The Combined Cadet Force Association (CCFA) is a charity dedicated to the promotion of the ideals and activities of the Combined Cadet Force in schools. Job Summary
The Service Manager - Z House will provide operational leadership for Z House, Caring in Bristol’s emergency accommodation service for young people aged 18–25 experiencing housing crisis.
The Service Manager will be responsible for ensuring that Z House is a safe, welcoming, well-managed and psychologically informed service, where young people are treated with dignity and supported to move towards greater stability and appropriate longer-term accommodation.
You will lead the day-to-day operation of Z House, overseeing referrals and placements, safeguarding with support from our Safeguarding team and risk management, staff and volunteer practice, accommodation standards, partnership working and service development.
The Service Manager role will combine operational management with a strong focus on relationships and practice. You will work closely with the young people using Z House, the wider Caring in Bristol team and partners across Bristol to ensure that the service responds effectively to individual needs while contributing to our wider ambition to prevent and reduce homelessness.
The role will also have capacity to lead or contribute to the development and delivery of additional accommodation or youth-focused projects that sit within the scope of Z House and Caring in Bristol’s Support Services. Veterans Community Occupational Therapist
Location: Remote working
We have two positions available – one based in the North of England and one based in the South of England.
- North: Preferably based in North-West England, including Manchester, Liverpool, Preston, Blackpool and surrounding areas.

Role Summary
The new KidsCan Connect programme aims to create moments of connection for children experiencing cancer and their families. The main areas of activity will be:
Community Programme - The Community Programme will provide accessible, inclusive activities for children, young people, and their families. The focus is on delivering a varied, geographically distributed calendar of events which will support families to develop networks of others with lived experience.
Hospital Activity Programme - The Hospital Activity Programme aims to enhance the inpatient experience through structured, co-created activities that support wellbeing and creativity. Starting at Manchester Children’s Hospital, and developed with NHS Staff, this programme will aim to make children and families’ time on the wards more pleasant.
Future flagship event - There are plans for a flagship event in the future (2027 onwards), which would form a core component of the programme. The Flagship Event is envisioned as a multi day, campus based gathering that brings families together for celebration, learning, creativity, and support.
The KidsCan Connect Lead will work closely with the Charity Manager in order to establish this exciting programme, organise and run activities and to create new ways to support young people and their families. Note that some of the activities and events will run in evenings and at weekends which will require flexible working.
Responsibilities/Duties
Programme Delivery
- Community event delivery: Plan, organise, and run a varied calendar of community activities across the region, ensuring events are inclusive, age-appropriate, and engaging.
- Hospital Activity Programme delivery: Co-create and deliver structured wellbeing and creativity sessions on inpatient wards at Manchester Children’s Hospital, working collaboratively with NHS staff.
- Ensure all activities are delivered professionally, safely, and with warmth, sensitivity, and adaptability.
Programme Development
- Establish a consistent programme structure, including event formats, delivery standards, and child-centred approaches.
- Develop flexible activity plans tailored to different age groups, interests, and needs.

Partnership & Relationship Management

About the role
This Debt Advice Case Manager role combines both technical and pastoral elements. It will involve building a client case, untangling sometimes complex situations, liaising with creditors, providing guidance for volunteers, and discerning and communicating the appropriate choices and strategies for the client. You will also need to lead client appointments and support clients through what at times can be emotionally difficult situations. Hackney Migrant Centre (HMC) is a community-based charity providing free legal advice, casework support and holistic support services to refugees, asylum seekers and vulnerable migrants.

HMC is currently a small team of 7 employees, including a CEO, Community Manager, Immigration Team Manager, Immigration Caseworker and Access to Justice Coordinator, and an Administrative Support Officer alongside a larger team of up to 60 volunteers.
ABOUT OUR SERVICES
We are based in our office in Stoke Newington, where we provide immigration advice & representation and our housing advice and casework support services. We also offer regular community sessions in a local venue on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month. We call these sessions our ‘Wednesday Service’. The Wednesday Service has historically been the heart and soul of HMC, and it continues to play a key role in our service delivery, accessibility and community presence.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Housing and Destitution Caseworker will provide or co-ordinate advice on welfare and housing issues to migrants. This will include people visiting the Wednesday Service or referred by the Immigration Team. The post holder will assist with follow-up casework, and recruit and develop a small volunteer Housing and Destitution Support Team to support with these tasks. The post-holder will work to build partnerships with external specialist advisers, to expand our diagnostic advice provision and support with successful referrals for onward legal challenges.
Main duties
- Provide casework and advocacy support to homeless and destitute migrants regarding housing, and welfare entitlements including asylum support, Children Act and Care Act duties, mainstream benefits and homeless duties.

Develop and coordinate partnerships with external specialist housing advisors to deliver housing advice and take on cases where able.

Recruit and induct volunteers to a small Housing and Destitution Support Team and supervise their work.

Keep up to date with legislation and practical guidance required to support destitute migrants, including attending relevant training sessions.

Provide training to HMC’s volunteers on housing and destitution issues.

Make referrals to public law/community care and housing legal representatives for complex casework and legal challenges such as judicial review.

Build the community of supporters who will sustain Palestine's first and only licensed palliative care service
Bethlehem Care & Hospice Trust (BCHT) is a small UK charity supporting the development of specialist palliative and hospice care in Palestine. In August 2023, the service we support became the first licensed palliative care service in Palestine. Since then, its specialist nurses have cared for more than 350 patients and their families and delivered more than 5,000 home visits.
We now need to build the community of supporters who will help secure that service for the future. We are investing in professional fundraising for the first time and are looking for an enthusiastic, relationship-focused Community & Individual Giving Fundraiser to help grow our supporter base, develop community fundraising and increase regular giving.
The opportunity
This is a new role with considerable freedom to shape how BCHT develops community and individual giving. Working closely with Trustees, patrons, volunteers and existing supporters, you will initially focus on Yorkshire and northern England, where BCHT already has networks on which to build.
You will develop relationships with churches, schools, universities, Rotary clubs, community organisations, businesses and individual supporters; help people fundraise for BCHT; develop regular giving; and ensure that our supporters feel connected to the extraordinary work they make possible. You will also help us develop a more systematic approach to supporter communications, digital fundraising, stewardship and volunteer engagement.
