The Philanthropy & Partnerships Communications and Stewardship Manager plays a key role in building strong, lasting relationships between Cats Protection and its most valued supporters.

What we are looking for in our Stewardship & Communications Manager:

The Community Engagement & Support role is about providing greater sustainability and resilience for the Fahr’s Disease community and Fahr Beyond as a charity. The post holder will be building the capacity for Fahr Beyond to provide support for people living with Fahr’s and their families through creating a volunteer network that can provide an ongoing fortnightly support group. - Support the development of a volunteer strategy for Fahr Beyond

This role reports to the Head of Communications with close alignment with colleagues across the marcomms directorate. The marcomms manager will be responsible for managing marketing campaigns in the South West Region of England and promoting SSAFA’s fundraising initiatives and services. About the team
The Communications team is a small but dynamic group of individuals with strong skillsets across Public Relations, Storytelling (case studies) and Internal Communications. The team is a mix of ex-forces and civilians, and they are always sharing knowledge and expertise with each other.
You will work closely across all directorates within SSAFA, with a focus in South West, to garner information and create compelling marcomms campaigns and activities to raise awareness of SSAFA’s work.

Camp Jojo is expanding from its established Essex site to a second location at Nag’s Head Farm, near Appleby in Cumbria. We are seeking a Volunteer Manager to lead the recruitment, administration and support of volunteers for our Cumbria camps.
This role is responsible for managing the full volunteer journey, from initial enquiry and recruitment through to placement at camp, while maintaining accurate databases and acting as the main point of contact for volunteers. Working closely with the Operations Managers and supported by the experienced team at our Essex site, the Volunteer Manager will help ensure a positive and well-organised volunteer experience.
The role includes attending and minuting volunteer-related meetings, maintaining effective communication with volunteers, and supporting the wider Camp Jojo team. This is a varied and rewarding position requiring excellent organisation, time management and communication skills. Hours are seasonal, with increased demand during spring and summer, and attendance at the start of camps during school holidays is required.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced Communications and Marketing Manager with excellent organisational
skills to develop, implement and manage effective communication strategies for a charity based in the
healthcare sector, with a national and local reach across the UK and Ireland.
You’ll have demonstrable experience in planning and implementing different communications strategies
across a range of marketing channels to help us grow our organisational profile, uphold our vision
and values, while extending our reach across the sector to support growth and awareness among the
community we support.
As part of the daily management of the charity’s communications and marketing needs, you’ll work with colleagues and volunteers to raise awareness maximise awareness of our support model, support the organisation through attendance of national and local events and be part of a team representing the charity at key exhibitions during the year requiring you to be away overnight for up to 3 or 4 nights at a time (depending upon location) – approximately 3-4 times per year. Further information will be available to candidates taken forward for interview.
You will be integral to our communications and marketing approach, collaborating with colleagues who manage our social media and published communications (e.g. member magazine). Above all you are someone who fosters an organisation wide approach working with, mentoring and supporting colleagues to ensure a planned, structured and collaborative approach to our communications and marketing planning.
The ideal candidate must have a proven track record in managing communications, producing effective content and campaigns across a range of channels (print, digital, online) for at least TWO years, ideally bringing additional experience from within the charity sector.
The role is primarily remote and the successful applicant can work from a location of their choice (subject to representing the charity at key meetings, internal meetings and exhibitions throughout the year). The role holder will make optimum use of video conferencing and online collaboration tools to work as part of a wider communications team so the team feels connected and engaged in its approach.
Interviews will be two-stage for successful candidates. Initial interviews will be held via video conferencing (such as Zoom) with successful candidates going through to a second round. Second round interviews will be face-to-face interview (with advance notice). The Opportunity

Supporting New Business Development

Develop and implement strategies to increase member engagement, including organising events, webinars, and networking opportunities, including regular All Coalition Meetings and Annual Movement Gatherings.

Facilitate onboarding processes for new members, ensuring a smooth integration into the coalition.

Responsible for the maintenance and development of the central Member Resource Hub

Responsibility for managing the day to day delivery of the Local Intelligence Hub project (online data hub providing climate-relevant data at a constituency level), including being the key contact with our external partner organisation who maintain and develop the hub, and keeping TCC members and staff involved and informed about the project as needed.

Contribute to the development of programs and services that meet the evolving needs of members.

Represent the organisation at external events and forums to promote membership and build partnerships.

Proven experience in membership management, stakeholder engagement, or a related field.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders, using facilitation skills to bring people together in a meaningful way

Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Some experience of line management of volunteers or paid staff

Proven ability to support the work of committees and take minutes.

Demonstrable experience of organising meetings and conferences.

Proven ability to maintain simple accounts and oversee budgets.

Able to handle administrative tasks in a quick and efficient manner, including organising meetings and responding to enquiries quickly
