What We Offer

ShareAction is an independent charity and an expert on responsible investment. We work to build a world where the financial system serves our planet and its people. We set ambitious standards for how financial institutions, through their investment decisions, can protect our planet and its people and campaign for this approach to become the norm. We convene shareholders to collectively push companies to tackle the climate crisis, protect nature, improve workers’ rights and shape healthier societies. In the UK and EU, we advocate for financial regulation that has society’s best interests at its core.
What you'll do
As Programme Manager, you will work to support the Programme Lead in ensuring the smooth and effective running of ShareAction’s Energy Transition Programme, which aims to contribute to tackling the climate crisis. This pivotal role will lead the implementation of effective programme management processes and systems to plan, monitor and drive programme delivery, performance and expenditure. You will also support fundraising activity, events and external stakeholder engagement for the programme and represent the programme with colleagues across the organisation to coordinate delivery, manage dependencies and ensure strategic alignment.
In this role, you will regularly engage with members of the Energy Transition team, with colleagues in other teams involved in helping to deliver aspects of the programme, and with peer Programme Managers to promote strategic alignment and cross-team learning. Forming productive internal relationships will be crucial for success; using your skills and experience to manage and coordinate our resources will help to ensure we maximise our impact. In doing so, you will support ShareAction’s progress towards its overall mission of promoting a more responsible investment system as well as achieving our climate campaign objectives.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will be highly varied: one day you could be organising the logistics and agenda for a team planning or evaluation session; the next, developing a budget for a funding proposal; and the next, helping the Programme Lead prepare for an external presentation.
If this role sounds exciting and a good fit with your skill set and experience, we’d love to hear from you!
What you’ll bring to the team
We’re seeking an experienced Programme Manager who is highly organised, motivated, proactive and efficient. You’ll need excellent interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills to succeed in this lynchpin role for the smooth running of the programme across all its activities. You’ll also need to be personally aligned with ShareAction’s values and mission.
While we hope we’ll find someone with the majority of the skills and experience in the Job Description, we’re keen to hear from you even if you don’t have them all. We appreciate that lots of skills are transferable, and we welcome an open and honest discussion about how we might support you in any areas requiring further development.
We have a formal hybrid working policy in place. Given the central coordination role that this role will play, there is an expectation that you will be able to come into the office at least once a week to attend team meetings (scheduled on Tuesdays) and other meetings, as needed, with internal and external stakeholders.
What we will do for you
We are a fast-paced organisation that has grown substantially over the past few years. We are delighted to share an exciting opportunity to join our Income Generation team in a newly created Senior Individual Giving and Legacy Fundraiser role.
About the Role:
As Senior Individual Giving & Legacy Fundraiser, you will play a key role within the Individual Giving & Legacy team, leading the delivery of high-impact fundraising campaigns that inspire long term and loyal support. You will be responsible for developing and implementing multi-channel fundraising activity, including appeals, regular giving, lottery and legacy campaigns, helping to secure sustainable income growth and engagement for Tŷ Hafan.
Working closely with colleagues across the charity, you will use insight, analysis and creativity to deliver excellent supporter experiences and maximise campaign performance. You'll also provide leadership to a small team, manage external suppliers and agencies, and help shape the future development of individual giving and legacy fundraising at Tŷ Hafan.
Tŷ Hafan operates a hybrid working model, and the post holder will be required to work on site a minimum of 2 days per week, with occasional evening and weekend work to support fundraising activities/events.
About you:
You are an experienced direct marketing, fundraising or supporter engagement professional with a strong track record of delivering successful campaigns that generate income and build lasting supporter relationships. You understand how to combine data, insight and creativity to develop compelling fundraising activity across a range of channels, and you are motivated by achieving meaningful results that make a difference.
You are a confident and proactive project manager who can balance multiple priorities, manage budgets and suppliers, and keep complex campaigns on track. You are experienced at analysing performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and using evidence to inform future decisions, communicating clearly and effectively with a wide range of audiences.
Ultimately, you are passionate about delivering outstanding supporter experiences that can help Tŷ Hafan provide vital care and support to children with life-shortening conditions and their families across Wales.
Our employee benefits:
Ty Hafan’s ambition is that when a child’s life will be short, no family should have to live it on their own. Sadly, we know that thousands of families in Wales are struggling alone through the fear, exhaustion and uncertainty that comes with caring for a child whose life will be short. We believe that no family should have to live this on their own and we are determined to walk alongside every family through life, death and beyond.
At Tŷ Hafan we are experts at caring for children with life-shortening conditions and our services support families in our hospice, in community settings, local hospitals and in families’ homes. We understand that the needs of each child and their family are unique and we know that caring for a child with a life-shortening condition is often extremely demanding. Our aim is to make sure that no one doing this is alone. Our colleagues, volunteers and supporters are crucial in the delivery of our ambition – we know that everyone plays a huge part in making sure that no family faces their child’s short life alone.
Our Vision: A Wales where every child with a life-shortening condition lives a fulfilling life, supported with the compassion and specialist care they and their family need.
Our Purpose: No family should have to face the unimaginable loss of their child alone. With children and families at the heart of all we do, we provide free care and support in our hospice and in the community, offering a lifeline throughout the child’s short life, at end of life, through bereavement and beyond.
Our Values: At Tŷ Hafan we make a difference by living our values: Demonstrating Compassion, Providing Excellent Service, Working Together and Taking Ownership.
Tips for candidates – all applications and interviews will be assessed using the person specification included within the job description. Please see attached candidate pack for further guidance.
Our recruitment system will automatically time out after 120 minutes of inactivity. To ensure your application is submitted successfully, we recommend either saving your progress as you go or preparing your responses in a Word document and copying them into the application form. This will help you avoid losing any information in case of an unexpected timeout.
Please note this role is subject to the outcome of a basic DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check, two satisfactory references and pre-employment medical clearance.
Tŷ Hafan is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and experiences, including those from under‑represented groups. Recruitment decisions are made based on merit and aligned with our values. Are you a strategic and decisive fundraising leader ready to use your skills and talents so that everyone can know Jesus through the Bible?
At Wycliffe Bible Translators, growth is accelerating, with individual giving up 36% and legacy pledgers doubling to 440 over the last three years. This means supporting more Bible translators, growing local churches, and transforming lives. Remarkably, more Bibles have been translated in the past 30 years than in the previous 2,000. Yet, 1 in 5 people worldwide remain underserved without God’s word in their language. We have ambitious plans to exponentially expand individual giving from £1.35m to £5.6m by 2032, built on strong foundations, team enthusiasm, and expert agency engagement.
As Director for Supporters, you will provide pivotal fundraising leadership to build long-term support through regular giving and legacies while valuing donors deeply. You will guide and empower a motivated team within a genuinely remote-first organisation, recognised in The Sunday Times Best Places to Work list. If you want your leadership to help us say ‘Yes!’ to supporting more Bible translators worldwide, we encourage you to apply.
Key responsibilities:
Grow individual giving income exponentially from £1.35m to £5.6m by 2032, with a focus on regular giving
Pilot, test and scale fundraising products that meet donors needs
Achieve exceptional donor retention rates through shaping a culture of fundraising that puts the supporter at the heart
Lead and empower a talented team and collaborate closely with colleagues to deliver high performance
Benefits include:
It is an occupational requirement of this role that you have a clear, personal commitment to the beliefs set out in our Statement of Faith and Doctrinal Position Statement.
To apply, visit our careers site and complete the short online application, attaching your CV and a covering letter (no more than two pages) summarising why you’re applying, how you meet the person specification, and telling us about your personal Christian journey and church involvement.
