These roles will lead discrete policy areas, develop robust policy positions, and support the Motability Foundation in improving transport accessibility for disabled people.
The Motability Foundation is building a future where all disabled people have access to accessible transport options so that they can make the journeys they choose. To achieve our ambitions, the Motability Foundation works closely with a wide range of stakeholders to develop, and then advocate for, policy and legislative solutions which result in tangible, real-world change. These roles are exciting opportunities for applicants who wish to play a crucial role at one of the UK’s foremost charities in doing this.
The successful applicants will work closely with the Government Relations and Public Affairs team, as well as colleagues within the Motability Foundation and at Motability Operations, to advance our policy priorities, support the integrated communications strategy, and help raise the profile of issues affecting disabled people in their everyday lives. Building trusted external relationships with policymakers, industry stakeholders and others who shape or influence policy – namely, disabled people and Disabled People’s Organisations. You must be comfortable with effectively communicating complex policy positions to a wide range of stakeholders.
Working collaboratively across the organisation to ensure policy work is aligned and informed by wider insight.
Contributing to the development of the policy function, including its priorities, ways of working, and culture of collaboration, openness, and continuous improvement.

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas: disability and welfare, transport, tax and fiscal policy, or growth policy. About the PVRI
We’re a small charity with a global reach and an important purpose: to reduce the burden of pulmonary vascular disease (PVD) with a particular focus on pulmonary hypertension (PH) - a serious condition that can lead to heart damage and trigger symptoms like breathlessness, chest pain, fatigue, poor growth, fainting, and light-headedness. PH can reduce both quality of life and length of life, but it isn’t widely recognised or well-understood.
We aim to improve clinical care, education, and PVD research. To do this, we bring together an international network of thousands of clinicians, scientists, academics, and industry partners supported by our small team based in Bermondsey, London. Together, we deliver conferences, e-learning, and an academic journal, raise awareness of PVD, and encourage collaboration in research.
About the role
We are seeking a Marketing & Events Officer to help the charity achieve its mission by growing its international profile, driving membership, increasing engagement and income through delivering great marketing, webinars and event communications.
PVRI's events are delivered collaboratively across the charity, and this role acts as the key coordination point for event communications, delegate engagement and webinar delivery. No two days are the same. One day, you might be writing content for our website, emails, newsletters, or social media channels, and the next, you might be welcoming respected speakers and attendees to one of our international scientific webinars.
A key part of the role is supporting marketing and comms for our face-to-face events and working with the team to provide on-site support. These include our annual global scientific congress (often held towards the end of January in a different city around the world) and our biennial symposia (which usually take place in June, usually in the USA or Europe).
Our staff team are not scientists or medical experts – but we are skilled at warmly facilitating and uniting the global scientific and medical expert community. We are seeking someone who has excellent communication and organisational skills, is comfortable with complex medical terminology, genuinely cares about our mission, and will bring energy, skills and commitment to this exciting role.
If this sounds like you, we can’t wait to hear from you!
What we can offer
We offer a 35-hour working week and flexible working, a positive learning culture, international travel, and opportunities for you to learn and grow in your role. And for those who prefer hybrid working, we’re based in a vibrant, sociable office space close to London Bridge and Borough Market.
PVRI celebrates diversity and is committed to equality and inclusion in our recruitment practices and ways of working. If you’re excited about our mission and can bring talent and enthusiasm to our cause, we’d love to hear from you.
How to apply
To apply for the role, please send us your CV and a supporting statement (max 850 words) outlining what you could bring to the role and referencing the person specification. Please send these, together with the Equalities Monitoring Form, to Katie Corris by 09:00 on Monday, 07 September.
PVRI is a registered charity, number 1127115.
The client requests no contact from agencies or media sales.

The Campaigns Lead will work closely with the Head of Campaigns on driving forward our high-impact campaigns for economic systems change.
For at least the first year, the Campaigns Lead will be working primarily on our coalition campaign on the cost of living crisis, Cost of Living Action. The campaign relaunched in early 2026 and has a vital role to play in putting media and political pressure on the government to take action.
We also work closely with those most impacted by the crisis and aim to centre the voices of those with lived experience of economic hardship in all that we do. This role leads two of the most consequential shifts in our 2026–2028 strategy. First, our move from a narrative-based to an evidence-based organisation: designing our impact measurement framework, leading the rollout and adoption of the Impact Hub (our custom CRM and data platform), and embedding data-driven decision-making across every team. Second, the community around our programmes: the trusted community and education referral partnerships that bring young people to us, and the structured alumni community that keeps them connected, supported and contributing after they complete our programmes.
WHAT YOU OWN
Impact framework : the organisation's impact measurement framework, metrics and indicators.
The Impact Hub (CRM) : the platform, its roadmap, adoption and supplier relationship.
Data governance : data quality standards, validation protocols and UK GDPR compliance.
Evaluation methodology : how programmes and services are evaluated, including external evaluation partnerships.
Referral partnerships : the community and education referral partnership model and its members.
Alumni strategy : the alumni engagement model, tiered support structure and Advisory Council.
Organisational reporting : impact reporting to the board, funders and the public.

The Impact Hub ~ Lead the delivery, rollout and adoption of the Impact Hub, including migration from Upshot, in line with the phased plan in the Data & Digital strategy : and own its roadmap as the organisation's insight platform thereafter.
Stakeholder Engagement Framework (Governance) ~ Act as guardian of the unified stakeholder engagement framework, defining the standards, data capture requirements and reporting consistency that all teams apply across our five stakeholder groups.
Community & Education Partnerships (Referral Pipeline) ~ Design and deliver the structured referral partnership model set out in the Talent & Engagement strategy, piloting quarterly cohorts of university, faith-group and community-organisation partners with clear MOUs, shared objectives and referral tracking through the Impact Hub.
Alumni Community & Engagement ~ Design and deliver a structured 12-month alumni engagement calendar with audience-segmented communications, supported by Impact Hub data.
Reporting & Funder Evidence ~ Produce evidence-based impact reporting for the board, funders, partners and public communications, supporting grant bids, corporate stewardship and the annual report.

Help us shape the future of community funding across the West of England
Quartet Community Foundation is looking for an experienced, collaborative and forward-thinking Head of Programmes to lead our grant-making and programmes work across Bristol, Bath & North-East Somerset, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.
This is an exciting time to join Quartet. We recently launched our new three-year strategy 2026-9, containing ambitious plans to increase our impact through grant giving, strengthen our understanding of local communities and raise the profile of place-based giving. The strategy outlines how we aim to diversify and strengthen our donor base, driving increasing philanthropic giving, so that we can distribute £6.5 million in grants annually by 2029. As Head of Programmes, you will play a key role in turning that ambition into action.
You will lead and develop our grant-making programmes, ensuring they are informed by community need, insight and evidence and reflect best practice in equitable and accessible funding. You will work closely with local communities, voluntary and community organisations, funders and partners to understand emerging needs and identify opportunities for collaboration and innovation. You will be able to administer funds directed by local authorities and other partners to their specification, bringing a high quality service and repeat “business” to our revenue funding through high quality grant assessment and distribution.
You will also manage and support our experienced Programmes Team, three direct reports, ensuring an environment where they can develop, perform at their best and embody a culture of continual improvement (please see attached staff plan).
