Therapeutic Management
-
To manage and support a staff team, including the Head of Active Recovery, a Counselling Lead, Nexus Counselling Manager, a Family Support Group Facilitator, and administrators.

To oversee all of the charity’s therapeutic services and ensure that efficient and high-quality services are delivered.

To be the charity’s Designated Safeguarding Lead to respond effectively and efficiently to safeguarding concerns.

To ensure staff are sufficiently trained in adult and child safeguarding and that training records are kept up-to-date.

Client Work

To provide one-to-one counselling for survivors of abuse of all genders, both online / by phone and face-to-face, with a caseload of approximately 4 clients.

To attend monthly one-to-one clinical supervision with a supervisor approved by the Southmead Project. (Supervision is a requirement of this charity as members of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy).

Person Specification
ESSENTIAL:

Diploma in Counselling (British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) accredited course or equivalent); and to have BACP accreditation or be working towards BACP accreditation or equivalent.

To be a registered member of BACP, UKCP, NCS or equivalent professional body, with over 5 years of supervised counselling experience.

Responsibilities and Person Specification:
This role supports the charity’s media and PR programme, helping to secure positive coverage and strengthen its reputation through proactive and reactive communications. It will contribute to the organisation’s ambition by increasing awareness, influence, and engagement with key audiences across traditional and digital media channels.
Working within the media communications team, the post-holder will lead on media planning and PR projects, identifying opportunities for both short-term campaigns (such as report launches) and longer-term storytelling by spotting future hooks and moments to promote key messages and calls to action. The role will also support wider team strategy development and contribute to a busy and responsive press office.
You should have experience in media relations and press office activity, including drafting high-quality media materials such as press releases, statements, op-eds and thought leadership content. You will also need strong judgement to respond to enquiries, manage reputational issues in real time, build relationships with journalists and outlets across the UK nations, and monitor, evaluate and report on media coverage.

The role
We are seeking an experienced Manager of Philanthropic Giving with a strong track record in securing major gifts. The Manager of Philanthropic Giving will be predominantly home based within the UK (with occasional working and meetings at Derby HQ) and will work in co-operation with the fundraising team and all myaware colleagues to deliver agreed fundraising targets and campaigns. Own transport is essential for this role as occasional travel throughout the UK will be required to attend donor meetings, events and networking opportunities, as well as the ability to travel to the Derby office. There may be the need to occasionally work during weekends and evenings and therefore there is a need to work flexibly when required.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated fundraising professional with a strong track record in major donor fundraising along with experience in Trusts and Foundations fundraising. You will have experience in personal communication in asking for high level funds, and experience of stewarding high net worth individuals to maintain high levels of engagement over a significant period. You will have experience of Trusts and Foundations fundraising including pipeline management and stewardship, writing compelling funding applications and impact reports.

Myaware is the only charity in the UK dedicated solely to the care and support of people affected by myasthenia.
We are working hard to raise awareness of myasthenia, as it is a little-known condition. We provide support for people with myasthenia and their families, whilst offering advice and tips for living with the condition.
We also fund the research that brings us closer to finding a cure as well as funding specialists nurses and advisors.

About the Role
As an IDVA you will provide high quality support to victims of domestic violence and abuse. You will deliver and provide support in five key areas to support victims to:
- Feel safer
- Feel informed about their rights and the criminal justice system
- Feel listened to and heard
- Be able to implement healthy coping mechanisms
- Be connected with services who are available to help them
Key Responsibilities:
As an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate you will:
- provide appropriate non-therapeutic support to victims of domestic abuse via their preferred contact method.
- undertake needs and risk assessments to develop tailored individual safety and support plans to address the specific needs of the victim.
- use a bespoke case management system to maintain accurate and confidential record keeping and contribute to the collection of outcomes.
- liaise with the police, social services, CPS, and other agencies on the client's behalf, with the client's consent maintaining confidentiality
- provide information to victims to enable them to make informed choices about their future options.
About You:
Ideally, you will hold an approved and accredited IDVA qualification (or you must be willing to work towards one)
You will need:
- A strong understanding of domestic abuse and violence and the impact this has on victims.
- Experience of working with victims of crime (preferably domestic abuse) including completing risk assessments and safety planning
- Experience of managing a caseload and keeping clear case management records.
- Experience of adapting communication styles to be able to effectively communicate.
- An understanding of trauma informed practice and how to implement this within your work
- A through understanding of the criminal justice system and the Victim's Code
- An understanding of confidentiality, safeguarding and other legal requirements
- Good IT skills including experience with working within bespoke case management systems and using Microsoft Office Packages.

As a IDVA you will provide high quality support to victims of domestic violence and abuse. You will deliver and provide support in five key areas to support victims to:
- Feel safer
- Feel informed about their rights and the criminal justice system

Key Responsibilities
As an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate you will:
- provide appropriate non-therapeutic support to victims of domestic abuse via their preferred contact method.
- undertake needs and risk assessments to develop tailored individual safety and support plans to address the specific needs of the victim.
- use a bespoke case management system to maintain accurate and confidential record keeping and contribute to the collection of outcomes.
- liaise with the police, social services, CPS, and other agencies on the client's behalf, with the client's consent maintaining confidentiality
- provide information to victims to enable them to make informed choices about their future options. Ensuring that the voices, needs, rights and legal entitlements of older people are heard and understood by all individuals and organisations.
About You:

- A strong understanding of domestic abuse and violence and the impact this has on victims.
- Experience of working with victims of crime (preferably domestic abuse) including completing risk assessments and safety planning

The Financial Wellbeing Coach is a new post that will play a key role in strengthening the financial resilience of nursing and midwifery professionals. The Strategic Communications Officer will be part of the Corporate Communications team – one of several specialist teams in the wider Department.
The Strategic Communications Officer will play an important role in delivering high‑quality campaign and communications activity that supports ARUK’s strategic goals. We are looking for a proactive and ambitious Digital Engagement Officer to join our Marketing and Communications team, reporting to the Head of Marketing. You will take ownership of our UK and US websites and support the delivery of our email communications. You will play a key role in developing and optimising our website and email communications, supporting the Head of Marketing to build brand awareness and drive customer acquisition to generate sustainable long term income. You will be someone who naturally spots opportunities for improvement, thinks creatively, and uses data and insight to evolve our digital channels. With a hands‑on and can‑do approach, you will help strengthen engagement, grow our supporter base, and bring our mission to life online.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing updates across the UK and US websites using WordPress for content updates, imagery, navigation and site structure as needed.
- Leading the development and optimisation of engaging website content to drive acquisition and effectively engage existing audiences.
- Monitoring website performance, accessibility, core web vitals, and overall site health, raising issues with developers as required.
- Analyse website traffic, user behaviour, and conversion performance to inform optimisation and improvement opportunities.
- Own and optimise key digital user journeys, identifying friction points and driving conversion improvements across channels.
- Leading the planning, building, and delivery of all email communications for UK and US audiences.
- Developing and optimising automated email journeys using segmentation and behavioural triggers to improve engagement and retention.
- Reviewing and creating fresh, engaging email content that reflects user needs and organisational priorities.
- Managing our fundraising and event platforms, ensuring donation journeys are clear, user-friendly, and accessible.
You should have:
- Proven experience in a digital engagement role, preferably in the non-profit sector
- Proven expertise managing website content (WordPress or similar).
- Proven expertise using Charity Digital & Virtuous (or similar email platform)
- Experience in writing compelling and effective copy to engage specific audiences
- Basic understanding of HTML/CSS.
- Strong understanding of UX principles, accessibility, and responsive design.
- Experience using analytics platforms (e.g. GA4, GTM).
- Understanding of GDPR, data privacy, and digital safeguarding.
- Ability to interpret data and use insights to guide improvements.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to user-centered design.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, helping to translate content for digital channels.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Creative, innovative, and proactive mindset, wanting to explore new ways to improve our digital channels.

At Dementia UK, we make sure families affected by dementia don’t face it alone. Through our specialist Admiral Nurses, we provide expert advice and support when it’s needed most. As we grow, having effective systems in place is key to how we work and deliver our impact.
We are looking for a Finance Systems Manager to lead how our finance systems support the organisation now and into the future. This role focuses on developing a systems roadmap, optimising our technology to ensure systems are efficient, well integrated and support strong financial processes.
You will bring a solid understanding of finance alongside experience of managing or implementing finance systems. Taking a systems-led approach, you will look at how processes can be improved, automated and better connected, while also being comfortable taking a hands-on role in system configuration, troubleshooting and day-to-day support when needed.
You will work closely with colleagues across Finance, IT and the wider organisation, using data and insight to improve reporting, data quality and efficiency. Experience with cloud-based systems, data warehouse environments and modern reporting tools would be beneficial, but we are open to different system backgrounds.
We’re looking for someone who combines strong finance knowledge with a systems mindset and who can work collaboratively while leading change and improvement. Charity experience is advantageous but not essential.
