This is an exciting opportunity to join the successful Mind in Bexley Recovery College team. The Recovery College was formed by Mind in Bexley in 2014 and our purpose is to develop and deliver programmes of self-management, awareness and information sessions for adults with experience of mental ill-health to promote wellbeing and recovery, for their relatives and friends and for professionals working in the London Borough of Bexley.
As a Recovery College Facilitator, you’ll be a key point of contact within the Recovery College. Your responsibilities will focus around designing, delivering, evaluating, reporting and the continuous development of structured learning programmes for people with mental ill health. You will help shape the ongoing vision and goals of the Recovery College to ensure that future development of the service meets the needs of the people it supports. You will also participate in external forums, workshops and events to promote the work and ethos of Mind in Bexley.
Key Responsibilities
1. Make a positive contribution to the delivery of a thriving, innovative and effective Recovery College.
2. As part of the Recovery College team, deliver both face to face and online courses, workshops and groups according to curriculum requirements.
3. As required, design, deliver and evaluate courses, workshops and groups ensuring co-production at each stage.
4. Ensure effective learning takes place by using evidence based interventions, appropriate teaching methods and learning processes.
5. Demonstrate effectiveness by achieving high levels of student retention, measuring impact, increased involvement of participants and positive individual progress.
6. Contribute to the development of best practice within the service.
7. Undertake client assessments and regularly review individual progress.
8. Support individuals in setting learning goals and participating in workshops, courses and groups to ensure positive learning outcomes.
9. Keep accurate and up to date records of client including attendance, assessments, progress and impact measures.

Main Purpose: To provide integrated classroom and employment support to learners on The Autism Project (TAP), enabling them to develop independence, employability skills, and readiness for adulthood. The role combines in-class learning support with job coaching responsibilities, including work placements, employer liaison, and learner progression tracking.
You will work with: TAP staff and senior management team, Employer Engagement Officer, other CareTrade staff, local authorities, and other external partners e.g., external partners (e.g. schools, employers), as well as learners and parents/carers.
Your place and hours of work: Main office at Larcom Street, SE17 1RT plus regular travel throughout London. Hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5.30pm (allowing an hour for lunch). 37.5 hrs. a week. The organisation is a leading nonprofit consultancy that helps mission‑driven organisations scale their social and environmental impact. Through consultancy, training and structured programmes, our client supports organisations to strengthen their models, build the systems and capabilities needed for scale, and create long‑lasting change.
This role is available on a permanent and full-time or part-time basis (4 days a week). The salary is £50,000 per annum. This is a hybrid role where you will attend the Southwark office in London one day a week, on Wednesdays.
The Training Manager will lead the delivery and development of the organisation's training portfolio, overseeing high‑quality facilitation across multiple programmes, translating business development scopes into project plans, and managing end‑to‑end training delivery. You will build trusted relationships with partners and funders, act as an external training expert, and drive the creation of new capacity‑building offers and learning infrastructure.
The role includes line management, coordinating associates, strengthening internal training capability, and ensuring consistent facilitation standards. You will sign off content, lead quality assurance, grow the training pipeline, develop proposals and contracts, and represent the organisation at events. You will also contribute to organisational learning, codify best practices, support recruitment, manage project and team budgets, and make informed delivery, communications, and partnership decisions.
To be successful in this role, you will have significant experience designing and delivering training or capacity-building programmes, including stakeholder programmes. You will have strong facilitation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences and adapt delivery to context. You will have experience managing projects end-to-end. You will have the ability to scope and design learning interventions in response to client needs. You will have experience line managing or mentoring junior staff or associates. You will have strong written and verbal communication skills and experience holding relationships with funders or strategic partners, including ongoing account or relationship management. You will be comfortable working independently and managing multiple workstreams simultaneously.
Experience working in or with mission-driven, nonprofit, or social sector organisations is desirable. Other desirable experience includes: familiarity with adult learning theory or established learning and development frameworks, experience acting as a trainer of trainers or building facilitation capability in others, experience contributing to business development, including proposal writing or pitching, and experience working with funders or delivery partners in a training or capacity-building context.
