This exciting role will lead on all aspects of the finance function, including managing managing the Finance & Systems Officer, overseeing the production of year-end accounts in collaboration with internal stakeholders and auditors, and preparing monthly management accounts for reports to the Senior managers and trustees. Responsibilities also include stewardship of the Foundation’s liquid assets, leading the budgeting and forecasting processes, verifying monthly payroll prepared by HR, and ensuring the efficient operation of the purchase ledger function.
What does the role involve?
- Coordinate across the Foundation and help prepare the annual statutory accounts and all schedules for audit and be the lead liaison with the auditors.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and budgets for review by senior management, providing analysis and other measures of performance.
- Lead on improving processes and systems across all aspects of finance and liaising with the wider organisation to drive these forward.

In our Women’s Respite Service in Camden, you’ll be working with women who have faced abuse, exploitation and homelessness, often after systems have let them down. TITLE: Borough Service Manager - Ealing

JOB PURPOSE: To manage and develop the Weekend Social Club on behalf of the organisation within the agreed business plan.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1.Running a Service
The Borough Service Manager is responsible for ensuring that the running of a service is done in line with Build on Belief mission to offer a place where clients users and volunteers can get on-going peer support from others with similar experiences through a range of activities, in line with Build on Belief Core Values and abiding by the Policies and Procedures of Build on Belief and the Build on Belief Standards of Practice and Operational Guidelines (hereafter referred to as SOPOG).
2. Staff Management
The Borough Service Manager will be responsible for a small team and will be in charge of ensuring that their Service Support Workers, Team Leaders, Facilitators and Volunteers work within the Policies and Procedures applicable to them and the SOPOG.
They will be responsible for the supervision of their Service Support Workers and the Team Leaders. The remaining volunteers will be supervised by Build on Belief Service Support Workers.
The Borough Service Manager will be accountable for ensuring their Service Support Workers complete accurate timesheets, comply with the Annual Leave policy, report absence, and keep accurate financial records and petty cash and supervise volunteers in accordance with the SOPOG.
The Borough Service Manager will support the Service Support Workers in ensuring that all required reporting and paperwork is submitted on time and to acceptable levels of competency.
3. Finance
The Borough Service Manager is responsible for all financial accounting and reporting related to the day to day running of their service in accordance with the SOPOG.
The Borough Service Manager will be accountable for all petty cash activities in the service centre ensuring the following:
• All financial matter relating to petty cash and vouchers are undertaken in line with the guidelines set down in the SOPOG.
• For the reporting of all financial matters to the Chief Operating Officer within the timelines set down in the SOPOG.
• For accurate and immediate reporting of any financial irregularities to the Chief Operating Officer within 24 hours of them coming to notice.
4. Training
While the in-house training programme will still be delivered centrally, or on-line the Borough Service Manager is accountable for ensuring that they, and/or their Service Support Workers deliver the following workshops to their volunteer teams three times per calendar year:
• Boundaries and Confidentiality
• Safeguarding
• Communication Skills
• Dealing with Difficult Behaviour
• Diversity & Discrimination
5. BoB Policies and Procedures
As per their contract of employment, Borough Service Managers are responsible for abiding by all Build on Belief Policies and Procedures and to make sure Service Support Workers and Volunteers also comply with the policies that are applicable to them. This includes the Standards of Practice and Operating Guidelines.
In addition to compliance with the Serious Incident Policy, all Team Leaders and Service Support Workers are responsible for reporting all incidents occurring in their service as detailed below. The Borough Service Manager is accountable for ensuring the guidelines below are adhered to without exception.
6. Incident Reporting
The Borough Service Manager will be responsible for ensuring Incident Reporting is done within both the guidelines and timelines set out in the SOPOG.
•All incidents, including those that may be considered minor, persistent, and abusive language being and example, will be reported in writing within 24 hours of their occurrence.
•Incidents that take place on-line or through other digital activity will also be reported in writing within 24 hours.
•Incidents will be recorded on the Build on Belief incident report form and sent to the Chief Executive. They will be password protected.
•It is expected that the Chief Executive will be notified by telephone of serious incidents on the day of their occurrence. When the Chief Executive is unavailable, through sickness or annual leave, it is expected that the incident will be reported by telephone to the Head of Services.
•Where applicable, incidents will be uploaded onto Datix within 24 hours of their occurrence.
•Any incident that results in an individual being excluded from a service, however short a period, will be considered an incident and must be reported in writing within 24 hours of its occurrence. It should be noted; there are no exceptions to the above.
7. Relationship Management
The Borough Service Manager will be accountable to work in partnership with the service providers ensuring an effective and constructive relationship with them as well as engagement with the local community, in compliance with the SOPOG rules and the Code of Conduct making sure all issues and incidents are reported to the Chief Executive.
8. General
•To promote and represent the BoB Social Club to service users and service professionals in the Borough, ensuring access to any service user who might benefit from the project.
•To ensure the services provided by the Social Club are run in a safe, supportive, and non-discriminatory fashion in line with Build on Belief Core Values and abiding by the Policies and Procedures of Build on Belief and the Build on Belief Standards of Practice and Operational Guidelines.
•To ensure the Social Club meets the needs of the service user community in the Borough, and to carry out development work to the service when necessary.
•To ensure the Service Support Workers, Team Leaders, Facilitators and Volunteer work within the Policies and Procedures applicable to them and the SOPOG, and receive supervision as detailed in those policies.
•To ensure that incidents are dealt with effectively and within the guidelines set down in the Policies and Procedures and SOPOG, and that all such incidents are reported in writing as detailed in those policies.
•To work with the Operations Manager regarding the development of the weekend service and the management of volunteers.
•To record statistical data relating to service users attending the Social Club and submit monthly reports to the Operations Manager. To provide end of year statistical reports and analysis of said data, working with the Operations Manager.
•To promote Social Club services and events to service users and service professionals within the Borough in conjunction with the other Managers of BoB services.
•To work with other members of staff to ensure the service is run in line with the Standards of Practice and Operational Guidelines for the charity.
•To attend Build on Belief Management Committee Meeting in the role Borough Service Manager, and other such meetings as may be deemed necessary, and to work within those meetings for the best interests of the Social Club and the local partnership.
•To prepare for and attend monthly supervision session with the Operations Manager.
•To abide by all the policies and procedures of Build on Belief as given to you at the start of your contract with the organisation.

The Justice Together Initiative was launched in 2020 with a decade-long vision that people who use the UK immigration system can access justice fairly and equally, enabling them to get on with their lives. It is a unique and ambitious collaboration of several funder partners who have pooled more than £15 million of new funding to strategically invest in legal advice, strengthen immigration sector organisations over the long term, and local and national influencing to support the lawful and fair functioning of immigration, nationality, and asylum processes. As Influencing and Grants Manager you will work with colleagues, funder partners, sector experts and directly affected communities to lead the implementation of Justice Together's influencing strategy.

Core responsibilities within the role will be as follows:
- Work with colleagues, funder partners, sector experts and directly affected communities to lead the implementation of Justice Together's influencing strategy
- Lead the day-to-day delivery of Justice Together's influencing work, identifying opportunities to shape policy, public debate and practice
- Build and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders including parliamentarians, policymakers, sector bodies, campaigners and funders
- Monitor political, policy and sector developments relevant to migration, racial justice, access to justice and the advice sector, and advise colleagues on emerging opportunities and risks
- Coordinate responses to consultations, policy developments, parliamentary opportunities and external calls for evidence
- Manage consultants or external specialists engaged to support influencing activity
- Convene and facilitate meetings, briefings and events with grant partners, funders and other stakeholders to support shared influencing priorities
- Work with colleagues and partners to capture learning from influencing activity and use this to strengthen future work
- Manage a small caseload of grants, building positive and constructive relationships with grant partners
- Work closely with the Grants Manager and colleagues on grant renewals, recommendations and decision-making processes including preparation of papers and summaries for the Grants Committee and other internal decision-making meetings

About the role
The Principal & International Giving (PIG) team is responsible for securing principal and transformational gifts of £5m+, and high-level gifts of £50k+ from across the international philanthropy portfolio.
The Business Support Manager provides critical operational, programme and business support and management to enable the continued success and evolution of the Principal and International Giving programme.
This is a fast-paced and varied role, spanning business operations, cross-team coordination, and international activity management. The postholder will work closely with the Principal Giving and International Philanthropy teams and sit within the wider Business Operations unit, ensuring P&A operates in an efficient, joined-up and high-performing way. They will therefore report to the Senior Business Manager, with their day-to-day activity supporting the Associate Director of Principal & International Giving and the Head of Philanthropy (International).

About the role:
You will work with the Senior Service Manager to ensure the protection of women and children’s rights. You will represent Advance in partnership meetings and deputise for the Senior Service Manager as required, working closely with partners such as the Police and Social Care teams to improve services for survivors of Domestic Abuse.
You will have responsibility for supporting and line-managing, including performance management, domestic violence frontline workers to provide a high-quality front-line service to women experiencing violence against women and girls while ensuring that Advance’s values, policies and procedures are embedded into service delivery.
You will also take the lead in day-to-day crisis situations and provide day to day advice and guidance on casework, safeguarding and information sharing concerns. You will oversee and improve the duty system while also overseeing rota systems including ensuring there is regular attendance at the MARAC and specialist court.

You will have a thorough understanding of violence against women and girls with a particular focus on domestic violence (physical, emotional and sexual violence, ‘honour- based violence’, forced marriage and FGM). With an excellent understanding of the impact of domestic violence on children and young people, families and communities. A breadth and thorough knowledge of safeguarding practice, procedures and legislation. A good understanding of the operation of the criminal justice system, MARAC and public sector environment in which services operate. Brining significant experience of building and maintaining a strong and motivated team. About the role
You will join a team managing Galop’s specialist advocacy services, providing support to LGBT+ victims and survivors of abuse and violence in the UK, with a specialist focus on hate crime and hate-motivated abuse. You will work within the advocacy management team to deliver advice, support, and advocacy to thousands of LGBT+ victims and survivors of interpersonal abuse and violence each year.
You will manage a team of specialist advocates and triage workers providing needs-led support, information and advocacy to LGBT+ survivors of a range of violence and abuse. You will work with the Head of Advocacy and other advocacy managers to ensure that survivors have access to needs-led, timely support that is right for them, maintaining high quality, consistent support across our advocacy and one-to-one support, whether that is in-person or remote.
You will have an in depth understanding of the spectrum of violence and abuse that LGBT+ people are subjected to, including the causes, impact and barriers to accessing services. You will use your expertise to represent Galop with key stakeholders, advocating for the needs of the community.
You will also have management and oversight of the CATCH Partnership, a pan-London consortium of by-and-for hate crime support services, that cover all protected strands of hate crime across race, religion, disability, sex, sexual orientation and transgender status. You will need to have excellent partner management skills and be able to lead and support a diverse range of organisations with an understanding of their specific needs and challenges.
You will be responsible for ensuring that data collected about the service is collected consistently and use this to report to funders. It’s an opportunity to develop skills, gain new experience and support RF across programme coordination, outreach and engagement and impact. You will play a key role in helping to plan, deliver, promote and evaluate the programme, making sure everything runs smoothly and ensuring RF young people have a great experience.
Key Contributions
Programme Coordination:
- Supporting the day-to-day coordination of RF’s programme and maintaining programme systems and processes including databases and spreadsheets
- Attending drop-in sessions and holiday activities to support the young people. Term time drop ins take place Wednesdays 5-7pm. Holiday drop-in sessions take place at different times. (Evening work will be time taken back in lieu)
- Acting as lead coordinator for RF’s mentoring programme
Outreach and Engagement:
- Supporting the Programme & Outreach Manager around communication with schools, hospitals and other stakeholders to build partnerships that promote growth of young people, including supporting to deliver assemblies, hold meetings and other external visits as required
- Acting as a confident and reliable point of contact for young people at RF, building positive, trusted relationships to encourage active participation on the programme
- Supporting with tracking and reporting the progress of each young person throughout their 3-year journey
Marketing & Communications:
- Developing and coordinating programme communications including social media content and marketing materials
- Collecting and writing stories and testimonials from the young people and their families to share impact
- Updating the website and digital content
General:
- Ad hoc projects as necessary
- Building effective, productive and collaborative working relationships with everyone at RF and external partners
- Adhering to RF’s policies and procedures at all times
- Attending and engage in team and external meetings
About You
You will be a self-starter with a passion to work with young people; proactive, organised and have excellent communication skills; and creative, knowing how to create engaging marketing and social media content.
You may already have experience in the charity sector, in youth work, or another related field, but most importantly you will have experience in project planning and coordination and really enjoyed it or are keen to build skills in this area and feel you would be good at it.

- Experience using Microsoft 365 packages (Word and Excel)
- Creative skills with experience using Canva
- The ability to thrive in a small but busy charity
- A willingness to learn
- An enhanced DBS check or willingness to apply for one

What we can offer
Salary: £26,000 - £29,000 depending on experience
