Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, generally 9am to 5pm with occasional evening or weekend work if required.

We have a unique and exciting opportunity for a creative and innovative individual to join the Big C team as our Design and Brand Coordinator.

This is a role where your creativity will have real purpose. You’ll take the lead on creating engaging visual content that connects with our supporters, volunteers, service users, and healthcare and research communities. Working as part of our Fundraising, Marketing & Communications team, you’ll help ensure everything we produce is visually strong, cohesive, and delivered to a high standard.

Youth Outreach Practitioner – Glasgow

Wherever they may be in the world, they face violence, abuse, neglect and exploitation. 

Founded in 1996, Railway Children has dedicated over a quarter of a century to developing outstanding practice and services for street connected children. With projects in the UK, India and Tanzania, we aim to reach these children as soon as they are in danger and intervene before an abuser can.  As we embark on our new strategy to 2030, we have ambitious plans to ensure no child is left behind, wherever we work. 

The role 
We are looking for a Youth Outreach Practitioner for our Glasgow team and are keen to receive applications from those living in and around the City of Glasgow.  You’ll be part of a dynamic team delivering Railway Children’s programme in the UK, in partnership with British Transport Police (BTP).  

As a Youth Outreach Practitioner, you’ll play a key role in keeping children safe from harm by engaging in patrols to identify and safeguard young people (aged 10-17) at risk of criminal and sexual exploitation, county lines, missing from home, homelessness or family breakdown.  

You will also work closely with our Youth Practitioner, supporting a number of young people who have been identified or referred for 1-1 direct support.

Both aspects of the role will involve working directly with young people and their families to reduce risks, as well as building strong relationships other social care, Police, third sector agencies and local services in the area.  

Your base would be near to Glasgow Central Station with regular travel between the station and working in the boroughs of North Lanarkshire, South Lanarkshire, Glasgow and Renfrewshire. This role involves some evenings and weekend hours.   

About you 

You will have experience of successfully engaging and supporting young people and families as well as working in an outreach or similar setting, in a creative and engaging way with young people with a range of needs and vulnerabilities.   

A relevant qualification in an appropriate discipline in working with children and families, community or youth work or equivalent experience is desirable. Alongside this relevant training in safeguarding and/or issues relevant to vulnerable young people and families is essential.

You will need to have experience of providing front line support to safeguard some of the most vulnerable young people in the UK.

Experience of developing productive relationships/partnerships with a variety of organisations such as 3rd sector group, local services and statutory services such a social care to support the needs of vulnerable young people and families is a must.

Working Hours & Location 

This role follows a 37 hours, over a 7 day working pattern. The post holder will also be required to work an annualised hours system which includes working any 5 days out of 7 including statutory holidays. They will also be part of a 24-hour operational standby team responsible for providing emergency cover for the waterway. 

The Volunteering Leader will be based at Calveley, Tarporley Hub. Working along the Middlewich Branch, Llangollen and Shropshire Union Canals.

Role Overview 

This is an exciting opportunity, which offers a great variety of activities and tasks from day to day. You will be the public face of the Trust, working extremely closely with volunteers and with members of the public who visit and use our waterways. Your work will be a combination of day-to-day routine tasks and more exciting and involved project work. You will lead volunteers and the team to enable them to work safely and efficiently and help to foster a safe, secure and vibrant waterway network, where visitors are delighted with their experience. The role includes leading and attending events to publicise the work of the trust, promote our activities and recruit new volunteers. 

Key Responsibilities

• Working outside, undertake on-the-job organisation, control and leadership of volunteer groups, volunteer task days, volunteer lock keepers and our in-house team.
• Leading and attending events to publicise the work of the trust, promote our activities and recruit new volunteers.

We are looking for an organised, proactive, engaging volunteering leader to support the Area Operations Manager. You will provide guidance to a growing number of active volunteers and our in-house team that helps maintain, conserve and improve the environment and heritage of the waterway network for local communities and visitors to enjoy.

Skills & Qualifications

• Experience of working within relevant environment e.g. volunteering, environmental works, customer service operations or maintenance.
• Experience of leading a small team
• Great organisation and prioritising skills
• Effective and engaging communication skills
• Computer literate – with good knowledge of Microsoft Office package
• Full UK Driving licence essential

Walking With the Wounded (WWTW) supports those who have served in the British Armed Forces and their families, specialising in developing pathways to independence.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Veterans Liaison and Officer (VLSO) to join a team providing support to ex-armed forces personnel.  You will be home-based, with a caseload spread across Hertfordshire and occasionally adjoining counties.

We are looking for a dedicated individual who will empower ex-service personnel to regain their independence after a period of Mental Health (MH) Crisis, supporting them to thrive and contribute to our communities.  This role will join a team of existing VLSOs across the  East of England as part of a wider collaborative team within NHS England’s Op Courage - the Veterans’ Mental Health and Wellbeing service, and will work with other service charities and local support services. You will be home based with daily travel around your local region to support your clients and build relationships in the community, whilst working as part of the wider regional WWTW and NHS clinical teams.

We are looking for a highly motivated self-starter with prior experience of working with vulnerable adults; an individual who can work independently to set priorities that accurately reflect the client’s needs.  Your role will be to work with clients in the community (or their homes), facilitating intense support and analysing individual needs to create a support plan that will break down barriers to a successful stabilisation, whilst navigating their mental health pathway.

The Role

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team, with a strong record of developing and stewarding successful and trusted relationships with corporate and community partners, securing income, volunteering support, increased awareness and pro bono support. Ideally from a fundraising background, we are also happy to receive applications from individuals currently working in Sales & Marketing and Account Management.

Working closely with our Corporate Partnerships Manager, this role will have responsibility for growing fundraised income, with an emphasis on developing corporate partnerships and encouraging partners to get involved with events. The role holder will play a key part in helping secure the ambitious targets for FareShare Midlands new Birmingham hub in particular as well as supporting the wider fundraising team in achieving fundraising targets.

Key duties and responsibilities:

• Identify, secure and develop new corporate partnership opportunities, focusing on, employee fundraising, Charity of the Year partnerships, sponsorship opportunities and donations.
• Work collaboratively with the Head of Fundraising, Corporate Fundraising Manager and volunteering team to seek out and develop new business opportunities through networking and prospecting to generate income from our Team Volunteering Days at our Birmingham Hub (soon to be rolled out to our other depots), to include the Community Kitchen and Conference and Collaboration room hire.
• Maximise account management and stewardship activities with our existing portfolio of corporate contacts including face to face meetings and presentations, reviews and updates to drive incremental revenue as appropriate.
• Play a proactive role in researching and prospecting potential corporate and group supporters to then plan and execute engaging approaches in support of delivering income from our challenge events.
• Contribute ideas for innovative fundraising and engagement opportunities to help diversify income and grow supporter reach.

How are staff supported to work remotely?

As a Domestic Abuse Specialist working for Aurora New Dawn, you will work to strengthen the police response to domestic abuse by providing independent, specialist expertise within police control rooms.

Based in a local police control room you will work alongside call handlers, dispatchers, and officers to:

• assess risk and ensure no opportunities for safeguarding are missed
• quality assure police responses to domestic abuse calls
• review incident logs, DASH/DARA risk assessments, and Body Worn Video (BWV) footage
• provide operational advice to officers deploying to incidents
• identify and facilitate referrals into specialist domestic abuse support services
• improve victim safety from the very first point of contact

Working under the direction of a Senior member of staff you will work independently but collaboratively with Thames Valley police, and in line with our organisational values.

This role involves supporting and developing police staff within police centres. There may also be occasions in the future where you attend callouts alongside officers to observe their engagement with victims, to provide feedback that supports risk assessment and safeguarding processes.

MAIN DUTIES

1. Call Review and Quality Assurance

• Listen to live or recently recorded 101/999 calls to assess victim engagement and identify missed domestic abuse indicators.
• Provide constructive, specialist feedback to call handlers to strengthen practice.
• Review selected calls or conduct sampling to identify domestic abuse calls that may have been missed.
• Review body-worn video (BWV) footage as required.

1. Risk Assessment and Escalation

• Review DASH/DARA risk assessments, police logs, and intelligence systems to identify concerns.
• Escalate cases requiring regrading or altered response times to the Force Control Room (FCR) Inspector, documenting all recommendations.
• Identify risk patterns and ensure timely action to safeguard victims.

Thank you for your interest in the role of Interim CEO for Kent Sexual Assault & Abuse Service (KSAAS). This is a 6-month fixed term post to cover maternity leave.

KSAAS (formerly East Kent Rape Crisis Centre) has offered sexual violence services in East Kent since 1993 and we offer ongoing practical support and therapeutic services for survivors who have experienced any form of sexual violence at any time in their lives of in Kent & Medway .  KSAAS holds UKAS accreditation through The Survivors Trust and is Professionally Approved By Rape Crisis England & Wales, demonstrating the consistent, high-quality services that we offer to our survivors.

KSAAS operates Independent Sexual Violence Advisors (ISVA) services and joint ISVA and Independent Domestic Violence Advisors (IDVA) services for those experiencing sexual violence alongside domestic abuse.  We also offer trauma focused therapeutic counselling services for children, adolescents and adults and these services are accessible through various hubs across Kent & Medway. Peer support groups and family advocacy services are available to support families when there has been an occurrence of sexual abuse experienced by one or more family members and our services are supported and informed by the ‘Kick Back’ group,  who are survivors of sexual violence who offer help, support and advice to other survivors and inform our service development.  We also have a range of volunteers who support us with various aspects of the service provision. 

In addition to providing support and therapeutic services, a key function of the organisation is to robustly challenge the societal values, beliefs and behaviour which contribute to sexual violence, through proactive projects that aim to raise awareness, delivery of information sessions in educational institutions, delivery of NOCN accredited Rape and Sexual Abuse training, ongoing activism, challenging attitudes we encounter as part of our work with survivors, focused campaigns and participation in research focused on sexual violence.

In the last year, we worked with > 6000 survivors in our face-to-face services and specialist sexual violence Helpline service and in April 2026 we extended our provision and scope and have been commissioned to be the main provider of ISVA and Therapeutic Support services across Kent & Medway, funded by the Police & Crime Commissioner.

Reporting to the Head of People Business Partnering, you will own the People agenda for your business area end-to-end, acting as a trusted adviser to leaders and managers. Operating autonomously, you will deliver high-quality generalist HR support, manage employee relations and lead people and organisational development activity, drawing on specialist expertise where needed.

Key Responsibilities

- Act as a trusted People Business Partner to senior leaders, providing clear, commercially-focused advice that balances people needs, organisational risk and delivery priorities.
- Coach and support managers to build confidence and capability in leading their teams, handling performance, attendance, conduct and capability matters effectively.
- Lead workforce planning and resourcing activity, partnering with Finance, Recruitment and Talent to address future capability needs and skills gaps.
- Drive organisation design and development activity, including restructures, team design and ways of working, to improve performance, engagement and effectiveness.
- Support performance, talent and succession planning, using people data and insight to inform decisions and challenge assumptions.
- Champion inclusive practice, wellbeing and fair treatment, embedding organisational values and continuously improving people practices.

You will be contracted to our Haig House hub with a minimum expectation of two days per week working in person at the hub and flexibility for working remotely/at home when not on site.

We’re looking for someone passionate about community engagement to help build and strengthen relationships across Medway and Swale. In this role, you’ll connect with local audiences, carry out research to reach new communities, and collaborate with our team to deliver an inclusive and inspiring cultural programme.

Key Info:

● Full-time, 5 days per week (37.5 hours), and due to the nature of this programme, some weekend and evening work will be required
● Hybrid working with a minimum of 2 days per week in the Chatham-based Ideas Test office and regular travel to events/meetings at other locations.
● Salary: £28,000

As Audience Engagement Officer, your role will be to liaise, communicate and deepen relationships with our local communities. You will also carry out the necessary research and monitoring to reach our target audiences. You will work closely with the whole team, as we deliver a compelling, inclusive cultural programme for and with the people of Medway and Swale. We are seeking someone who shares our commitment to socially engaged practice and co-creation. Our work spans multiple art forms and ranges from small, intensive programmes to large-scale public works. We want to create authentic, impactful work with communities over the long term, experimenting and learning as we go. 

Key responsibilities:

• Working with Ideas Test Senior Producers to engage people in our neighbourhood programmes.

• Attend Ideas Test’s events: providing practical support to ensure a quality event, carrying out surveys and encouraging people to join the mailing list.

• Develop and maintain good relationships with community advocates and partners

• In collaboration with the Operations Manager and external evaluator, ensure that audience capture data and evaluation materials are collected and input.

• Maintain a social media presence with active engagement across a range of platforms.

• Ensure information about Ideas Test’s event is updated on the website and listed widely online and via newsletters. 

• Attend professional development training and other relevant opportunities

• Attend regular team meetings and contribute to the development and implementation of Ideas Test’s programme.

• Along with the rest of the team, help to develop, test, pilot and share learning across the programme partners and CPP peer learning networks and community networks (evaluation, audience data, models, case studies, toolkits and strategic documents)

• Be an enthusiastic advocate for the organisation and its work.

• Prepared to work occasional unsociable hours (evening & weekend).

• Ability to travel across Medway and Swale

Desirable:

• Knowledge of analytic and insight tools to develop reach and engagement across digital platforms

• WordPress or similar content management systems to create, edit and maintain webpages

• Knowledge of Mailchimp, Canva, Adobe

• Knowledge and experience of CRM systems and databases

• Practical knowledge of data protection legislation

• Awareness of social inclusion strategies and issues
