About Ignite Life

Ignite Life is a small, grassroots charity based in Bristol that aims to support young people and families overcome adversity through three services: youth counselling, youth 1:1 mentoring and a community food bank. It was founded in 2019 to plug the gaps in provision for vulnerable young people at risk of slipping through the net.

About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity for an organised and motivated individual to play a key role in supporting the sustainability and growth of Ignite Life’s services.

The successful candidate will lead on fundraising activities, helping to secure income through grants, trusts and foundations, corporate partnerships and community fundraising initiatives. They will also contribute to monitoring and demonstrating the impact of our services, ensuring funders and stakeholders can see the difference that their support makes.

Alongside fundraising responsibilities, the successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day coordination of our food bank service, working closely with volunteers, community partners and service users to ensure that the service operates effectively and responds to local need.

• Identifying, drafting and submitting bids for fundraising and grants.

Skills, Knowledge and Capabilities

Essential:

• Experience of supporting charity fundraising activities, community events, income generation or grant applications.
• Strong written communication skills which can be transferrable to writing clear monitoring reports and funding applications.
• Experience coordinating projects, events, volunteers, or community activities.
• Good organisational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to build positive relationships with funders, volunteers, community partners and stakeholders.

Hackney School of Food is an award-winning food education hub based in the grounds of Mandeville Primary School in Clapton, East London. This is a key senior leadership role, responsible for shaping and leading RNID’s community services so that we change lives one by one. The Director of Community Services will lead our flagship RNID Near You services and Contact RNID, with responsibility for business development, operational delivery, service quality, safeguarding, volunteer management and continuous improvement.

As Director of Community Services you will:

• Provide strategic leadership for RNID’s community services, setting a clear direction, maintaining strong delivery discipline and maximising impact for our service-users.

Role 

PSTT’s long term vision is: Excellent primary school teaching in every primary school in the UK.

The goal of PSTT is to make science more accessible and attractive to children of primary school age throughout the UK. Research has shown that children’s interest in science is shaped before they leave primary school. That makes it vital for them to have a positive experience of science from their early years onwards.

The Corporate Partnerships Manager is responsible for developing and implementing plans to maximise income from corporate partners and trusts and foundations There is huge scope to develop both income streams at PSTT as this is a newly created position with the responsibility for growing and further developing these income streams. 

This is an exciting role for a candidate who wants to grow and shape the income stream, and demonstrate their personal impact on generating income, and providing partners with an incredible supporter experience. There will be an element of change as the organisation embeds an internal culture that effectively supports fundraising. 

This specialist manager role would suit someone who is already operating at a senior fundraiser or manager level, or someone who can demonstrate experience of developing a corporate and/or trusts & foundations pipeline, creating operational plans and delivering income. PSTT is an organisation with big ambitions so a background that includes working within a smaller charity would be helpful for the candidate to have but isn't essential.

About the role

This is a core role within the organisation's influencing strategy, and your primary responsibilities will include:

External Affairs & Influencing:

• Develop and deliver influencing plans to promote adoption of effective mental health care initiatives being funded by the charity
• Develop productive relationships with key stakeholders (journalists, NHS trust leaders, ICBs, ICSs, VCSE orgs) to gather intelligence and shape strategy to inform the charity's positioning
• Lead the charity's thought leadership development providing strategic advice to senior leadership on political, NHS and mental health policy developments
• Strengthen the charity's role in mental health policy and advocacy coalitions, by contributing to collaborative advocacy, media and communications outputs
• Lead the charity's response to government mental health care consultations and calls for evidence
• Monitor funder sector trends and conversations, and actively seek out opportunities for the charity to strategically engage and influence by sharing learning from its grant making practice

Media management

• Develop and implement integrated external affairs campaigns that support the charity's influencing work
• Create persuasive materials, including press releases, op-eds, spokespeople briefings, comment pieces, and digital content and pitch to relevant outlets
• Maintain and grow relationships with journalists, broadcasters and sector media to secure relevant high-quality coverage of the charity's activities, grant holders and their projects
• Act as first point of contact for media enquiries, managing proactive and reactive press activity

We would love to hear from individuals with the following skills and experience:

• Demonstrable track record of developing and implementing successful influencing strategies in the mental health sector

This is a critical and influential role at Independent Age, reporting to the Head of Governance. The post holder will provide high-quality support across a broad and impactful portfolio, including risk management, procurement and contracts, governance, safeguarding and business continuity, helping to build a culture where accountability, learning and continuous improvement drive meaningful change. 

Working closely with senior leaders and the Board, you will play an important role in enabling effective and confident decision-making across every level of the charity. We are looking for someone with a genuine passion for risk management, alongside a strong understanding of not-for-profit governance best practice. You will also bring experience in at least one of the following areas: procurement, contracts management, third party contract risk, business continuity planning, policy management or safeguarding.

About the role

Cardiomyopathy UK's Director of Research and External Affairs leads the charity's research, policy and advocacy, and communications and marketing functions, with a team of four staff. The post-holder sets the strategic direction of the directorate, drives high-quality delivery,  upholds the charity's values, and represents the charity externally. The Director is a member of the charity's Leadership Team, working closely with the CEO to steer the charity forward. 

For the right person, this is an opportunity with real strategic scope. We want to build on our strong policy positions and evidence base and translate them into more proactive campaigning and influencing, moving from good policy thinking to concerted public affairs activity, strategic stakeholder engagement, and campaigns that achieve real change. 

The Director will also lead the next phase of our research work, following our inaugural research grant-funding activity and James Lind Alliance top ten work. They will work with the Research Manager and our clinical and academic partners to better define and deliver our ambitions.

Raising awareness of cardiomyopathy, its signs, symptoms and genetic risk, is also within the team's scope. Too many people are still diagnosed late because neither they nor their GP knew what to look for. The Director will drive our communications and marketing agenda purposefully, equally ensuring the charity’s external profile is actively managed and enhanced.

We're looking for a leader who is a collaborative and inclusive, able to build trust with staff, colleagues, external partners and the Board. They will have strong strategic, analytical and planning skills, with the ability to develop coherent strategies. About This Job

This is an exciting training role in Army Cadet Headquarters responsible for the governance of risk in the Army Cadets.

In this critical organisational safety role, you will both generate medical risk assessments and assure those generated by others. You will ensure appropriate medical governance and compliance processes are in place, including identifying organisational clinical risks and recommending appropriate policies. You will oversee incident reporting and trend analysis to support continuous improvement. This will include developing systems and reporting frameworks to provide a clear understanding of the organisation’s medical risk profile and supporting the volunteer team delivering advanced skills training to highly qualified first aiders.

Essential Skills

· Have a sound understanding of the role of medical support in the Army Cadets

· Hold an accredited assessing qualification

· Evidence of continuing personal and professional development

· Understand the legislative requirements for First Aid provision as set out by the HSE
