As part of the CfA funding, we have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Officer to join GSF. This is a part-time role, based remotely within the UK.

This role will be central to ensuring that all financial aspects of the Communities for Afghans programme are delivered to the highest standards of accuracy, compliance, and transparency. You will oversee budget management, financial reporting, grant payment processes, and fraud prevention measures, ensuring that every pound is spent in line with government and contractual requirements.

You will work closely with other team members, Sponsor Groups, and funders to ensure financial processes are efficient, clear, and fully compliant. This is an opportunity to make a real impact by ensuring that funding reaches Afghan families quickly and appropriately, enabling them to settle into safe homes and begin building their new lives in the UK.

About the Role

As Finance Officer, you will:

· Manage programme budgets, spending, and grant tracking to ensure every aspect of funding is compliant with grant conditions.

· Act as the primary point of contact for Sponsor Groups and internal staff on finance-related queries.

· Maintain meticulous financial records for audit purposes and ensure timely and accurate reporting to funders.

· Implement strong controls and authorisation processes to ensure financial probity.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The role will involve the following, but is not exhaustive:

Financial Management & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with government grant conditions and all funder requirements.

• Manage the Communities for Afghans programme budget and track expenditure.

• Contract management and compliance monitoring for all funding contracts.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for audit purposes.

• Arrange deposits for accommodation when required.

Payments & Authorisation

• Design and maintain a clear payment authorisation flow.

• Process payments and invoices efficiently and accurately.

• Require proof of spend / evidence packs from Sponsor Groups using standard templates.

• Process payments to Sponsor Groups only after authorisation.

Monitoring & Fraud Prevention

• Work with the Sponsor Group Relationship Manager and Sponsor Groups to ensure grant funds are used correctly, providing guidance on compliant spending and supporting them to submit evidence packs using standard templates.

• Carry out periodic spot checks and reconciliations of Sponsor Group expenditure to confirm accuracy and transparency.

• Implement fraud controls, such as dual sign-off and audit trails, to safeguard programme funds.

• Provide independent assurance of correct grant usage within six months after the end of the financial year, helping to identify and address any issues proactively.

• Report any significant compliance concerns to the Operations Director and contribute to improving financial processes where needed.

Sponsor Group Support

• Ensure guidance and templates are clear, accessible, and consistent with funder requirements.

This is a new role at a genuine moment of growth for SSE - we expect to recruit over 600 social entrepreneurs across our learning programmes next year and every one of them starts with a good assessment.

About the Role

Support & Impact Manager

12 month fixed-term contract - Must be available to start October 2026.

Location – Home-based with regular travel across a designated region and to our office as required. This role will cover a region comprising East Riding, Lancashire, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, and Sheffield & Hallamshire. The role requires regular travel across this geographical area, and successful candidates must be able to travel throughout the region as required to fulfil the responsibilities of the role.

Delivery Manager

PURPOSE OF ROLE

Major donors and philanthropists are currently responsible for over a quarter of Caudwell Youth’s annual income – due in part to the generosity of the networks of our founder, John Caudwell.

As Caudwell Youth enters its fourth year, we are seeking a Senior Philanthropy and Corporate Partnerships manager to help us expand beyond our strong founder-led base into a sustainable major donor and corporate supporter portfolio.

Proactive and commercially-minded, you will be confident driving and developing all stages of the major donor and corporate supporter stewardship process. Confidence in engaging in new business research, prospecting, initial meetings and pitches is a must, as you will be responsible for growing our small pipeline of supporters and warm prospects into a long-term income stream.

This is essential to Caudwell Youth’s future sustainability, with corporate partnerships and major donor income currently making up 30% of Caudwell Youth’s annual fundraising income (forecast to be around £450,000 this year).

Our ambition is to increase this revenue stream by around 50% to over £800,000 by 2030, in order to support more at-risk young people from across the UK, as set out in our recently launched strategy, Going National.

This is a role for a self-starter who is excited to drive high value growth and be a key part of Caudwell Youth’s upward trajectory, working within a small but dynamic fundraising team. It offers significant opportunity to shape and lead this area of fundraising as it grows.

You will be an experienced fundraiser with a proven track record of securing major gifts of four, five and six figure gifts, familiarity with managing corporate partnerships and evidence of growing and developing new pipelines and revenue streams.

You will own a significant portion of this income stream, with responsibility for securing new high-value relationships and growing existing supporters.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Operating at a senior level within the fundraising team, this role will take the lead across Caudwell Youth’s philanthropic and corporate giving.

Working closely with the Fundraising Director to drive income growth and strategic development, your key duties will include:

MAJOR DONORS & PHILANTHROPISTS

You will manage a mixed portfolio of existing supporters and warm prospects, while building a pipeline of new high-value opportunities. To do this, you will:

• Take personal responsibility for securing, retaining and growing high-value (four, five and six figure) gifts and philanthropic partnerships, by engaging in detailed prospect research and building contacts with high-net-worth individuals and their intermediaries to create a pipeline of new opportunities.
• Provide a high-quality supporter stewardship experience to Caudwell Youth’s existing major donors and philanthropists and warm prospects, tailoring this to their wishes to create a unique journey for each donor which seeks to deepen their engagement with the charity. This may include:
• Personalised reporting
• Bespoke communications
• Face-to-face meetings and events
• Unique ways to be consulted on and engage with our work
• Opportunities to be recognised.
• Lead on the continued growth, development and stewardship of Caudwell Youth’s Oracles fundraising board in order to maximise its annual revenue.
• Support John Caudwell’s Charity Pioneer with the stewardship of existing and potential Life Changers Circle donors, including through hosting cultivation and network events.

CORPORATE PARTNERSHIPS AND FUNDRAISING

• Develop our corporate support pipeline, seeking to strengthen connections with existing corporate donors. This will include developing partnerships typically in the £10,000 - £100,000+ range through CSR, fundraising and sponsorship opportunities which align with Caudwell Youth’s values.
• Work with major donors and philanthropists, colleagues across the charity, volunteers and other stakeholders and contacts to proactively identify new corporate fundraising opportunities for Caudwell Youth.
• Work on Charity of the Year applications, pitches and proposals in conjunction with the Senior Leadership Team and representatives from volunteering and operations as required.
• Act as an account manager and first point of contact for corporate supporters of Caudwell Youth, coming up with tailored programmes of supporter engagement to maximise their fundraising, increase connection with our cause and engage them in strategic multi-year support partnerships.
• Supported by our Supporter Engagement Coordinator, encourage our corporate donors, major donors and philanthropists to meaningfully engage with our challenge fundraising programme.
• Review our existing Torchrunners model as a means of engaging corporate supporters as a group.

ACROSS THE FUNDRAISING TEAM

• Promote other ways to support Caudwell Youth, including gifts in wills, payroll giving, help in kind, challenge fundraising, charity-wide appeals and campaigns, events and digital content to your network of major donors, philanthropists and corporate supporters as appropriate.
• Work in partnership with the Grants and Impact Lead to develop applications and reporting for family philanthropic trusts where required.
• Work effectively as part of the fundraising team, together seeking ways to enhance and strengthen each others’ activities and diversify our revenue streams as required, including in relation to systems, policies, supporter engagement communications and fundraising events.
• Attend team meetings, personal work reviews and relevant meetings proactively and as a contributor.
• Deputise for your line manager as required in their absence, with support from the rest of the SLT.

ACROSS CAUDWELL YOUTH AND EXTERNALLY

• Work with Caudwell Youth’s operations and volunteering teams to create bespoke and sustainable opportunities for major donors, philanthropists and corporate supporters to engage in our work, while ensuring the needs of the at-risk young people that we support are always put first.
• Collaborate with our communications team to develop compelling copy and content which promotes our corporate fundraising offering and major donor support as required.
• Develop strong collaborative working with the wider teams to maximise income generation, and promote good communication and shared focus

ADMINISTRATION

• Use our CRM database, Beacon, to ensure all activity is properly captured, manage your pipelines, forecast income, track trends and data.
• Provide timely reports internally on performance, informing budget setting and subsequent reforecasts as required

We’re building a Transport Solutions Team that works flexibly across all the tools in our delivery kit – from grants and innovation pilots to research, partnerships, and commercial interventions. • Lead the ongoing management activity for NCAT, including the development and implementation of systems, processes and governance structures to enable effective delivery.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Fundraising Manager to grow support for our work in the UK and internationally. 

You will lead the implementation of our 2026–2028 fundraising strategy, develop compelling supporter journeys and creating inspiring propositions that connect donors with the difference their generosity makes. Working closely with the CEO, Senior Management Team and Fundraising Committee, you will bring focus, energy and professional fundraising expertise to a charity with a loyal supporter base and significant potential for growth. 

Key Details:

Location:  UK (Flexible: Remote or Hybrid if preferred). There will be a few in-person meetings/events in our London office or other specific venues each year, with flexibility to work where convenient (office or home) most of the time. 

Hours: Part-time, 3 days per week (0.6 FTE). Flexibility over how hours are distributed across the week.

Salary:  £37,000 – £43,000 FTE, pro rata (c. £22,200 - £25,800 for 3 days per week), depending on experience

What You will do:

• Lead the delivery of HOPE worldwide UK’s fundraising strategy, with clear plans, priorities, KPIs and income targets.
• Develop a compelling case for support that inspires existing donors, re-engages lapsed supporters and reaches new and younger audiences.
• Design and deliver segmented supporter journeys across individual giving, regular giving, appeals and stewardship activity.
• Support the growth of sustainable income from high-potential streams including trusts and foundations, major donors, legacy giving, challenge events and corporate engagement.
• Work with programme colleagues to capture impact, develop strong donor reports and translate frontline insight into persuasive fundraising propositions.
• Oversee the effective use of the fundraising CRM, improving data quality, segmentation and insight-led decision making.
• Manage, mentor and encourage the Communications & Fundraising Team, creating clarity, focus and momentum.
• Ensure all fundraising activity is legal, ethical and compliant with the Code of Fundraising Practice, data protection requirements and internal policies.

Working closely with the Head of the UK Programmes, the Grant Manager will play a critical role in the development, delivery, and management of a significant portfolio of grants across the UK foundation’s priority programme areas, with a focus on health and wellbeing and children and young people (working on grant-making across other programme areas - arts, culture and heritage and environmental conservation as required).

The foundation has evolved significantly in recent years, and this is an exciting time to join the foundations as they look to grow and develop grant portfolios, continue to finesse their grant-making strategies, and deepen their understanding of the impact of their grants. While this role is UK focused, the post-holder will get exposure to the grant-making of affiliated foundations that have an international focus.

The candidate:
The successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge of and significant experience within the non-profit sector in the UK, ideally having a combination of grant-making experience as well as direct experience of working within, and/or acting as a consultant to, mid to large sized non-profits that are active in the fields of interest to the foundation.

In terms of subject matter expertise, candidates will have in-depth knowledge and experience within the Disadvantaged Children & Young People, and/or Health & Wellbeing sectors.

The Grantmaking Operations team sits within FGHR’s Operations department and is primarily focused on
ensuring that resources are reaching frontline activist organisations. The team seeks to hire a Grants
Specialist who will report to the Director of Grantmaking Operations and manage FGHR’s most complex
grantmaking programmes.
The successful candidate will join a high-performing, enthusiastic grants management team, a deeply

ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE POSITION:
Grantmaking
• Manage due diligence and enhanced grantmaking protocols for a complex and high-volume
portfolio of grants spanning low and high-risk operating environments.
 Inform the development and implementation of grantmaking plans, ensuring they are
robust and responsive to changing contexts and needs.
o Research compliance and financial regulation for various country contexts as needed and
flag potential areas of risk appropriately and in collaboration with GMO Leadership
o Identify and flag operational challenges that may have an impact on programmatic
grantmaking ambitions, potential donor commitments or grantmaking advisory bodies.
 Coordinate with Programme and Grantmaking Operations to ensure grants and grantee
relationships are managed according to their risk level and operating context.

recommendation processes, and timeline for grantmaking portfolios.
▪ Prepare and organise applicant materials and prospective grantee documents for
all grants.
▪ Manage incoming grant proposals and reporting, conduct due diligence in line

▪ Communicate with grantees in Arabic and French, serving as a primary contact at
FGHR, to support troubleshooting and accompanying them through partnership.
▪ Monitor and safeguard grantmaking, safety and security contexts within regional
and/or initiative programmes.
▪ Translate grant and Programme materials in alignment with Programme
strategies, portfolio priorities, and compliance requirements,

• Manage FGHR’s grants management system.
 Maintain accurate grant and grantee records – updating grant, organisation, and contact

 Generate reports and dashboards for colleagues across departments, as needed.
 Code all grantmaking requests and budgeting information.
 Support enhancements to the grants management system, including the testing and
implementation of back-end developments, to improve user experience, workflow
efficiency, and data integrity.
 Collaborate with Grantmaking Operations colleagues to test new releases and system
updates, identify areas for improvement, and support the resolution of bugs and
technical issues.
 Contribute to the design and creation of the EOI and proposal forms in the grants
management system.
 Support the successful launch of newly implemented workflows and forms by testing
functionality, identifying issues, and assisting with troubleshooting and resolution.
 Support the design and implementation of grantee portals to improve grantee
interactions and reporting.
 Apply systems thinking and user-centred design principles to support operational
innovation and process improvement.
Project Coordination
• Lead on GMO internal projects; brainstorming and implementing workflow solutions to team
endeavours, ensuring cohesive and aligned project reporting and closing.
• Provide support to GMO Leadership
 Support engagement with all project stakeholders, gathering, and integrating feedback to
improve project management processes.
 Proactively identify risks associated with projects, recommending effective solutions to
ensure successful implementation.
 Inform the scheduling and coordination of project activities, including meetings and
deadlines.
 Document project outcomes and adaptations ensuring learning is embedded in
grantmaking operations.
