Purpose of the post
The Development and Partnerships Officer will support the stewardship of partnerships and the delivery of partnership campaigns that generate income, reach and impact for the organisation. The role will provide essential coordination, administration and relationship management support, helping to ensure partnerships are well managed, activated effectively and aligned with strategic objectives.
The ideal candidate will have experience of stewarding partnerships, fundraising, delivering across multiple projects. Key responsibilities
The role will work across the charity to support the delivery of partnership and national campaigns which generate income, reach and brand value for the organisation. It will provide essential coordination, administration and relationship support, ensuring partnerships are well managed, activated effectively and aligned with delivery requirements.
Stewardship: Partnership & Stakeholder Engagement

Supporting the income generation, growth and development of The Reading Agency.

Build and maintain relationships with a range of partners, including but not limited to funders, businesses and the publishing sector.

Campaign Planning & Delivery

Support the design and implementation of fundraising strategies and campaign plans, including coordinating online and in-person events, outreach activity and partner activations.

Liaise with the digital marketing team, inputting into the content schedule across social media and other channels, working with colleagues to agree priorities.
Communications & Resources

Coordinate with creative and media agencies and internal teams to manage briefs, timelines and approvals.

Proofread and edit content across channels to ensure quality, consistency and brand alignment.
Gifting, Distribution & Logistics

Support the coordination of book and materials gifting programmes, including liaising with publishers, suppliers and delivery partners.

Maintain records of stock, distribution and fulfilment.
Research, Evaluation & Reporting

Work with the evaluation team to support the development of project reporting metrics and assist with data collation and analysis.

Ideal skills and experience:
- Significant experience planning, delivering and evaluating high-quality donor or stakeholder events across in-person, hybrid and digital formats, with clear evidence of aligning events to cultivation and stewardship objectives
- Excellent project management skills, able to manage multiple complex workstreams simultaneously, meet deadlines, maintain high standards of detail and manage budgets effectively
- Demonstrable experience working in an operations or support role, with responsibility for coordinating systems, processes and infrastructure that underpin fundraising or relationship management activity
- Proven ability to design, improve and embed efficient, compliant systems and processes, including gift administration, data integrity, income reconciliation and structured pipeline management
- Strong experience using CRM databases or similar platforms, maintaining accurate data, overseeing data quality and confidently learning new systems and reporting tools

About the role
As Finance Operations Officer, you will play a key role in delivering a high-quality finance operations service across the organisation. You will ensure accurate and timely processing of income and costs, maintain strong financial controls and reconciliations, and help colleagues across the business understand and use finance processes effectively. You will also work collaboratively with internal teams, external suppliers and partners, including Save the Children International and its member organisations, to support statutory and donor reporting, audits and continuous improvement across our finance systems and processes.

About you
To be successful, it is important that you have:
- Experience in a complex organisation delivering finance operations across income and cost accounting, reconciliations, retail controls, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Proven experience of month-end and year-end processes, including journals, data uploads, payment runs and resolving financial issues.
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting concepts and their application within a charity or not-for-profit environment.

As Finance Officer, you will support and deputise for the Finance Manager in all aspects of the finance role including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, bank and cash reconciliation and the processing of donations (please see the Job Description for more details). You will also support our residents in the management of their money and benefits and accompany them to relevant appointments. A driver’s licence is essential for this role.
You will have relevant accounting/bookkeeping qualifications e.g. AAT Technician Level and have experience of financial management, ideally in the not-for-profit sector. You will be a quick learner, able to manage multiple priorities and enjoy working as part of a small team that has a real impact upon people’s lives.
Yeldall Manor is a Christian organisation, and this role requires a committed Christian faith to meet the occupational requirements (in accordance with Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010). - Collaborate with Retail, Care and other fundraising teams to maximise referrals and cross-team opportunities
About you
Essential skills and experience:
- Proven experience of growing income through regional community engagement, ideally within a charity setting
- Either line management or substantial coaching/mentoring experience
- Experience of working with community leaders
- Experience and evidence of first-class relationship management techniques and donor care
- Experience of organising events, managing volunteers, risk assessments and health and safety requirements
- Track record of cross-team working with examples of impact, ideally this will include collaborating with corporate partnerships teams
