TLC training plan.
- Apply coaching and training expertise to support internal staff development and wellbeing.
- Work alongside Learning and Development Lead and Practice Teams to manage the online learning system, maintaining accurate and up to date records of mandatory and CPD training.
- Identify, design, and implement appropriate training programs in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external training providers.
- Partner with the Head of Practice and Safeguarding, as well as the Marketing Team, to ensure clear and effective communication around all internal and external training programs.
2. Income Generation
- Support the Learning and Development Lead to collaborate with TLC’s Development Team to identify and apply for funding opportunities to expand and enhance training services.
- Following successful funding applications, plan, deliver, and monitor training programs in line with funding agreements and outcomes.
3. Quality Assurance
- Support the Head of Practice and Safeguarding, and the Learning and Development Lead, in maintaining high quality standards and compliance with accreditation frameworks.
- Contribute to achieving and maintaining accredited quality awards through ongoing monitoring, review, and implementation of quality action plans.
- Work with the Operations Team to collect and analyse customer feedback and reviews, using insights to support continuous improvement, funding applications, and marketing initiatives.
- Support the Learning and Development Lead in ensuring all policies, procedures, and training materials are in place to support staff, volunteers, and placements, including induction and ongoing learning.
4. Partnership and Community Engagement
- Represent TLC at partnership meetings and events to promote training and development services.
- Support the Marketing and Communications Team in promoting services, sharing information, and engaging the local community through social media and other communication channels.
- Actively contribute to raising the profile of TLC through collaboration, partnership working, and effective promotion of training opportunities.
General
Partake in evening and weekend work as required. Support the designated safeguarding lead to ensure all staff, volunteers, trustees and students at TLC understand that safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. Ensure adherence to policies mandatory training, reporting concerns, and compliance to protect children and adults at risk.

About this role:
This role is a new position beginning in April 2026, as part of the new Croydon Mental Health Partnership pilot programme (MHP) led by Croydon Voluntary Action. The MHP is part of the Building Brighter Futures (BBF) initiative funded by the Maudsley Charity. Reaching Higher is one of the BBF consortium members.
Main purpose of this role:
The Co-ordinator will provide early, relational, trauma-informed interventions for young people (15–19) presenting with mild–moderate emotional wellbeing, mental health, and social needs.
This role will deliver timely engagement (contact within 72 hours), needs-based assessments, short-term support, and warm handovers into the most appropriate pathway across the BBF consortium, avoiding duplication and repeated storytelling. The role is central to the front-door and allocations model, ensuring young people receive the right support, at the right time, from the right organisation.
This new role is perfect for someone who is looking to grow their skills in partnership working, including building partnerships between statutory services and the voluntary sector, while making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people.
