Would you like to create meaningful change and lasting impact by helping to shape the future of mission and ministry across the Diocese of Canterbury? We’re looking for an experienced Programme Manager to lead, coordinate and deliver our strategic change portfolio.
Working closely with the Director of Strategic Development, you’ll bring people together, keep projects moving and turn vision into action - supporting flourishing parishes, sustainable ministry and church growth across the Diocese.
As Programme Manager, you’ll work with colleagues, clergy, parish leaders and partners across the Diocese to coordinate programmes, manage priorities and make sure great ideas become real outcomes.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys leading complex programmes and making things happen, is adept at building strong relationships and capable of bringing people together whilst being confident of managing priorities, risks, governance and budgets.
You’ll be a collaborative and organised programme professional with experience of working with multiple stakeholders, supporting senior leaders and delivering strategic change. About the role
The Business Development and Fundraising Manager will play a crucial role in delivering a key pillar of our strategy: to build Claremont’s financial strength and sustainability.
The purpose of the role is to increase Claremont’s income from hall hire, therapy room hire, office lettings and donations, so that we can strengthen our much-loved services for vulnerable people.
By tapping into unrealised revenue streams (especially from in our large and centrally located building) the Business Development and Fundraising Officer will bolster our independence and ensure that our services are not put at risk when grants come to an end.

Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development, Marketing and Promotion
Develop and implement marketing initiatives to increase bookings for Claremont's halls and meeting rooms.
Promote our hire spaces across online platforms (such as TagVenue and Sharesy), build new partnerships, and grow bookings through local networking and word-of-mouth.
Improve our online presence and promotional materials by creating engaging content, including photography, video tours, signage and marketing literature.
Support the marketing and promotion of office space rentals, responding to prospective tenant enquiries and assisting with the lettings process.
Monitor booking trends and recommend new opportunities to maximise bookings and income.
2. Customer Engagement and Venue Hire
Work closely with the Facilities Manager to respond promptly and professionally to enquiries about hall and room hire.
Welcome new hirers, deliver customer inductions and support them throughout the booking process.
Build strong relationships with regular customers, identifying opportunities to improve their experience and encourage repeat bookings.
Help coordinate office space lettings and provide an excellent experience for prospective and existing tenants.
Continuously review and improve the customer journey, using feedback to enhance Claremont's venue hire and lettings offer.
3. Fundraising and Individual Giving
Work with the Head of Operations to plan and deliver fundraising events, including the Claremont Exhibits Private View, Craft Fairs and new legacy programme activities.
Develop and administer processes for Gift Aid and individual donations, ensuring records are accurate and compliant.
Explore innovative ways to increase individual giving, improve donor engagement and reduce barriers to giving using digital tools.
Support the development of Claremont's legacy giving programme and wider fundraising initiatives.
4. Operational Support
Be an active member of Claremont's small team, contributing to the smooth day-to-day running of the centre.
Provide occasional front desk cover during staff absences, welcoming visitors and responding to enquiries.
Assist with setting up and packing away rooms and equipment for activities and events when required.
Support the successful delivery of centre events and activities, working flexibly to meet operational needs.
Undertake other duties appropriate to the role that contribute to Claremont's mission and objectives.

Residential & Commercial Property Manager
Hours: Minimum of 37.5 hours per week, normally Monday to Friday. Role purpose and scope
The role has key responsibility for all larger fundraising activities and corporate grants at Swindon Food Collective. This includes high-profile networking with large businesses, PLC's, and corporations, processing commercial grant applications, developing, nurturing, and managing key corporate partnerships and significantly increasing corporate fundraising activities (e.g., sponsorships, developing commercial fundraising pitches, securing commercial grants, and developing a commercial income pipeline).

Developing New Corporate Partnerships and Sponsorship

· Develop and deliver an 18-month income generation plan aligned to SFC priorities and the Trustee Strategy & Fundraising Committee.
Performance Management, Systems and Compliance
· Manage income forecasting, budgeting and ROI tracking; set and monitor KPIs and provide clear reporting to CEO/Board.
· Maintain accurate records in the CRM (or agreed system), ensuring GDPR compliance and strong data quality.
· Ensure fundraising activity aligns with relevant fundraising standards and ethical practice.

· Proven track record of corporate fundraising and understanding of corporate grant applications and process, highlight previous successes and the potential for Swindon Food Collective.
· Demonstratable experience delivering previous significant income growth for charities through fundraising, partnerships or business development.
· Experience developing and implementing an income generation strategy across multiple streams (e.g., corporate, trusts, major donors, individual giving).

Working closely with portfolio teams to understand their priorities, challenges and decision-making needs, you will identify where evidence can add value. This could include evidence to understand community needs and support assessment of applications, to shaping major funding programmes, supporting monitoring and evaluation practices and supporting decisions at leadership and committee level.
You will translate user needs into clear evidence requirements, commissioning or coordinating the development of products within Evidence Services, across the Evidence and Impact team or externally. Products can include:

You will lead roll out of products, ensuring they meet user needs, are adopted effectively and continue to improve through feedback and review.
