We are looking for someone who is a qualified or part-qualified accountant (including qualified by experience) to take responsibiity for the full day-to-day running of the finance function, ensuring accurate financial records, strong controls and timely reporting.

You will have experience in a hands-on finance role and in producing management accounts and charity statutory returns. You'll have a strong accounting knowledge and good excel and accounting systems capability. Ideally, you'll have experience in small organisations in the charity or social impact sector and of business partnering.

Primary Responsibilities

Salesforce Platform Management

· Day to day management of the Back Up Trust Salesforce system

· Implement and enforce data quality standards within Salesforce, including regular data cleansing, deduplication, and validation procedures to ensure the accuracy of information

· Create and manage flows and approval processes within Salesforce to automate business processes and increase operational efficiency

· Ensure security and compliance by continuously monitoring and managing user profiles, roles, and permissions

Supplier & Project Management

Data Protection Officer (DPO) Responsibilities

In addition to Salesforce and systems responsibilities, the postholder will act as Back Up's designated Data Protection Officer (DPO), providing leadership and oversight of data protection compliance across the organisation.

• Lead on compliance with UK GDPR and other relevant data protection legislation.
• Advise staff and leadership on data protection obligations, risks and best practice.
• Monitor compliance with organisational data protection policies, procedures and controls.
• Maintain and review the organisation's Data Protection Policy, guidelines and Privacy Statement.

Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) is seeking an experienced and detail-focused Payroll, Pension and Treasury Manager to lead our payroll, pension and treasury operations, ensuring strong financial stewardship, compliance and effective management of funds that support our global mission.

Location: Folkestone, Kent (we are particularly interested in hearing from candidates in the Folkestone commutable area, as you will need to be in the office the majority of the time)

The Role

As the Payroll, Pension and Treasury Manager, you will lead our payroll, pension and treasury functions across the UK and overseas operations.

You will manage the preparation and processing of monthly payroll and pension activities for UK and overseas staff, ensuring compliance with HMRC requirements and supporting staff with payroll, pension and tax-related queries.

Alongside maintaining payroll systems and pension submissions, you will also provide reporting, audit support and process improvements to maximise efficiency and minimise risk.

You will also oversee banking and treasury operations, managing domestic and foreign bank accounts, monitoring transactions and ensuring funds are invested appropriately in line with charity policies.

Additionally, you will:

- Support staff with payroll, pension, tax and National Insurance queries
- Maintain payroll software, databases and banking systems
- Ensure liquid funds are available to meet planned expenditure
- Research investment opportunities and support treasury decision-making
- Provide payroll reporting and analysis to HR and senior leadership teams
- Support year-end audit activity and finance projects

About You

To join us as our Payroll, Pension and Treasury Manager, you will need:

- Proven experience in a management role, including strategic planning, and people and financial management
- Experience of setting and controlling budgets
- Proven experience of running a payroll function
- Proven experience of running a pension function
- A degree or equivalent qualification
- A finance qualification

The National Flood Forum (NFF) is seeking a dynamic, motivated individual for the role Head of Flood Support – Hybrid with significant travel in the UK. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about working with communities, especially those at risk of flooding. This role is to support our Flood Support Work, encompassing the delivery of a professional Helpline and Community based Flood Recovery activity.

Key Details:

• Location: Home-based / Hybrid with significant travel, overnight stays and occasional weekend work.
• Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
• Salary: £42,230.00travel expenses covered

The National Flood Forum is a national charity founded by those affected by flooding, working to support and represent individuals and communities at risk. Role Overview:

This role is a member of the organisation’s management team and has responsibility for the delivery of our flood support work. The postholder will lead the delivery of a professional helpline service and oversee reactive and proactive flood support services to communities and business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Flood Support: Lead and manage high-quality proactive and reactive Flood Support Services for communities and businesses at risk of, and impacted by, flooding, including helpline & recovery services and management of the flood support vehicle. Ensure service quality through performance management, maintaining service consistency, maximising strategic impact, championing best practice, and delivering against objectives.
• Stakeholder relationships: Develop and maintain key partnerships with Risk Management authorities, (RMAs), and other stakeholders. Act as senior engagement lead, providing a clear escalation route and positioning National Flood Forum  as a trusted, informed critical friend for flooded communities.
• Research and Evidence: Oversee flood support research, collecting and evaluating evidence to strengthen advocacy. Provide insight to support policy and practice influence.
• Income: Identify, scope, and lead the development of high-quality engagement contracts, working with teams and management to prioritise and secure income.
• Political and Fundraising support: Provide data, case studies, and research to support political engagement and fundraising. Attend relevant meetings.

· People Management: Manage a matrix team, fostering collaboration, motivation, and development. Mentor team members and ensure skills and competence are maintained to achieve high performance

Experience and Qualifications required:

• Empathetic: Understand the challenges faced by those at risk of flooding and help to work with communities and agencies to provide practical solutions.

• Projects: Comprehensive experience of managing projects including able to analyse, diagnose problems  through to implementing effective solutions.
• Communication: Able to stay calm and constructive in challenging situations.
• Knowledge – Working knowledge of relevant regulations, legislation and current practice.
• Staff management: Have previously directly managed staff.
• Qualifications - BTEC or NVQ4 or relevant experience in one or more relevant subjects e.g. environmental science, development, engagement.
