We are seeking an experienced, qualified finance professional to join our Senior Leadership Team as Finance Director . This is a strategic role that combines financial leadership with oversight of IT, systems, data infrastructure and organisational resilience. 

Working closely with the CEO, Head of Business Development and Finance Manager, you will help ensure Advonet remains financially sustainable, well-managed and prepared for the future. Alongside responsibility for financial planning, governance, risk management, audit and Board reporting, you will lead work to strengthen our digital infrastructure, cyber resilience, data protection arrangements and organisational systems. 

This role will suit someone who enjoys operating at a strategic level, bringing clear judgement, constructive challenge and practical leadership. Join the Anglican Communion Office to provide professional leadership, oversight and delivery of safeguarding practice across the Anglican Consultative Council (ACC) and the Anglican Alliance, and to support the Anglican Communion Safe Church Commission. Working within a trauma-informed and survivor-centred framework, the Safeguarding Manager will ensure that survivors’ experiences meaningfully inform safeguarding governance, strategy and practice, including when their voices are expressed in challenging or uncomfortable ways. The postholder will bring significant experience of delivering safeguarding work internationally, including training, capacity development or policy implementation across more than one country. They will be able to adapt safeguarding practice to different cultural, legal and ecclesial contexts. This is not an administrative or secretariat-based role. The postholder will be expected to contribute authoritatively, guide and steer safeguarding work and exercise professional independence within Commission meetings and governance settings.

Safeguarding leadership, governance and reporting

• Produce and deliver a realistic and achievable safeguarding operational plan, ensuring that it is appropriately communicated across the organisation.
• Establish robust systems for recording safeguarding concerns, managing cases and monitoring the delivery of training.
• Report regularly to senior management, the Secretary General and the Standing Committee on key safeguarding risks and emerging themes.
• Report on the outcomes of lessons learned reviews. Monitor and report progress against a fully funded safeguarding action plan.  
• Seek, listen to and act upon independent advice, ensuring that the Standing Committee has appropriate assurance that safeguarding arrangements are competent, contextual and effective.

Policy, procedures and good practice

• Coordinate the review and development of Anglican Communion safeguarding policies, procedures and good practice guidance.
• Ensure that policies and procedures reflect current legislation and government guidance, and that the voices and experiences of victims and survivors are integral to the organisation’s response.

Case management and survivor support

• Ensure safe, trauma-informed and culturally appropriate responses to disclosures of abuse.
• Promote meaningful engagement with and listening to survivors across different cultural contexts.
• Ensure that allegations of abuse are referred promptly to the appropriate statutory authorities or provincial bodies, with due regard to survivor choice, safety and context.
• Ensure that victims and survivors receive appropriate advice, pastoral support and professional support.
• Ensure that appropriate pastoral and professional support is available both to survivors of abuse and to those who pose a risk, while maintaining effective safeguarding risk-management arrangements. 

Support for the Anglican Communion Safe Church Commission

Working alongside the Safe Church Commission consultant, the Safeguarding Manager will:

• Research and draft safeguarding resources, drawing on the expertise of Commission members, external evidence and an understanding of different international contexts.
• Coordinate and attend Commission working groups, distilling discussions and using them to revise resources and develop capacity development programmes.
• Maintain regular contact with provincial representatives and other Anglican Communion partners, learning from their experience, understanding emerging issues and ensuring that they are included in the Communion’s safeguarding ministry.
• Develop and deliver culturally appropriate and linguistically diverse capacity development events and training. 
• Attend meetings on behalf of the Commission with safeguarding organisations and partners involved in capacity development events.
• Liaise with contacts in the UK and across the Anglican Communion regarding funding for the Safe Church Commission.

Help shape the next generation of Anglican advocates through a unique global programme of training, mentoring and action. Join the Anglican Communion Office to establish the Young Adult Anglican Advocacy Programme a hybrid training and mentoring scheme. The initiative will give selected young adults access to a year-long programme of online training modules, mentoring opportunities and in-person attendance at UN events, to equip them to advocate for social and political change in their own context and in line with their faith. The focus of this three-year role is to create a thriving alumni network who can work for change worldwide.

Annually:

• Work with the Anglican Communion Advocacy team and other stakeholders, including the Public Engagement Team, to invite applications to the programme.
• Shortlist candidates and arrange interviews. Organise online training modules.
• Organise travel, accommodation and participation in UN events.
• Work with Anglican Communion Public Engagement team to share stories from the programme.
• Gather feedback through monitoring and evaluation systems.

In the first year:

• Work with stakeholders across the Anglican Communion to finalise teaching content.
• Liaise with civil society and church groups to ensure good coordination with their advocacy programmes.
• Establish simple monitoring and evaluation systems to gauge programme effectiveness.
• Develop recruitment, marketing and event attendance processes for first participants.

In the second year:

• Establish processes to ensure the programme runs smoothly on an annual basis.

In the third year:

• Arrange pattern of regular meetings for programme alumni.
• Work with stakeholders on programme development for future years.

The Director, Global HR Operations and Compliance is a critical leadership role within the Human Resources function, responsible for advancing HR operational excellence, strengthening global compliance, and supporting the continued evolution of our people practices. With seven global offices and Employer of Record (EOR) arrangements in thirteen countries, this position provides strategic leadership and oversight for Vital's global HR operations, compliance framework, and employee services, ensuring consistent, efficient, and legally compliant HR practices across all locations.

The Director will lead the development and implementation of inclusive policies, procedures, and best practices; provide guidance on global employment actions and employee relations matters; support workforce expansion into new countries; and oversee global compensation, benefits, and HR governance programs. This role is responsible for identifying and mitigating employment-related risks while ensuring a positive employee experience and operational consistency across diverse jurisdictions.

Reporting to the Vice President, Global HR, the Director partners closely with organizational leaders, HR colleagues, legal counsel, country offices, and external partners to strengthen HR infrastructure, optimize systems and processes, and enhance the organization's ability to manage a global workforce effectively. Success in this role requires deep global HR expertise, strong judgment, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to lead change while balancing organizational standards with local legal, cultural, and operational requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Global HR Operations - 

· Maintain a high-quality global HR operations function, including standardized policies where legally appropriate, standardized processes, technology, systems, tools, forms, and guidelines that are accessible, well understood, and consistently utilized across all offices.

· Balance global organizational standards and compliance requirements with the operational, cultural, and legal realities of individual country offices, ensuring an appropriate and practical approach across diverse environments.

· Build trusted relationships with global office leadership, HR and Country Directors, to encourage transparency, collaboration, and timely sharing of HR-related information necessary for effective operations, risk management, and compliance.

· Partner with, support, and advise global HR team members and Country Directors on HR operational matters; while supporting local HR partners in assuming HR functions locally as appropriate for each office.

· Lead global HR due diligence (terms and conditions of employment, infrastructure and documentation) and manage the maintenance of international office employee handbooks and guides for EOR-hired staff.

· Partner with leadership, programs, and operation teams in opening offices or establishing EORs; as well as closing offices or programs.

· Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements, maintenance of required documentation, and timely responses to HR audits and coordinate with the risk management committee.

· In partnership with local HR teams, lead annual global employee benefits renewals, including plan design, vendor coordination, and budget management.

· Oversee global compensation programs, including salary benchmarking, pay review processes, compensation guidance, and manager training.

· Work with Talent Acquisition, Grants & Contracts and Global Finance to coordinate the annual and reforecast workforce budget.

· Oversee the establishment of EORs and the ongoing vendor/employee/manager relationships.

· Ensure the global HR team is trained in the core HR operational areas, as well as any Vital HR specific procedures and practices.

· Ensure that HR policies, procedures, and compliance documents are accessible to all staff via the organizational intranet “Vital Pulse”.

· Collaborate with HR team to implement, analyze, and maintain operational metrics and people data to inform decision-making and strengthen organizational effectiveness.

· Serve as a key HRIS company administrator and partner to global HR teams, leveraging technology to improve HR operations, reporting, compliance and data integrity.

· Partner with HR and operational leaders to ensure HRIS data accuracy globally, establish effective governance processes, and support local teams in maintaining timely and accurate employee records.

Compliance - 

· In collaboration with Legal and VP HR, ensure that HR processes, policies, recordkeeping, and forms are in compliance with regulations, country and local labor laws, and donor guidelines.

· Oversee policy, process and procedure documentation to ensure consistency, accessibility, and compliance across the organization.

· Conduct spot checks to employee files to ensure audit readiness and compliance; and provide training to HR team members responsible for maintaining documentation.

· Ensure compliance with the Vital global data retention policy for employee data and HR documentation.

· Identify and proactively mitigate HR operational and compliance risks through strong controls, monitoring, documentation practices, and partnership with local offices.

Employee Services - 

· Coordinate the development and maintenance of HR programs and tools, including policies and procedures, SOPs, manuals, management guidelines, and other HR infrastructure to support business units, proposals, and projects.

· Ensure all offices and employees hired through EOR arrangements have access to an HR Help Desk or equivalent support structure with timely communication, responsiveness, and follow-up.

· In consultation with the VP HR and General Counsel, and in coordination with HRBPs, manage complex employee relations matters in a balanced, fair, and objective manner using appropriate counseling, investigative, intervention, and mediation techniques.

· Serve as an internal consultant and facilitator to managers and employees in resolving employment and performance-related issues in collaboration with HR business partners as appropriate.

· In collaboration with the Director of Talent Management and HR Country Teams, ensure timely delivery of training to managers on HR operations, policies, systems, and practices; and support clear communication of Vital HR business practices to employees globally.

· Foster a service-oriented HR culture that emphasizes responsiveness, partnership, trust, consistency, and practical problem-solving across all global offices.

Qualifications:

Education - 

· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field required.

· Professional HR certification such as SHRM-SCP, SPHR, CIPD, or equivalent international HR certification preferred.

· Strong knowledge of global HR operations, employment practices, compliance requirements, and HR infrastructure across multiple countries and regions.

About this key role
This is an exciting opportunity to shape the early development of a national programme. During this three-month mobilisation phase, you will build strong relationships with local partnerships, people with lived experience and national stakeholders, gathering insight to understand local priorities and ensure our support offer is responsive, practical and grounded in real experience.

The Role

As an IDVA you will:-

• Ensure that male survivors’ safety and housing needs are met by supporting survivors to access safe accommodation
• Provide a pro-active, high quality, frontline service to victims of domestic abuse through on-going risk assessment, individual safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support.
• Work within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse to keep safety central to all services for victims of domestic abuse
• Promote the service and raising awareness of issues arising, minimising barriers and improving access to support

About You

You will need:

• Experience of providing support those affected by domestic abuse
• An understanding of the principles of risk assessment, safety planning and risk management for victims of domestic abuse and their children
• Knowledge of safeguarding issues, and the legal responsibilities surrounding these issues.
• A good understanding of Housing Law to be able to provide up to date advice and information on housing related needs
• Strong communication, negotiation and advisory skills, both written and verbal when interacting with a range of agencies and individuals.
• An understanding of commitment to equal opportunities and diversity issues in policy and practice.
• Strong crisis management skills and the ability to deal with stressful and difficult situations.

Your role

You will be the main point of contact for participants, providing outstanding supporter care from registration through to event day and beyond, helping each person feel motivated, supported and valued throughout their fundraising journey.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Supporting the planning, coordination and delivery of the challenge events programme, with a primary focus on recruiting, supporting and stewarding London Marathon 2027 participants.
• Providing excellent supporter care from registration through to post-event thank you, helping participants feel informed, motivated and valued.
• Keeping in regular contact with participants by phone, email, post and in person to encourage fundraising activity and maximise income.
• Supporting recruitment through digital campaigns, partnerships and enquiries, and helping to share supporter stories with colleagues across marketing, communications and volunteering.
• Coordinating event administration and logistics, including registrations, fundraising packs, participant tracking, event-day support and accurate CRM records in Dynamics 365.

About the Role

This role sits within the Academic Development & Standards Team and provides administrative support for the College’s education development work.
