Role Requirements
· In collaboration with the Placement Managers, you will ensure care is appropriately planned and resourced, and you will ensure care is delivered in a safe manner at all times.
· You will be responsible for ensuring that the care in the Houses enables the children to access rehabilitation sessions, clinics, education and leisure activities as scheduled in their timetable.
· You will work as part of a leadership team comprising of a House Unit Manager, 4 x Deputy House Managers / Deputy Clinical Leads and 4 x Clinical Leads.
With experience of working in a complex environment, across a large and diverse workforce, you will be exceptionally organised with a high-level of attention to detail. Purpose of the Job
Commercial Manager will identify, develop and manage top food partners relationships and strengthen existing business relationships with companies in the food industry, generating value for the partner and to secure growing and sustainable volumes of surplus food for the FareShare Network. For designated top food partners, you will be their day-to-day point of contact with regular face to face contact at all levels.
You will undertake structured, strategic account management, leading and coordinating FareShare’s engagement across our organisation. This will mean agreeing and executing a bespoke joint business plan with each account to get more food, money and strategic support. You will also feedback on ways that we can better support our accounts and improve our services to them. You will work directly and be on-site with top food partners to help identify and overcome the barriers which exist to giving surplus food to people in need as well as increasing money and strategic resource.
You will also be required to work closely with FareShare colleagues within FareShare and across the UK in our partner organisations in order to identify and understand opportunities for creating mutual and shared value.
Duties and Responsibilities
Partnership Management
• Contribute to the development of consistent, structured Joint Business plans with
designated accounts that take into account food, funding and other strategic initiatives to drive growth in food, money and other strategic resources
• Work on behalf of the account to develop and embed services relevant to the account and agreed through the joint business plan – e.g. employability or store level redistribution
• Execute joint business plans and report internally and externally on progress.
• Research and understand your accounts, including key ESG initiatives, waste streams, key personnel within the organisation that will help drive its success and engage the relevant internal departments through both desked based research and face to face contact.
• Proactively drive account forwards and progress these relationships with regular on-site visits and linking FareShare exec with key contacts.
• Keep up to date with industry and charity insights and ensure this is reflected back strategically across ways of working and account management.
Project and Initiative Management
• Be responsible for managing and communicating key projects and initiatives to increase food volumes and strategic value, securing support from a range of stakeholders within food partners and across the FareShare network.

You will be joining a team focusing on supporting our work with young people accessing creativity and employment in the creative industries and directly supporting the creative studios which sit below our venue.
As part of a team of 5, raising £700k for the current year, rising to £1m by 2028, as part of an overall fundraised income goal of £6 Million. The role reports into the Head of Philanthropy and sits within the directorship of Partnerships and Impact, which also holds the organisation’s programmes with young people and public affairs. You’ll be responsible for driving your own portfolio of 90 prospects and donors, including 4-figure and 5-figure levels.
A day in the life of a philanthropy manager could begin with researching and identifying prospects from a recent event; giving a studio tour to prospective donors and enthusing them about our youth programme; preparing a report for a major donor about our work with young entrepreneurs; and ending the day in the members bar with a current supporter who’s there for a gig.
Weekend and evening work will be required according to business needs, mainly through attending departmental events with donors and attending the members bar.
About you:
We would expect applicants to this role to have at least 3 years previous experience in managing a portfolio of prospects and donors and securing gifts toward charitable aims or projects. The ideal candidate would also have management experience of staff or volunteers and of working in a team towards a shared fundraising goal.

The Role
The Social Media Manager is responsible for all aspects of Global Witness’s social media presence, including day-to-day channel management, content creation, paid social campaigns and influencer/creator engagement. You will work with colleagues from within the Communications team and across the whole organisation to ensure our social media content contributes to our awareness, advocacy and income goals, while remaining aligned with our brand and values. You’ll also lead on reporting and optimisation, using data to inform content decisions, and stay on top of digital trends to help Global Witness make smart choices about which platforms and opportunities to prioritise over time. This is a highly collaborative role requiring creativity, strategic thinking and excellent communication skills.
Who we are looking for
• Substantial experience managing organisational social media accounts across multiple platforms, including content creation, scheduling and community management.
• Proven ability to produce compelling, audience f irst content tailored to different social channels and formats.
• Experience managing paid social campaigns, including targeting, testing and evaluation — ideally for fundraising or supporter acquisition purposes.
• Strong copywriting and editing skills, with the ability to simplify complex issues and craft messages for digital audiences.
• Excellent understanding of social media analytics, tools and reporting, with experience using insights to drive content performance.
• Experience in working with digital influencers and managing outreach and relationships.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Desirable
• Experience working in a campaigning, advocacy or non-profit environment.
• Familiarity with digital tools such as Hootsuite, Meta Ads Manager, Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
• Understanding of ethical considerations in digital engagement, including brand safety, accessibility, and responsible influencer partnerships.
• Interest in and understanding of environmental and climate issues.

Key result areas:
Fundraising
· To set the strategic direction for income generation at Age UK Merton, developing and delivering a sustainable portfolio of future-focused fundraising that grows income and optimises the supporter journey over the long term.
· To lead the diversification of income, reducing reliance on any single partner or
activity and building a resilient, balanced fundraising portfolio that represent a high return on investment and grows our supporter base. This will be via individuals, corporates, trusts & foundations, statutory bodies and the community; cultivating long-term, meaningful partnerships, enhancing Age UK Merton’s reach, influence and income-generating potential.
· To strengthen and grow the legacy pipeline, overseeing effective stewardship and marketing, and will oversee the external lottery, ensuring regulatory compliance and annual growth.

· To oversee the editorial direction, design, production, distribution and quality of the organisation’s publications.
Strategy and Partnerships
· To work as part of the Executive Team, shaping the organisational strategy, culture and cross departmental ways of working.
· To lead the development and delivery of seamless income generation and engagement strategies and annual operating plans aligned to organisational priorities.
· To set, manage and monitor budgets, ensuring clear targets, KPIs and accountability across teams.
· To provide high-quality analysis, reporting and insight to inform strategic decision-making, Board reporting and accountability to funders.
· To ensure robust management of restricted and contractual funding, setting financial controls, to comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
· To act as an ambassador and spokesperson for Age UK Merton, representing with
Professionalism, confidence and compassion.
· To build and maintain strategic partnerships, networks and relationships to strengthen visibility, influence and community engagement.
Governance, Compliance & Risk
· Ensure compliance with the Charity Commission, Fundraising Regulator, the Gambling Commission, advertising standards and GDPR/data-protection legislation.
· To contribute to strong risk-management frameworks, ensuring early identification, mitigation, and appropriate investigation of risks.
· Oversee policy development as applicable for the department.
People
· To grow and develop a high-performing team, and to make the case for further resource investment where appropriate, in order to recruit and develop a multi-disciplinary team covering income generation, marketing, communications and engagement, with a view to develop a culture of creativity and professionalism across the entire team.
· To ensure effective performance management, with regular 1:1s, appraisal, individual and team development and succession planning.
· To embed, review and optimise new team structures and systems to maximise efficiency, impact and income.
· To ensure volunteers are effectively integrated, supported and aligned to organisational priorities.
