This exciting role will lead on all aspects of the finance function, including managing managing the Finance & Systems Officer, overseeing the production of year-end accounts in collaboration with internal stakeholders and auditors, and preparing monthly management accounts for reports to the Senior managers and trustees. Responsibilities also include stewardship of the Foundation’s liquid assets, leading the budgeting and forecasting processes, verifying monthly payroll prepared by HR, and ensuring the efficient operation of the purchase ledger function.

What does the role involve?

• Coordinate across the Foundation and help prepare the annual statutory accounts and all schedules for audit and be the lead liaison with the auditors.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and budgets for review by senior management, providing analysis and other measures of performance.
• Lead on improving processes and systems across all aspects of finance and liaising with the wider organisation to drive these forward.

What skills, knowledge and experience are we looking for?

• Up to date knowledge of charity financial legislation and best practice
• Innovative in the development of processes, procedures and information systems to support the work of the team and organisation

Befrienders are in every Group across the UK and enable online support groups too.

This post is all about developing, delivering and managing our fantastic volunteer befriender programme across Sands. Ensuring that Sands befrienders are enabled to provide warm, supportive, evidence-based and values-driven peer support to bereaved families across the UK.

This maternity cover post will have two key focus areas

- Maintaining key components of the befriender programme, including regular communications and meeting with Befrienders, driving recruitment opportunities, supporting innovation in Befriending and troubleshooting in partnership with volunteers.

- Deliver a fixed timeline project focused on developing the Befriender programme.

Responsibilities

Best practice in peer support and befriender programmes

• Manage the direction and growth of the Befriender programme
• Work with the Development Leads and Community Development Officers to create plans for regions to support existing Befrienders and grow the peer support offer across the UK

· To engage, inspire and support existing Sands befrienders, providing a positive volunteer experience from recruitment to saying goodbye

• Be the point of contact for Befriender safeguarding issues. Be proactive in addressing and be an escalation point for challenges, risks and safeguarding issues.

• Practice and support excellent standards in all aspects of inclusion and diversity, particularly in reaching marginalised groups in recruitment and enabling volunteers to provide inclusive support spaces. 
• Lead on development of processes, guidance and resources, ensuring good governance and risk management of the Befriender Programme
• Work with the Volunteering Coordinator to ensure delivery of key processes, process development and improvement to enhance the volunteer experience. 

· To identify learning and development opportunities for befrienders and create a culture of continued learning for all Befrienders

Develop and innovate

• Be an opportunity spotter, picking up innovation opportunities to grow and develop the Befriender programme, alongside relevant Sands’ staff teams. 

• Manage short- and long-term projects and where appropriate join cross organisational working groups to represent the Community and Volunteering Team. Including projects that may have budgets.

• Advocate the voices and needs of Befrienders, bringing in knowledge and feedback to enable good decision making and volunteer participation in new ways of working

• Through supporting approaches to recruitment and partnerships, ensure that individuals with a wide range of bereavement experiences are at the heart of Sands’ volunteering 

· Build a data driven understanding of gaps in service and representation, and make promotion and recruitment decisions to support growth for under-represented towns/regions/groups

· Support continuous improvement and accurate delivery of processes in the welcome journey for new befrienders, including in recruitment, on-boarding and off-boarding processes in partnership with the Volunteer Coordinator

· Use the CRM to record accurate information and help make data informed decisions

Internal and external partnerships 

• Work with the Bereavement Support Services Team (BSS) to ensure collaboration across the Befriender programme and national BSS support groups and ensure the Befriender programme continues to be rooted in trauma-informed practice.
• Work with the Training Team to ensure that training and learning experiences for Befrienders are up to date, relevant and accessible.

• Work with the Philanthropy and Partnerships team and the Head of Community and Volunteering to maximise compelling cases for support, storytelling and funding opportunities at a national and local level.

· Work with the Engagement Team to ensure Sands befriending is represented in an engaging and positive way across Sands social media and the media

This is a pivotal role, supporting the co-ordination and administration of our income, fundraising activity, financial management, cost efficiency, impact data, and funding reporting. We are now recruiting IPS Employment Advisors to join our IPS service to join our Kingston & Sutton team. Major Trauma Centre (MTC) project is funded by Violence Reduction Unit and is delivered under Solace CYP portfolio of diverse service provisions.

The MTC project supports young people of all genders and aged 11-25 who present at St Marys Hospital, Kings College Hospital, Royal London, and St Georges Hospital who have experienced, or are at risk of, domestic abuse, sexual violence, sexual exploitation, honour-based violence, and any other form of gender-based violence.

This role provides intensive crisis support and advocacy to young people impacted by gender-based violence who present at emergency or any other MTC departments. The MTC project is run in close partnership with MTC safeguarding teams, where individual Youth IDVA sits, and together we deliver excellent holistic support for survivors, as well as delivering training and advice to hospital stakeholders.

About the Role

The Youth Crisis IDVA delivers high‑quality, person‑centred, strength‑based and trauma‑informed advocacy and casework to survivors of abuse. Through careful identification of risk and need, the role involves developing robust safety plans and working in close partnership with statutory and local agencies to minimise the risk of further harm.

You will actively promote the service within the co‑located hospital by building strong, collaborative relationships with hospital staff, particularly safeguarding teams, nurses and clinicians, to ensure a consistent flow of appropriate referrals. You will regularly design and deliver training to hospital staff to raise awareness of domestic abuse and other forms of gender‑based violence. You will also respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns and represent cases at MARAC where required.

Cerebral Palsy Sport (CP Sport) is recruiting three Regional Programme Delivery Officers to support the delivery of the “Together We Can” Young Ambassador Programme across England.

You will be responsible for delivering the Young Ambassador Programme within your region, supporting young people aged 10–20 with CP to take part in training, social action, and community-based activity.

You will work closely with Young Ambassadors to:

UWC International is seeking a Senior Philanthropy Lead (USA) to advance major gifts fundraising and strategic philanthropic engagement across the United States.  This is a newly created role, reflecting our ambition to significantly grow our fundraising capability and expand our reach. Reporting to the Director of Development and partnering closely with the UK-based Executive Director, you will lead the cultivation of a high-value donor portfolio, secure transformational gifts, and build long-term, trust-based relationships with individuals, foundations, and partners who share our vision.

This is a pivotal senior role with the opportunity to elevate UWC International’s presence in the U.S. while developing your own expertise within a globally connected organisation. You will work alongside experienced international fundraisers, including senior leadership and board members, offering a unique platform to learn, grow, and influence strategy at the highest level. Bringing strategic insight and creativity, you will help grow income, strengthen donor engagement, and advance key priorities, including the UWC Global Endowment and ambitions set out in our  2030 Strategy. Collaboration will be central—working closely with schools, particularly UWC-USA in Montezuma, New Mexico, as well as national committees and dedicated supporters to unlock new opportunities for impact.

The role is UK-based with regular travel to the United States, though we are open to exploring a U.S. base for the right candidate. We are looking for a relationship-driven leader who combines sharp strategic thinking with a strong track record in major gifts fundraising. Experience or strong knowledge of the U.S. fundraising, advancement, or development landscape would be a distinct advantage. You will have knowledge of the political landscape in the UK and experience working with or in government departments, academia and NGOs on a range of policy issues.

Job Description:

Management and Strategy

• Support the policy portfolio of campaigns and projects across our national policy areas, including on food prices and food inflation, our Good Food Bill campaign, Healthy Start and early years.
• Work closely with the Policy and Advocacy Manager to develop and implement project plans and deliverables across these areas
• Maintain a careful record of our policy impact according to our agreed metrics within our Monitoring Evaluation and Learning framework.
• Policy and research
• Synthesize evidence for and play a significant part in the development of position statements/briefings/reports, working closely with the wider policy team and our designer.
• Support the Public Affairs lead to develop policy products for use in parliamentary engagement.
• Working closely with our Research Lead, identify evidence gaps and policy research questions which are relevant to our policy work to support new positions and generate new ideas for research or evidence collection which help achieve our policy goals.
• Work where needed with external contractors in the delivery of specific pieces of work, setting clear expectations and holding them accountable for delivery.
