As the Challenge Events Fundraiser, you will manage the charity’s sporting, runs and challenges event places, working with the fundraisers to maximise income.

You will help shape and deliver our Challenge Events Fundraising strategy. You will develop new ways to engage supporters, review and improve our fundraising events, and make sure our activities are inclusive and impactful.

Main Responsibilities

• Be the main Child Bereavement UK sporting/race/challenge event contact, co-ordinating and managing all event activities with race organisers and participants.
• Manage and deliver fundraising Challenge events and from start to finish
• Work with the Challenge and Mass Programmes Manager to secure and liaise with volunteers for event attendance. Provide suitable volunteer requests and briefings and manage volunteers on event days.
• Assist in the development and implementation of Child Bereavement UK’s Challenge Events Fundraising strategy, embedding an audience-led approach to innovation
• Support the review of performance, opportunities, and help take action to leverage opportunities that maximise income, engagement, and brand exposure, and minimise risk.
• Contribute to driving innovation and identifying opportunities to grow income.
• Support the Special Events team and Regional Fundraising team on Child Bereavement UK events, promoting the events to Challenge Event participants and attending events as and when required.
• Put our supporters first by developing inclusive supporter journeys and materials.
• Present the work of Child Bereavement UK at individual fundraiser and community events, schools, conferences and other venues where a speaker is required. This includes giving informational presentations to audiences and accepting cheques and donations from fundraisers.
• Accurately input supporter information onto our database in accordance with the Data Protection Act, ensuring that all communications are up-to-date at all times.
• Work with Finance and Supporter Experience teams to ensure timely and accurate recording of donations and delivery of thank you letters.
• Regularly report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and support business planning.
• Prepare appropriate documents/policies in relation to fundraising at Child Bereavement UK as required.

Person Specification

Essential

• Proven successful experience of event organisation and supporter care
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate with a wide range of people at all levels
• Experience of overseeing fundraising activity, including the development, support and management of volunteers
• Proven relationship-building skills and a track record of establishing and stewarding partnerships
• Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work, handle conflicting demands and meet tight deadlines

The Grants and Trusts Manager will play a vital role in growing income from Charitable Trusts, Foundations, and Statutory funding by identifying new funding opportunities, developing compelling, high-quality funding applications, and delivering excellent stewardship. This role will support Lakeland Arts’ artistic, heritage, learning, and engagement programmes across our sites in the Lake District including Blackwell – the Arts & Crafts house, Abbot Hall art gallery, and Windermere Jetty Museum. You will collaborate with colleagues to develop strong, place-based cases for support aligned with the charity’s strategic priorities. Key Responsibilities Trusts, Foundations & Statutory Fundraising • Identify, research, and qualify funding opportunities from trusts, foundations, and statutory bodies – including Arts Council England - to support the conservation of our artistic, heritage, learning, and engagement activity. • Lead on writing and submitting high-quality funding applications, securing both unrestricted income and project-specific funding aligned with Lakeland Arts’ strategy. • Develop compelling proposals that clearly articulate the significance of our extensive collections, the benefit of public access to these and the value of our heritage, and community impact, using evaluation data, audience insight, and partnership testimonials. • Maintain ownership of a proactive and balanced funding pipeline, ensuring prospects are thoughtfully approached and progressed through the fundraising cycle. Legacies account for over two thirds of the RNLI’s annual income today and will continue to be a vital fundraising stream for many years to come. Our stewardship offering is evolving. In this role, working alongside your peer, you’ll be responsible for leading and inspiring our Engagement team, with a particular focus on how we steward and grow high-value legacy relationships. You will line manage up to five individuals who deliver both stewardship and awareness activity across their regions, ensuring our supporters receive a seamless and personalised experience and our volunteers are equipped to talk about gifts in Wills.

You’ll collaborate closely with colleagues across Legacy Marketing & Administration, Philanthropy and Regional Engagement teams to ensure we take a more proactive, insight-led approach to identifying and supporting high-value pledgers. Working with your peer, you will shape the culture and direction of the team, ensuring focus, consistency and delivery across a range of key projects.

Your role

As a Senior Legacy Engagement Manager – Stewardship and Blended Giving, you will focus on:

• Inspiring and managing the team, working in partnership with the other Senior Legacy Engagement Manager, to deliver a world-class stewardship programme for legacy supporter
• Leading the development of a more structured, insight-led stewardship approach, ensuring clarity on when a personalised, relationship-led approach adds the most value
• Supporting and guiding Legacy Engagement Managers to prioritise and build relationships with supporters most likely to leave significant gifts
• Driving a more proactive approach to identifying and engaging high-value legacy supporters, moving beyond passive acquisition routes
• Playing a key role in developing our Blended Giving approach, working closely with the Philanthropy team to connect legacy and major giving opportunities
• Collaborating with colleagues across the organisation to deliver a seamless, supporter-centric experience that secures and grows long-term income
• Using insight and data to continuously evaluate and improve our stewardship approach, identifying opportunities to enhance supporter experience and value
• Contributing to the wider legacy strategy, helping evolve our approach to meet new opportunities and challenges

About you

As an experienced fundraising or engagement leader, you’ll be comfortable building meaningful relationships with supporters, working collaboratively across teams and inspiring others to deliver excellent stewardship.

To be considered for this role, you’ll need to have:

• Strong leadership experience, including managing and motivating a geographically dispersed team and driving performance
• Demonstrable experience in managing high-value relationships, including stewardship of major donors or legacy pledgers
• Experience of developing and delivering personalised engagement approaches that drive long-term value
• Proven ability to use insight and data to inform decision-making and prioritisation
• Experience of working across teams to deliver integrated approaches, ideally including exposure to both legacy and major giving
• Ability to influence a wide range of stakeholders and drive change in a complex organisation
• Strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate strategy into clear, practical delivery
• A valid driving licence

FORCE Cancer Charity is seeking an experienced Events Fundraiser (fixed term for 12 months) to join our friendly and dedicated Income Generation team. This role is central to delivering and growing our events programme, generating vital income to support people affected by cancer across Exeter and the wider Devon community.

You will take the lead on planning, managing and delivering our existing in‑house events, including our flagship Nello Cycle Ride, while also developing new fundraising opportunities through events, campaigns and supporter‑led activities. With our 40th anniversary in 2027, you will play a key role in shaping an ambitious and engaging programme of events that celebrates FORCE’s impact and inspires even more people to get involved.

A vital part of the role will involve building strong relationships with supporters, volunteers, suppliers and local businesses. You will provide exceptional stewardship, ensuring everyone involved feels supported, appreciated and motivated to continue their fundraising journey with FORCE.

Working closely with the wider Income Generation team, you will contribute to marketing activity, volunteer engagement, supporter communications and the development of new fundraising initiatives. You will also maintain accurate event and participant records, respond to enquiries with warmth and professionalism, and ensure all events are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

We are seeking someone with relevant experience in events or project management - ideally gained in a charity, events or customer‑facing environment - who can confidently build relationships and manage multiple projects simultaneously. You will be enthusiastic, organised and self‑motivated, with strong communication skills and a passion for creating memorable experiences that inspire community support.

Some evening and weekend work will be required, with time off in lieu.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Project Officer to lead and support the development and delivery of Natural Flood Management (NFM) and wider freshwater conservation projects. The role will involve working closely with farmers, landowners, partner organisations, regulators and local communities to design and implement practical interventions that deliver multiple environmental benefits, including flood resilience, habitat restoration, water quality improvement and biodiversity recovery.

The successful candidate will play a key role in translating ecological evidence and catchment priorities into deliverable on-the-ground projects. This will include developing funding opportunities, managing project delivery, overseeing contractors and surveys, supporting stakeholder engagement, and contributing to strategic landscape-scale initiatives.

The role will work closely with colleagues across the organisation, including technical specialists, project teams and senior management, helping to ensure projects are evidence-based, deliverable and aligned with Freshwater Habitats Trust’s wider conservation objectives.

This position requires a proactive, organised and enthusiastic individual with strong project management and communication skills, who works well collaboratively whilst remaining self-motivated and solution focused. Experience of catchment management, landowner engagement and practical habitat restoration delivery would be highly advantageous.

Hope and Healing is a five-year project funded by the National Lottery Community Fund. Through the project, we’re exploring new ways of putting community and relationships at the heart of mental health support.

The Communities and Development Manager – Wales will play a key role in our communities-based and system-changing work in Wales. You’ll also provide project management across this work, overseeing delivery and ensuring strong compliance and safe working.

You’ll support colleagues to deliver our Communities of Hope work, using this as a starting point for developing and delivering our work with systems.
