The role

We are seeking a motivated Business Development Intern to support our Development Team across fundraising, donor engagement, partnerships, and grants.

This full-time, 12-month internship offers hands-on experience within an international nonprofit and is ideal for someone passionate about social justice and international development.

Location: Hybrid (Hampton and remote)

Key responsibilities

Fundraising and campaigns

• Support planning, delivery, and evaluation of individual giving campaigns and fundraising events

• Research prospective donors and new fundraising opportunities

• Assist with fundraising-related social media and marketing content

• Track and report on fundraising performance and impact

• Support challenge and community fundraising events and participant management

Donor communications

• Draft and edit donor communications, including thank-you messages, newsletters, and appeals

• Support personalised donor stewardship and supporter journeys

Grants and proposals

• Research grant opportunities aligned with NO MORE’s priorities

• Assist with grant applications, submissions, and reporting

• Track deadlines and maintain accurate grant records

• Support collection of impact and monitoring data

Partnership and team support

• Support delivery of in-person and virtual partnership events

• Conduct research on fundraising trends and donor demographics

• Provide administrative support, including database management and scheduling

• Support fundraising reporting to the Board of Trustees
   

About you

You will have:

• A degree in Humanities, Social Sciences, Development or a related field

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

We are looking for a Communications Manager to play a key role in shaping and delivering communications and marketing activity across supporter and corporate audiences.

We are based in London and support young people via our direct delivery programmes. We take what we learn from our work and use it to inspire businesses across the UK to do more to improve social mobility (making sure people from all backgrounds get fair opportunities).

We do this by:

· Running large events like The UK Social Mobility Awards to celebrate companies doing it well.

· Organising Social Mobility Day to raise awareness.

· Publishing The Social Mobility Podcast and Social Mobility List to share ideas and highlight role models.

This role sits within the Marketing Communications team and supports the Head of Communications to deliver audience-centred communications and marketing that increases visibility, engagement and impact.

You will lead day-to-day marketing and communications activity, developing audience journeys and delivering targeted, campaigns, with a strong focus on email, digital content and social media.

You will work closely with colleagues across the charity to ensure marketing effectively supports organisational priorities.

Demand for our specialist tutoring programmes for Children Looked After, those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (UASC) continues to increase and we are seeking a dedicated and effective Partnerships Account Manager to join our team and support the increased demand for our provision and the continued scaling of our organisation.

The Organisation

Equal Education is a social enterprise working to improve outcomes and narrow the attainment gap for disadvantaged and vulnerable learners, including Children Looked After, those with SEND, and unaccompanied asylum seeking children. We have over 13 years’ experience delivering 1:1 tuition, working with hundreds of Schools and Local Authority partners across the country, reaching hundreds of pupils annually. 

As a member of the Fair Education Alliance, we believe in providing meaningful educational provision to students whose needs may not be best met within a traditional classroom environment, those who aren’t currently accessing education, or who benefit from additional 1:1 support. We work with over 200 qualified teachers to provide academic, subject specialised and individual tutoring and mentoring for children of all ages. Tutors provide pastoral care and work with pupils to increase engagement and attainment. Our programmes will help the students to overcome barriers to learning, help them build trusted relationships, increase their aspirations, and fulfil their potential. What is the Role?
In this role, you will drive business growth by securing new partnerships and managing key client accounts across designated regions. With a focus on building and sustaining long-term local council and school relationships, you will work closely with clients to understand their needs, expand our service offerings, and ensure the highest levels of satisfaction. As the majority of our key client relationships are with local councils, we are looking for someone with knowledge of how they operate.

The post holder will have the opportunity to line manage junior member(s) of the team, who provide essential bid-writing and administrative support to facilitate efficient and effective client management.

This role would suit someone with proven ability to operate effectively in scaling organisations where processes are still being defined. This role suits someone who is adaptable, resilient, and confident working at pace amid change.

The role will be suited to those who have worked within an education setting and held the title: SENCO, Head of Department, Advisory Teacher, Inclusion Coordinator or Designated Teacher. The role will also be suited to those who have worked within a Local Authority setting and held the title: Commissioning Officer, Senior Case Officer, Case Officer. Whilst the role is also suited for an experienced (key) account/client manager, we are looking for an individual who has experience and/or knowledge of the UK education system.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Client Acquisition and Relationship Management

   • Proactively seek new business opportunities within assigned regions to grow the client base.

   • Develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with key clients, ensuring their evolving needs are met and service offerings are aligned.

   • Lead regular client review meetings to discuss progress, gather feedback, and identify additional service opportunities.

   • Manage internal relationships to ensure what matters to clients is communicated internally using the proper channels, to allow for effective delivery by our Service Delivery team

   • Maintain good internal stakeholder relationships with our Service Delivery team to ensure client demands are balanced with our processes and team capacity. 

2. Strategic Planning and Development

   • Collaborate with Senior Leaders to develop strategies for client retention and growth.

   • Work closely within the Partnerships team to align on strategic objectives and ensure seamless service delivery across functions.

   • Participate in client and industry events to represent the organisation, expand networks, and identify new business opportunities.

3. Performance Monitoring and Reporting

   • Monitor client engagement, satisfaction levels, and service outcomes; produce regular progress reports for management.

   • Oversee tracking and analysis of client-related statistics to ensure targets are met and clients receive impactful, value-driven service.

   • Manage and track client data and prospect pipelines using CRM systems, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date information.

   • Report to the the Partnerships Director on accounts, Tenders, Bids, client meetings on a regular basis.

   • Be curious to explore our Salesforce system data, understanding and interpreting delivery and impact data. 

4. Line Management and Support Coordination

   • Lead, mentor, and manage junior member(s) of the team focused on bid/application writing, tender management, and client-related administration.

   • Support junior member(s) in producing and reviewing high-quality application documents and responses that align with client requirements and enhance our partnership outcomes.

   • Provide oversight to ensure that administrative tasks are completed efficiently, supporting smooth client interactions and consistent follow-through.

   • Work with other area leaders, to ensure strong delivery of services.

   • Contribute to, and foster strong internal working relationships to successfully delivery against strategy and objectives.. 

5. Bid Management and Process Improvement

   • Oversee the preparation and submission of tenders and bid applications, working closely with junior member(s) to ensure high-quality and timely submissions.

   • Continuously review and improve internal processes to optimise bid management, client onboarding, and service delivery.

   • Report on bid submission performance, review bidfeedback to continuously improve. 

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Detailed knowledge of the UK education sector. 

• Experience working in the education sector or with local authorities, particularly in roles involving SEND or children’s services.

• Proven track record in client relationship management, with experience in sales or partnership development roles.

• Strong communication skills, particularly in face-to-face and telephone interactions, with the ability to build rapport quickly and maintain long-lasting relationships.

• Experience managing a small team, providing leadership, direction, and support to ensure high-performance standards.

• High level of empathy and commitment to supporting vulnerable and underserved communities.

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet both short- and long-term deadlines effectively.

• Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) for tracking client data, leads, and progress.

• Proactive, problem-solving mindset, able to address issues independently and provide client-focused solutions.

• Able to work in a high pressure environment, whilst taking initiative, we would want the postholder to ask for support when needed.

Desirable:

• Exceptional written communication skills, with proven confidence in drafting, editing, and refining persuasive content across a variety of formats.

• Experience in bid and tender writing or grant applications is advantageous, though a background in producing compelling written materials for diverse purposes is equally valued.

To manage and ensure control of the funding, financial and corporate resources of the Charity to ensure a financially secure service, delivering value for money. 

Work with the Co-Directors to advise and develop the financial strategy, model new projects, prepare annual and project budgets, and report on financial performance, contributing to the overall future strategic direction of the Charity.

Manage the day-to-day finances for the Charity. Ensure all aspects of the financial systems are accurate and up to date, including banking, sales and purchase ledgers, payroll and cash management.

Day to Day Financial Management

• Take the lead on preparing the Annual Budget, working closely with SLT to capture all spending plans Develop and run a process which is thorough, consistent and inclusive of all managers. 

• Alongside the Co-Director, present the Draft Budget to Board for approval 

• Present monthly management accounts and Cost Centre reports for all managers

• Work closely with all SLT to ensure they fully understand their budgets and ongoing organisational performance against budget 

• Monitor variations against spend and integrate within an overall Cashflow analysis 

• Recommend corrective actions to Co- Directors and/or Board as necessary 

Statutory Reporting & Charity compliance 

• Act as lead member of staff with the Charity’s Auditors 

• Oversee the preparation of the Annual Accounts plus any supporting papers required to enable an efficient and effective annual audit to take place 

• Maintain fixed asset register and inventory of all equipment contracts/agreements

• Develop, update and produce long term cashflow forecasts to evidence that the Charity can operate as a going concern. 

• Provide up-to-date dashboards and reports of the financial position, projections and scenarios, considering the financial implications of alternative business models, advice on new and current business income generation initiatives and analysis of financial risk and performance. 

• Work with the Co-Directors, to ensure that the appropriate processes are in place for the long-term financial viability of the charity, advising on the financial consequences of proposed actions 
   

Governance support to FING Committee and Trustees 

• Assist the Chair of FING Committee (Treasurer) 

• Prepare all associated papers and minutes 

• Prepare finance papers for Treasurer to deliver to Board of Trustees 

• Attend Board of Trustees meetings and present information as requested 
   

General 

• Postholder to adhere to their relevant Code of Ethics as laid down by their professional body, being mindful that adherence to the code takes precedence over charity policy and practice should a conflict ever arise. [NB Sections A + C of the current professional code are applicable.]

• Keep abreast of financial developments across the charity sector and ensure any opportunities for tax reliefs, cost reduction, value for money and more effective systems are seized as appropriate.

• Ability to work with the Co-directors to lead the formulation of long-term financial plans and strategies which will influence the long-term direction of the charity. 

• Experience in developing major finance policy development. 

• Experience in budgeting and financial planning.

• Ability to receive, process and provide highly complex or sensitive financial information including ability to analyse and clearly communicate financial information.

Operations Manager

Type: Full-Time (40 hours per week)

Location: Westminster, London (expectation of working from our office 2-3 days a week)

Salary: c£68,000, depending on experience

The Centre for Long-Term Resilience (CLTR) is a UK-based, non-profit and independent think tank with a mission to transform global resilience to extreme AI and biological risks. The Role

The Operations Manager is a key hire within our small but highly effective Operations Unit, sitting alongside a People Operations Manager and reporting directly to the Director of Operations. The Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting CLTR’s overall operations, working across units and delivering projects spanning cybersecurity, finance, administration, data protection, office management and others.

This is a hands-on, generalist role suited to a skilled and self-motivated operator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable switching between strategic project management and day-to-day delivery. You will have the confidence to take on new challenges and the ability to communicate clearly with internal teams, contractors and external service providers to drive impact.

You will take ownership of key operational systems and processes, lead on our internal cybersecurity and IT operations (in partnership with our external managed service provider), and support a range of compliance, administrative, and organisational improvement projects. As the organisation grows, this role will be central to building the infrastructure that supports a scaling team.

What you’ll do:

Project & Operations Management

• Project manage key operational initiatives from initiation through to delivery, maintaining clear plans, timelines, and stakeholder communication.

• Support the Director of Operations in developing and implementing operational strategies aligned with the organisation's growth plans.

• Identify inefficiencies in existing systems and processes and drive improvements, ensuring the organisation is well-positioned to scale.

• Maintain operational documentation, process guides, and internal knowledge management systems.

Cybersecurity and IT:

• Serve as the primary internal point of contact for our external IT and managed security service provider, ensuring service levels are maintained and issues are resolved promptly.

• Oversee day-to-day IT operations including device management, software licensing, onboarding/offboarding technology needs, and user support escalations.

• Lead the implementation and ongoing management of the organisation's cybersecurity policies and controls, in line with relevant frameworks (e.g. Cyber Essentials).

• Maintain and develop an asset register, acceptable use policies, access controls, and incident response procedures.

• Proactively identify and mitigate IT and security risks as the organisation grows, including preparing for future infrastructure needs.

• Coordinate internal roll out and learning around AI tools.

Compliance & Governance Support

• Maintain and update internal policies in coordination with the Director of Operations, People Operations Manager and relevant leads.

• Support the People Operations Manager with HR-adjacent compliance requirements where appropriate (e.g. right to work checks, DBS, data handling).

• Support organisational compliance activities, including data protection (UK GDPR) and any sector-or donor-specific regulatory requirements.

• Assist in preparing for and managing external audits, accreditations, and due diligence processes.

Office & Administrative Operations

• Oversee the smooth day-to-day running of office operations, including facilities management, supplier relationships, and procurement.

• Manage relationships with key operational suppliers and service providers, reviewing contracts and ensuring value for money.

• Provide flexible administrative support to the Director of Operations and wider Operations Unit as needed, with a can-do approach to varied tasks.

• Support the planning and logistics of internal events, offsites, and all-staff meetings.

• Provide flexible operational support to the Risk Management Unit (0.5 days per week)

Organisational Development

• Contribute to scaling the organisation's operational capabilities as headcount grows, including helping to onboard new staff, implement new tools, and embed operational best practice.

• Play an active role in fostering a well-organised, collaborative, and mission-aligned working culture.

• Any other tasks as reasonably requested by your line manager.

Person Specification

Essential

• Proven track record in an operations, project management, or business management role.

• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously and deliver to deadlines.

• Proven ability to manage IT and/or cybersecurity operations, ideally including experience working with external managed service providers.

• Experience supporting compliance or governance functions, including working knowledge of UK GDPR and data protection practice.

• Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills, with a systematic approach to documentation and process management.

• A self-starter mentality — comfortable with ambiguity, able to take initiative, and happy to roll up their sleeves on both strategic and administrative tasks.

Desirable

• Experience working in a not-for-profit, think tank, research organisation, or similarly mission-driven environment.

• Project management qualification such as PRINCE2 or Agile.

• Experience supporting organisational scaling or managing change in a growing team.

• Strong digital literacy and experience working with tools such as Claude, Gemini, Asana and WordPress, and the ability to learn new software rapidly.

Location and Travel Requirements

Flexible location within the UK, with the expectation of attending our central London office at least twice-to-three times a week, including Mondays. We are open to discussing remote and flexible working arrangements with candidates.

Job Summary
Sitting within the Product Management Team, the Dynamics 365 (CRM) Product Manager is responsible for the Dynamics 365 and Microsoft product planning and execution throughout the Product Lifecycle, including gathering and prioritising product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with stakeholders and delivery teams to ensure revenue and product optimisation goals are met. The Product Manager’s job involves ensuring that the product supports the company’s overall strategy and goals. 

Forming and managing effective relationships with key business stakeholders, in particular Business Owners, Product Managers, Business Analysts, Engineers and IT Leads. Work with stakeholders to deliver the Product Roadmap by producing clear and manageable roadmaps and backlogs for delivery and communication.

  Role Purpose 
 
The Home from Hospital project in Newcastle is funded by the Northeast and North Cumbria Integrated Care Board. Preventing readmissions to hospital is crucial for the NHS. Re-admissions cost the NHS over £2 billion per year, and no-one wants to be in hospital when they can be recovering safely and comfortably at home. The project was developed to help enable older people to thrive back at home, and in the community, while at the same time supporting the NHS.
 
We recruit, train, support and coordinate volunteers, who provide a “little bit of help” to people who may be socially isolated, have health issues, or don’t have many people around them. Volunteers provide social, emotional or practical support, completing short-term tasks. This includes things like helping with shopping, collecting medical prescriptions, in person or telephone check in’s, driving someone to an appointment, helping with paperwork, ensuring the home is safe and secure, and more.

We are looking for a talented, dynamic, and professional Engagement Manager to join our team in Newcastle.The right candidate would be someone with excellent knowledge of “best practice” in Volunteer Management and with experience of supporting older people.

It is essential that the postholder is agile, can work flexibly, is an excellent communicator, and can build strong working relationships with a range of people.

Provide expert HR support to deliver organisational change, role design, and workforce improvements. Partner with leaders to ensure effective people solutions aligned to University priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Support organisational change initiatives, including restructures and consultations.
• Advise on organisational design, workforce planning, and role clarity.
• Lead reviews and updates of job descriptions and support job evaluation processes.
• Provide expert HR advice on policies, employee relations, and people issues.
• Work collaboratively with the HR partnering team to deliver consistent support.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships and influence decision-making.

Essential:

• Experience in HR Business Partnering or senior advisory roles
• Strong background in change management and consultations
• Knowledge of job design/evaluation and employment law
• Excellent communication and stakeholder skills
• CIPD qualified (Level 5+)

Desirable:

• Experience in higher education or public sector
