Axial SpA is an inflammatory condition of the spine and joints. Inflammation where muscles attach to the bones causes extreme pain, and if left untreated, it can permanently fuse bones together. It's an invisible and misdiagnosed condition, often leaving people feeling powerless, in increasing pain and extreme exhaustion. We campaign policy makers for early diagnosis and better services, work with the NHS to get axial SpA identified and diagnosed quickly, and build an active community, online and through our local branches across the UK. We are with them all the way. Axial SpA may work silently. But we don't.
We are a small team, looking for a part-time Fundraising Assistant to work alongside our existing Fundraising Officer, with a focus on engaging our donors and supporters and acting as first point of contact for many of our fundraisers, alongside maintaining accurate records and administration that keeps our fundraising running smoothly. You'll support activity across our income streams as part of our internal Fundraising Board, alongside our CEO, Head of Fundraising and Fundraising Officer. We are passionate about transforming lives for people with axial SpA. We truly value our people, who do meaningful work that directly impacts the lives of people living with axial SpA. You'll be supported to succeed and genuinely appreciated for your contributions. We pride ourselves on our collegiate spirit and willingness to support each other in all aspects of our work. We operate a hybrid model of working, with some staff working remotely for most of the time, so applicants need to be comfortable with working in this way. For this role, we will expect you to work from the office at least 2 days per week.
Strong organisational skills are important, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. You should have excellent attention to detail and accuracy, confident communication skills, both written and verbal, and a genuine interest in fundraising and passion for our mission.

Background and Aims of the Community Health Champion Programme
This role is for our Community Health Champions Programme (CHC). The programme is led by and for City & Hackney’s diverse communities. Community Health Champions (Champions) empower residents to become aware of, take ownership and work towards more positive health and wellbeing outcomes.
This is achieved by the programme sourcing, recruiting, training and supporting a diverse cohort of Champions who live, work, volunteer or study within City & Hackney. Our vast network of 230+ Champions who amongst them speak 40+ languages, are instrumental in tailoring and sharing vital health messaging with residents and feeding back insights, concerns and questions which are then used to develop more bespoke, relevant and culturally nuanced health messaging. Champions, with support from the programme, give voice to communities with varying levels of health literacy: how residents access, assess, and engage with healthcare information, services and systems.
The programme was launched during the Covid-19 pandemic but has now expanded to focus on wider health issues and wider determinants of health such as mental health and wellbeing, long term conditions, diet and nutrition.
Purpose of the Role
The Communications and Engagement Officer will lead on programme communications, coordinating and delivering the day-to-day communications that power the Community Health Champion CHC) programme. The primary goal of this role is to equip Champions with accessible, inclusive, high-quality communications content, tools and resources enabling them to effectively engage in the programme whilst building trust and improving health literacy across City & Hackney.
This is a hands-on role focused on amplifying community voices, positioning and showcasing the continued impact of Champion activities, maintaining a positive programme reputation, and ensuring our health messages reach the people who need them most.

Hackney School of Food is an award-winning food education hub based in the grounds of Mandeville Primary School in Clapton, East London. About the role
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Managing Director (MD) will provide both strategic and operational leadership, ensuring the organisation delivers its mission while remaining financially resilient, well-governed and responsive to the needs of the communities it serves.

REDRESS is looking to appoint an Advocacy Officer to deliver our work on policy advocacy with a focus on the United Kingdom, including on Magnitsky Sanctions, and work with survivors and survivor communities on our policy advocacy campaigns. We are seeking applications from intermediate professionals with some previous experience in human rights advocacy to contribute to this work.

REDRESS is an international human rights organisation based in London and The Hague that pursues legal claims on behalf of survivors of torture in the UK and around the world to obtain justice and reparation for violations against their human rights. Our approach to legal claims is strategic, so that as well as representing an individual we target the policy reasons that enabled the torture to take place, by building campaigns that uses advocacy, survivor participation, and communications to influence change.

Position Profile
The main responsibilities of the role are:
UK Advocacy. Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders relevant to REDRESS’ UK policy objectives, including government departments, parliamentarians, parliamentary committees, NGOs and academics. Draft written materials and briefing papers for policymakers, and respond to government enquiries and consultations, and undertake direct advocacy.
Sanctions Advocacy and APPG. Deliver REDRESS’s UK advocacy on Magnitsky sanctions and asset recovery for reparation. This includes supporting REDRESS’s role as secretariat for the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Magnitsky Sanctions and Reparation and conducting advocacy to key stakeholders: the FCDO, Treasury, Home Office, parliamentarians and others.
Survivor Advisory Group. Work collaboratively with the Survivor Advisory Group to support our work with survivors and survivor communities on our policy advocacy campaigns.
Upholding the Absolute Prohibition of Torture. Support and deliver our policy advocacy work in the UK relating to other issues, such as an effective system for universal jurisdiction prosecutions, responding to threats to the absolute prohibition of torture, and responses to UK torture overseas. Conduct advocacy work related to the legal right to consular assistance and State hostage-taking.
Project Management. Manage and deliver specific project activities which include administrative tasks, budget management, planning and participating in the delivery of meetings and events, as well as other tasks related to project management.
Teamwork/Collaboration. Work collaboratively with REDRESS team members and external stakeholders, always exercising professional integrity. Supervise fellows and interns.
Representing REDRESS. Contribute to the wider needs of the organisation, including communicating REDRESS’ work to a wide array of audiences.

Essential Competencies
The successful candidate will need to have the following essential competencies:
· At least three years relevant post-qualification professional experience.

Terms
Reporting. The position will report to a Senior Legal Advisor.
Hours. This is a part-time position at 21 hours a week. Evening and weekend work may be required from time to time.
Location. The position is based at the REDRESS office in London.
Flexible Working. REDRESS is an “in-person” organisation and we value teamwork, but we have a flexible working policy which allows for working from home. This role is currently required to be in the office one-two days a week.
Duration. The contract is for a fixed term of 12 months (maternity cover).
Start date. The position would start in September 2026.
Probation. There is a four-month probationary period.
Pension. REDRESS offers a pension contribution of 10% of salary.
Holiday. There are 25 days of holiday per year, in addition to UK public holidays. The office is also closed between Christmas and New Year.

The Education Officer will work with the Canon Chancellor and the expert volunteers who support this department to develop, grow and deliver the schools and formal learning offers at the cathedral. In addition, they will work with others to develop the interpretation and activities for families and children, helping them to discover the cathedral and its work.
The post of Education Officer is located within Ripon Cathedral, which is a place of Christian worship and mission within the Church of England. Education Programme Development
