About You and The Role
We are now seeking a forward thinking Finance Manager to lead our finance function and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our organisation.
This is more than a finance role, it’s an opportunity to guide, influence and strengthen the financial sustainability of a charity creating meaningful, lasting change. The role requires strong financial management experience, including statutory reporting and VAT. Experience of charity accounting and SORP is desirable, but candidates from the private sector with the ability to learn charity‑specific requirements are welcome, further requirements of the role are provided below.
As our Finance Manager, you will:
Provide financial leadership across the organisation, working closely with the Chief Executive, Trustees, and Senior Leaders.
Lead on financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial risk management.
Ensure robust financial controls, compliance with charity accounting standards (SORP), and oversee VAT, statutory requirements, and audits.
Manage and motivate the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Strengthen financial systems, reporting, and automation to support operational efficiency.
Support project managers with financial planning, grant management, and contract delivery.
Drive improvements that support long term organisational sustainability.

We’re looking for an experienced and dynamic finance leader who brings:
Essential
A recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent).
Experience delivering a wide range of finance duties, including management accounts, budgeting, strategic analysis, payroll and year end processes.
Experience managing finance teams.
Outstanding analytical, organisational, and financial planning skills.
Excellent communication skills, able to present complex information clearly to colleagues and trustees.
High integrity, professionalism, and commitment to the values and mission of the charity.
Desirable
Experience in community-based grant funded projects.
Experience strengthening financial controls and supporting fundraising or contract bidding.
Knowledge of procurement procedures or state aid regulations.
Familiarity with Sage Intacct.

Purpose of the job
As Corporate Partnerships Manager, you will be joining a supportive and highly ambitious Corporate Partnerships Team sitting within the wider Fundraising Department. You will work closely with colleagues across Fundraising, Communications and Marketing, Delivery and Impact, collaborating to maximise the value and impact of corporate partnerships.

Key responsibilities
Account Management
Lead on the account management of a portfolio of UK Youth’s high-value corporate partners, maximising income and wider partnership value for UK Youth.
Work cross-organisationally to design and deliver high-quality engagement opportunities for new and existing partners, with a focus on skills-based volunteering, pro bono support, commercial products, and integrated communications, storytelling and brand engagement opportunities.
Collaborate closely with Communications and Marketing to amplify partnerships, ensuring strong visibility, compelling storytelling and mutual brand value.
New Business
Work closely with the Head of Corporate Partnerships and Corporate Partnerships Manager (New Business) to build and maintain a strong, well-qualified pipeline of new opportunities.
Proactively approach new companies within priority sectors, developing and delivering high-quality pitches and tailored propositions to secure new partnerships.
Support the team to conduct thorough due diligence and capacity analysis on new partnerships and re-funding opportunities.
Line Management and Team
Line manage one Corporate Partnerships Officer who primarily supports account management, while also contributing to new business activity, enabling them to deliver excellent partnership management and identify opportunities to maximise income and support.
Uphold and maintain account management and new business processes, including individual stewardship plans, accurate recording of activity on the CRM, income pipeline tracking and due diligence.

The role
Young Scot is seeking a strategic, entrepreneurial and delivery-focused leader to help shape and drive a step-change in how we generate income and build partnerships.
This is a pivotal role at a defining moment for the organisation with the recent appointment of a new CEO, as well launching a new organisational strategic vision. As we evolve our operating model and ambitions, you will lead the development of a more diverse, sustainable and innovative income portfolio - ensuring we can continue to deliver meaningful impact for young people aged 11–26 across Scotland.
Working closely with the CEO and senior leadership team (SLT), you will design and implement a new income generation strategy, unlocking opportunities across corporate partnerships, trusts and foundations, public sector funding and earned income streams. You will take an “intrapreneurial” approach - building new propositions, testing ideas and embedding a culture where income generation is seen as a shared organisational priority.
This role offers significant autonomy, creativity and influence. You will be equally comfortable setting strategic direction and personally leading high-value relationships, as you are enabling written bids and researching new partnerships.

Develop and deliver a clear, ambitious income generation and partnerships strategy aligned to organisational priorities, with metrics and deliverables set.
