Salford CVS is looking for a Development Worker (Violence Reduction) to support a community-led programme in Little Hulton, working alongside young people, residents and local organisations to identify priorities, shape solutions and drive positive change.

Main purposes of the post
To support the delivery of the community-led violence reduction programme in Salford, working with young people, communities and VCSE partners in Little Hulton.
The Greater Manchester Combined Authority and Greater Manchester Violence Reduction Unit worked with 10GM, other VCSE providers and local communities to co-design our approach to a community-led violence reduction programme. The programme is one of the Violence Reduction Unit’s flagship projects across Greater Manchester and is in line with the ambitions of the Greater Manchester Violence Reduction Strategy and Public Service Reform programme to involve communities to identify priorities, problem solve and direct investment and interventions accordingly. In Salford, the programme will be delivered within Little Hulton.
Hours: Part-time, 18.75 hours per week.
Days: To be confirmed (core hours are worked between 8am – 6pm, Monday to Friday).
Contract: 1-year fixed-term contract, subject to the successful completion of a 3-month probationary period.
Place of work: Salford CVS’ offices in Eccles and within Little Hulton.

Role Overview
The Assistant Finance Manager supports the Deputy CEO in delivering a high-quality finance function. This role will lead CAFOD’s policy and advocacy work aimed at building a fairer global financial system. The post holder will have a solid understanding of contemporary global economic issues, including the global debt crisis, development finance and the workings of international multilateral organisations. Working closely with CAFOD’s overseas partners and within UK and global networks, this role will hold policy expertise on behalf of the organisation. This will involve developing policy positions and representing the organisation externally. The role will work closely with CAFOD’s government relations and campaigns colleagues to lobby decision-makers and mobilise supporters as part of our economic justice work. Sitting within the Advocacy, Policy & Campaigns team, the role is managed by the head of department.
Key Responsibilities
Leading the development and delivery of CAFOD’s global economic justice advocacy strategy
Working in partnership with UK and global organisations to develop evidence‑based policy positions
Influencing UK, regional and global policy debates on the global debt crisis, and other economic justice issues
Representing CAFOD in coalitions, to decision makers, in church networks and at international forums
Writing policy briefings, reports and communication outputs
Building relationships with external stakeholders and decision makers and UK and global levels
Ensuring advocacy is grounded in strong analysis, partner experience and a commitment to social and environmental justice
Supporting advocacy work of partners and global networks on debt cancellation and financial system reform
Providing strategic and technical advice across the organisation
Any other relevant duties reasonably required

Chief Executive Officer
The Pituitary Foundation is currently seeking a new CEO to lead the organisation in its mission to support and inform people living with pituitary conditions.
The role involves leading the vision mission and strategic aims of the charity, translating them into operational goals and plans. The CEO will also lead, mentor and guide the senior team, and work closely with the Board of Trustees to formulate and deliver the organisation’s strategic direction.
The position requires excellent interpersonal skills, financial acumen and an appetite for seeing the best possible service delivered to a wide demographic.
