About the Role

As Grants and Information Officer, you will play a central role in delivering our services. You will manage grant applications from initial assessment through to decision and award, contribute to committee processes, and support the wider operations of the charity.

Key Responsibilities

Casework

• Manage applications from initial assessment through to committee review
• Liaise with beneficiaries and maintain accurate, confidential records
• Prepare agendas and take minutes for committee meetings
• Signpost applicants to other appropriate sources of support

Finance

• Administer grants within agreed limits
• Arrange payments to beneficiaries and service providers
• Support audit processes

Grants Management System

• Maintain and update the grants database (Benefactor)
• Produce reports and review system content as required

Administration & Resources

• Update and maintain internal resources, including application forms, guidance, and standard communications
• Support website content updates
• Maintain standard operating procedures
• Provide general office administration support

Additional Duties

• Attend and support the AGM and other organisational meetings
• Represent the charity externally when required
• Support the CEO with fundraising strategy and policy development

About You

You will be:

• Educated to degree level
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Experienced in working with databases and updating websites
• Familiar with fundraising applications and/or the charity sector (ideally benevolent funds or welfare services)
• Knowledgeable about the UK statutory benefits system
• Familiar with accounting software such as Xero or Dext (desirable)

The Programme Officer will play an integral role in the Impact team within the broader Directorate of Impact and External Affairs. Location: Islington based in our Central Office. You will be required to work Mondays in the office, plus an additional day within a service, with home working possible through the rest of the week. About the Role

We're hiring an experienced payroll and pensions officer. You will join a small Payroll team, reporting to the Payroll and Pensions Manager. You will ensure efficient and accurate payroll operations, ensuring staff are paid correctly, on time. You will support in the preparation and processing of monthly payroll, coordinating effective and efficient end-to-end payroll and pensions administration, plus any relevant activity. The People and Culture team overall are a supportive and friendly team, who all have individual personalities and characteristics which bring us together to have a positive working environment as a team.

• Take ownership of administrative tasks in the payroll and pensions process
• Be a point of contact for enquiries regarding payroll and pensions, to proactively resolve, signpost or seek support on any issues that arise

Job Purpose:

 This role will lead the development and delivery of Allergy UK’s youth engagement initiative. We are beginning several exciting new projects focused on engaging young people who live with allergy and providing opportunities for them to have a voice and support them in raising awareness of the issues that affect their life. We are seeking young people’s participation and co-production in all activities we develop to support their needs. The role of Youth Engagement Officer will be to engage with young people across the UK, to ensure that they have the opportunities and support to shape and influence Allergy UK’s programmes and activities for young people living with allergy.

The Youth & Community Engagement Officer will engage with children and young people across the UK to ensure they are meaningfully involved and supported to influence Allergy UK’s services, campaigns and resources. This includes creating safe, inclusive spaces where young people and parents and carers feel listened to and empowered to share their experiences.

The successful individual will develop youth opportunities that build confidence, skills and life chances, while supporting children and young people living with allergy to overcome the social, emotional and practical barriers they may face. A key part of the role will be working collaboratively with parents and carers to ensure their voice inform decision making and design.

As a Youth & Community Engagement Officer, you will have experience of working positively with children, young people and families, and have a proactive, organised and confident approach.

Strong organisation skills and initiative are essential as you will be the lead Allergy UK’s youth provision.

You will coordinate a range of activities on-line and in-person engagement sessions, blogs, podcasts, learning opportunities and digital activities all rooted in co-production principles. You will work as part of a wider team to engage children, young people and parents and carers, to amplify unheard voices and stories, and help drive positive change for families living with allergy.

The post is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund until September 2028. As a grant- funded role, the postholder will be responsible for the effective delivery, monitoring and evaluation of agreed grant outcome and KPI’s, ensuring full compliance with funder requirements and reporting deadlines.

· Design, develop and deliver youth-led and family-centred services across three core areas:

o Continue to design and deliver youth-led services with the existing 18–25 youth group for people living with allergies

· Support and develop young people to become champions and ambassadors for Allergy UK, building confidence, leadership skills and advocacy capability.

· Work collaboratively with a wide range of organisations including but not exclusively schools, local government, health and youth services and voluntary sector organisations.

The Senior Media and PR Officer will undertake communication projects to support all areas of the charity to raise awareness and understanding of Independent Age, to secure policy change to tackle poverty in later life, and to drive potential supporters to our activities. 

Our Helpline and expert advisers offer free, practical support to older people without enough money to live on. Through our grants programme, we support hundreds of local organisations working with older people across the UK.

We use the knowledge and insight gained from our support services and partnerships to highlight the issues experienced by older people in poverty and campaign for change.

Responsibilities and Person Specification: 

This role supports the charity’s media and PR programme, helping to secure positive coverage and strengthen its reputation through proactive and reactive communications. It will contribute to the organisation’s ambition by increasing awareness, influence, and engagement with key audiences across traditional and digital media channels. 

Working within the media communications team, the post-holder will lead on media planning and PR projects, identifying opportunities for both short-term campaigns (such as report launches) and longer-term storytelling by spotting future hooks and moments to promote key messages and calls to action. The role will also support wider team strategy development and contribute to a busy and responsive press office. 

You should have experience in media relations and press office activity, including drafting high-quality media materials such as press releases, statements, op-eds and thought leadership content. You will also need strong judgement to respond to enquiries, manage reputational issues in real time, build relationships with journalists and outlets across the UK nations, and monitor, evaluate and report on media coverage.

We are looking for an experienced professional with a blend of communications and media experience who can push forward a union-led strategic communications agenda, and who can also enhance the ITF’s position in the media as the global voice of transport workers. This hands-on role will span communications and media work across the ITF.

You will be part of a team delivering solidarity and support to local, national and global disputes, building communications that reinforce the critical role of transport workers around the world, developing strategies to support union-led policies on everything from health and safety to sustainability, and raising the volume on the global struggle to advance the rights of transport workers everywhere.

Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, this role will work collaboratively to implement communications strategies for the ITF’s industrial work programmes and their priority campaigns. The role will include targeting diverse audiences including transport workers, employers, media, policy makers and political leaders. The role will also play a crucial role in ensuring that industrial priorities and issues are reflected and integrated in organisation-wide communications.

The Communications and Press Officer will lead on the implementation of the ITF’s global media strategy: the role is pivotal to securing media coverage that raises awareness of the work and priorities of the ITF internationally, across broadcast, print, online media and trade press, while also monitoring the media coverage we gain, evaluating impact and providing insights to help shape future media work.

The role will also be central to developing communications content across the ITF’s industrial sections, from website news stories to in-depth reports and communications support for ITF conferences, meetings and other events: you will need to be able to develop expert knowledge of policy and industrial issues facing transport workers, and effectively interpret and analyse issues and challenges and translate them into compelling and engaging communications outputs.

The role of the ITF Communications Team is to elevate our work on global issues and drive collective action to improve the rights of all transport workers.

Mind in Croydon is seeking a motivated, empathetic and person-centred Mental Health Personal Independence Co-ordinator (MHPIC) to support adults experiencing mental health challenges to live independently and access the resources and services they need within their local communities. The MHPIC will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team (MDT) within the Integrated Neighbourhood Team (INT) framework. You will provide one-to-one support to individuals, helping them develop Personal Recovery Plans and Action Plans using Open Dialogue approaches, navigate local services, and build confidence and autonomy. The role involves community-based support, home visits, and liaison with carers, families, and a range of health, council, and voluntary sector professionals.
