Responsibilities of our Health and Safety Officer:
- Conduct in-person health & safety and fire risk assessments across centres and shops, ensuring compliance with legislation and internal policies
- Investigate accidents and incidents, analyse trends, and recommend preventative actions
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, training, assessments, and incidents in line with data protection requirements
- Work with colleagues across teams to implement remedial actions from inspections and audits
- Promote completion of H&S e-learning and identify additional training needs
- Build strong relationships with staff and volunteers to foster a positive safety culture

About the Health & Safety and Environment team:
The team manages most Health and Safety functions in-house and works closely with departments across Cats Protection. It includes a head of department, senior officer, environment and sustainability lead, administrator, and four regional officers covering the UK. The team supports retail outlets, Cat Centres, accident investigations, DSE, and branch volunteer enquiries.
What we’re looking for in our Health and Safety Officer:
-Lives in or around the South-West of England or South Wales
- NEBOSH general certificate (or equivalent) and membership of a relevant professional body
- Significant experience (3+ years post qualification) in a similar health & safety role, ideally in public sector, facilities, or charity setting
- Experience working across multiple sites
- Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation and best practices
- Excellent communication and influencing skills across all levels
- Able to work independently, manage workload, and perform under pressure

We're looking for a skilled and motivated Personalisation Budget Performance and Insights Lead to oversee the performance, monitoring and continuous improvement of the Greater Change Personalisation Fund.
This innovative £1 million partnership between Birmingham City Council, Greater Change and Birmingham Voluntary Service Council (BVSC) aims to improve outcomes for people who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, or experiencing multiple disadvantage through personalised financial support.
You'll work closely with partners across housing, homelessness, health, criminal justice and the voluntary sector to ensure the fund is delivering real impact. By analysing performance data, identifying emerging needs and providing strategic insight, you'll help shape service improvements, strengthen partnership working and support better outcomes for Birmingham residents.
This is a varied role combining performance management, partnership development, data analysis and strategic coordination. Role Summary:
The Programme Development Officer is responsible for ensuring that The Girls' Network develops high-quality, consistent, and impactful programmes for girls and young women across all regions. Working closely with the colleagues in the Programme team, volunteers, and education establishments, the post-holder will support the development and continuous improvement of our mentoring, workshop, and ambassador offer. They will ensure that programmes are grounded in best practice and aligned to organisational strategy. Key responsibilities include leading programme quality assurance, developing resources, and delivering staff and volunteer training, while embedding learning from delivery to strengthen outcomes.
Alongside programme development duties, the post-holder will also be a member of the safeguarding team, acting as a Designated Safeguarding Officer (DSO). In this capacity, they will support the organisation's commitment to providing safe and inclusive programmes to girls and young women. Programme Development
Support the development and continuous improvement of The Girls' Network's programme offer, ensuring delivery aligns with organisational strategy and responds to the needs of the girls and young women we serve.

Take ownership of The Girls' Network volunteering platform, ensuring it effectively supports volunteer engagement and delivery.

You will work within EcoRecord to deliver high quality data products and services to a range of customers and users. EcoRecord is part of a network of Local Environmental Records Centres across the UK and provides information services to a wide range of users such as local authorities, statutory agencies, ecological consultants, national and local recording schemes, and others.
The post of Biodiversity Data and Evidence Officer is a central and varied role within EcoRecord, that will include making use of GIS mapping and specialised databases to analyse and digitise ecological data. About Lively Minds
Lively Minds is an award-winning NGO with nearly 20 years of experience designing, testing and scaling early childhood development (ECD) solutions across the Global South. Our core idea is simple but radical: parents are the sleeping giants of ECD. Governments and donors have long overlooked parents, assuming that poverty and low literacy make them unable or unwilling to support their childrenʼs development. We have spent two decades proving otherwise. With RCT-backed evidence and a national-scale proof point in Ghana, we have demonstrated that parent-powered approaches, delivered through government systems, can achieve meaningful child development outcomes at scale.
Our 2026–2028 strategy marks a pivotal shift. Having demonstrated what is possible, we are now helping pioneer an innovative model of country-led sustainable scale. Rather than delivering programmes ourselves, we provide lean, time-limited technical advisory support to governments to help them integrate parent-powered ECD into their own systems, budgets and institutions. We are currently working with the governments of Ghana, Uganda, Oromia state (Ethiopia) and The Gambia in 2026, growing to six or more country engagements by 2028. Purpose of the Role
Lively Minds is at a critical inflection point. We have the evidence, the model and the momentum. We now need the funding, profile and sector influence to match our ambition. The Director of Fundraising and Communications is a priority hire, created to provide the dedicated, experienced leadership that this moment demands.
The Director will own and drive Lively Mindsʼ income generation, building new funder relationships, managing and deepening existing ones, and ensuring the organisation has the pipeline, discipline and quality of engagement to meet and exceed its fundraising targets. Working in close partnership with the Founding CEO, who retains ownership of a small number of long-standing strategic relationships, the Director will take primary responsibility for securing the funding that makes the 2026–2028 strategy deliverable, and that opens the door to greater scale beyond it. We need to raise approximately £3.4m over the next 3 years to deliver our strategy. But our ambition is to exceed that target so we can support additional governments.
Alongside fundraising, the Director will provide strategic leadership to Lively Mindsʼ communications and advocacy work, ensuring that the organisationʼs external voice is compelling and that we are building credibility in the spaces where funding decisions are made. The Director will lead and provide strategic coherence to a small but outward-facing team, including Head of Partnerships and Advocacy Lead who are active on the international stage. Lively Minds is committed to thought-leadership and active external engagement, but equally committed to ensuring that communications resource is deployed with discipline and rigour. The post holder will need to show clear evidence of relationship building and working with underrepresented groups. A key part of the role is understanding the needs of cancer patients and their families and of health inequalities.

You will need the ability to set priorities, work under pressure with great attention to detail and understand and meet the training and development needs of volunteers. Who you’ll work with: Your line manager will be the Head of Fundraising. There is also a full-time Fundraising Officer in the team who will provide some support for this role. A key part of the role will be establishing and facilitating dads’ stay-and-play groups across Birmingham’s Family Hub areas. These groups will provide opportunities for dads to spend quality time with their children, meet other fathers, build supportive relationships and access support in a welcoming and informal environment.
The postholder will also provide one-to-one peer support, drawing appropriately on their own lived experience to build trust, offer encouragement and help fathers and partners feel less alone. They will support individuals to access relevant mental health, wellbeing, family and community services where needed.

We are looking for a Trusts Officer to join their small, passionate team. This is a fantastic opportunity to ensure INF UK’s key supporters feel valued and connected with the charity. In partnership with Nepali organisations you will support marginalised people to overcome the barriers they face due to issues such as disability, poverty, gender or caste.
Please note that this is a part time role, the hours are 22.5 hours per week (increased hours will also be considered, to a maximum of 30 hours per week).

The Role
As Trusts Officer you will report directly to the Philanthropy and Trusts Manager, supporting them to deliver the highest level of stewardship to donors.
As part of the Fundraising and Communications team, you will make an important contribution towards the development of income from major donors and trusts and foundations.

We are looking for someone who aligns with INF’s values and is passionately committed to their cause. You must be creative, compassionate and empathetic.
This role requires exceptional organisation and the ability to work proactively with initiative. As a small team being approachable, supportive and working collaboratively is key. Proven experience of building successful relationships both internally and externally is also vital, as well as exceptional written and verbal communications skills.
Prior experience in trusts fundraising would be advantageous, however an understanding of how your skills and experience would be transferable in the role would also be considered.
