Co-design and deliver initiatives: Collaborate with the IOP and wider partner teams (Royal Society of Chemistry and Science Made Simple) to deliver core project activities including:
Professional development delivery: Deliver evidence-based CPD, mentoring, and coaching to support practitioners, particularly early-career and out-of-field teachers, to build subject knowledge and confidence in teaching physics in line with the Curriculum for Wales.
Equity and inclusion: Contribute to equity-focused interventions that explore and address systemic and school-level barriers to post-16 physics participation, including unconscious bias and science capital gaps.
Monitoring and reporting: Track and evaluate programme delivery, capturing data on participation, feedback, outcomes, and impact. Contribute to quarterly monitoring reports and support external evaluation.
Stakeholder engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with schools in Wales, education stakeholders, and fellow partners. Represent the IOP in local networks and act as a regional champion for physics education.

4.2 Social media and digital engagement
Run our social media accounts day-to-day, including monitoring, scheduling, and creating engaging posts
Produce design-led assets and infographics using Canva or similar tools
Maintain and grow social media presence, sharing news from grant holders and JRCT
Research peer digital content and stay updated on social media trends
Monitor and analyse web and social media performance to evaluate and refine approach
4.3 Internal communications and administration
Work with the head of communications to deliver internal communications, including updates, newsletters, and intranet content
Complete administrative tasks to regularly maintain and update digital resources in compliance with GDPR guidelines, including social media lists, website, image library, and newsletter mailing lists
Contribute to the ongoing development of the communications and engagement strategy, and assist with projects such as brand work and website redesign as they arise
5. General Responsibilities
Work constructively with administrative and communications colleagues, offering guidance and support where appropriate
Work at all times within the values, mission, and charitable purposes of JRCT
Be proactive in keeping up to date with developments affecting your work, including the social and political environment JRCT grant holders are working in
Take direction on projects and priorities from your line manager and carry out other associated duties as may arise or be assigned
Participate in effective collaborative working with other teams across JRCT
Prepare for and participate in appraisal meetings and engage constructively with colleagues
Work to administration and communication protocols efficiently to ensure organisational systems and procedures are implemented

BD Giving is looking for a Communications Coordinator, with a focus on digital comms, who is creative, has a sense of curiosity, can take the initiative, and work to tight deadlines. You will be working with the team to ensure people know about BD Giving and what we do, using digital comms and social media to tell our story, and spotlight our programmes, opportunities and events.
We are a small, creative and highly passionate team with the ambition to revolutionise the way funding works.
We have a superb office space and regularly deliver programmes across the borough. Our core hours are 10:00am – 3:00pm . Due to the nature of community work, some evenings and weekends are required but you will have sufficient notice. At work we show up and go the extra mile, but we also operate on a four-day workweek, so there will be an extra day to your weekend to recharge.

We are seeking someone with a curious approach - to ask the right kind of questions to help us tell our story so local communities can better understand what we do and get involved. You will work within the Programmes team to collaborate on how we can bring all of our programmes to life so we’re continuing to reach new audiences and to strengthen relationships with the local social sector.

Charityworks is a 12-month, talent programme where you will deliver a full time paid job in a partner charity or housing association and have the opportunity to make real social impact.
Alongside your placement, you will also take part in an acclaimed development programme recognised by the Institute of Leadership and Management; this has been designed to accelerate your career development and provide you with the skills needed to launch your career in the social sector.
Throughout the process you’ll be supported and challenged by our programme team, an external mentor from the sector and a peer coach to help you make the most of the year. You’ll come together regularly with your fellow trainees and professionals across the sector to explore key issues affecting your work and society as a whole. Individually, you’ll explore the sector and deepen your understanding of your environment even further by producing your own enquiry and research project.
At the end of the 12-month programme you’ll have the experience and skills to kick-start your professional career in the UK social sector and beyond!

Job Description
Job Title: Charityworks Trainee
Employer: One of our Charityworks partner organisations. These organisations are subject to change each year but often include a range of non-profit partners from NSPCC, Guide Dogs, Barnardo’s, Christian Aid, Network Homes, Accent Housing and many more.
Location: Placements will take place in leading non-profit organisations across a number of locations across the UK. There will be a range of working patterns available including partly remote or blended working possibilities.
Hours: Usually 9am - 5pm with some flexibility according to the requirements of the placement and your host organisation.
Contract: Fixed term, 12 months.
Salary: The salary will meet the Living Wage as set by the Living Wage Foundation at the time of writing. This is outlined above.
